As the sun began it's daily descent on the horizon, the Cemetery was cast in the reddish glow of the dying sun. This beautiful spectacle of nature had not gone unwatched, as a pair of blue eyes gleamed in the disappearing light and a lithe form moved up the hillside to the Cemetery.
Vega had always liked watching the sunset, it was a constant reminder of the beauty that nature had to offer. Sitting in silent contemplation at the top of the hill, Vega swiveled her head back to gaze onto the darkness that now blanketed the cemetery. Graves, tombstones, sepulchers, sarcophagi, anything and everything related to death resided here. The scent of death and decay hung heavy in the mists and fog that hung above the desolate ground.
As the winds of spring shook through the night air, Vega shivered. Raising herself up to walk around the graves and explore she thought, 'Might as well get to know the place at least'. The little she-wolf stood out like a sore thumb in this dreary place, golden fur in the darkness and dinginess of the cemetery. The female paced through the rows of tombstones, she found that exploring this strange place made it less and less frightening to her. But as son as she risk to let her guard drop, her nose took to the air to sniff the breeze, and her ears perked high on her head like sonar. Maybe, quite possibly she was not alone in this dreadful place.

Drox sat there still as a rock. Not moving as not to be seen. He had been there this whole time, lurking behind a gravestone. He had been watching Vega's every move. "she moves about so gracefully" he thought as he stood there. Slowly Drox began to move towards a gravestone. Keeping both eyes on the majestic beauty in front of him. Little did Vega know he had been following her all day. He had been eating a white tail earlier in the morning when he smelled the most graceful of perfumes. He looked over toward the cemetery and there stood a beautiful female. He got up from his meal and began towards her. He moved about only in the shadows as not to be noticed by her. He then sat behind a gravestone and watched her enjoy the sunset. But now she was on to him. "What do I do now?" he thought. "Get out of my territory" he said to her even though he knew that this was in fact not his territory. But it was the only thing that came to mind.

Vega had been right in her assumption that someone else was present. And as the large male appeared so quickly from behind the gravestone, Vega could've died of fright though her reaction did not show it. She tried her best to remain calm, though her stance became rigid and defensive. "Your territory?" She inquired, cocking an ear to the side in inquisition, "I'm sure you're aware this land belongs to no wolf and remains neutral ground," she informed him, trying to be polite. By the way he had shown such hostility, Vega wasn't sure what his reaction might be.
She was in no shape for a fight, especially with this male, who towered over her in height and was much more heavily muscled than her. After a long journey to this horrible place a duel was just about the last thing she needed and she was going to try everything she could to avoid a confrontation. She relaxed her stance a bit to try and calm the male down and let him know that she did not mean to fight with him.

Drox arched his back and showed his teeth. "how dare you tell me what is mine or what isn't" he growled. Of course Drox didn't want his soft side to show, so he overreacted. He liked Vega a lot and wouldn't harm her. But he sure was trying to scare her. Drox began to calm down. He began to pace back and forth trying to think of something to say. He didn't want to tell her he had been stalking her all day. But he no longer wanted to be mean. "Why are you here anyways? What's a character like you doing in a dark and dreary place like this? You don't belong here. You could be hurt and I won't help defend you." He sat down next to the gravestone he had watched her from. "You should really go. There are a lot of things that i can't control that go on around here after dark." he says to her.

Vega's fur bristled and her pose became rigid once more as the male snarled at her and threatened her. This encounter had not begun well, which disappointed Vega slightly. She hadn't seen, smell, heard another wolf since the incident that left her a loner, and the company was a welcome change. But Vega was starting to lose hope in creating a friendly communication with this strange male who stood before her.
The tide then began to change as the male relaxed and began to pace, thinking of something to follow up his snappy threat. Vega's fur settled back into place as she sat back on her haunches, her delicately featured head following the male as he moved back and forth before he finally spoke again. "Why am I here? I am simply a wanderer, feeling the need to separate myself from a fixed packlife," she explained simply with a slight shrug of her shoulders.
The male's statement about not defending her aroused a chuckle from the blonde she wolf, "No need to worry about my well being sir, I can defend myself just fine," though this was a bluff, most of the female's attacks were no good in close-range combat, but her speed was a trusty escape route from danger. Vega watched the male as he took a seat next to a nearby tombstone. After responding to all of his interrogations, Vega smiled at him, "Well then, I've answered all of your questions, I believe I owe you an introduction, I'm Vega. And why are you here exactly?" she inquired when a turning of her head.

Drox shook his head. "why am i here? I'm here because this is where I belong." Drox lays down and thinks to himself what to say next. "My name is Droxili, I was abandoned by my pack a year ago for getting into a fight with the alpha." he told her. " I had nowhere else to go so I've made the shadows my home." Drox promptly stands and begins towards Vega. He inches towards her slowly not knowing what her reaction will be. He circles her sniffing every inch. "What is a girl like you doing without a pack?" he asked intuitively. She seemed like a female of higher class. One that would surely have a pack and a mate. But she didn't. Drox then sat behind her, not looking at her says "I think you should be going now. There is a pack that wanders through here about this time every night on there way back from hunting. They are a very violent pack and will more than likely hurt you." he warned

Vega nodded slowly as Droxili explained his arrival to these wastelands of the cemetery. It was a sad story indeed, and Vega surely felt bad for the loner. Fights with alphas were all too common these days within packs, most alphas Vega had encountered were power-hungry and driven only be the need to please themselves and not the pack. They were hardly leaders at all, and surely needed to be knocked out of power.
As Drox finished speaking and circled her, Vega remained calm, he seemed docile enough at the moment. She smiled at his question, "I have grown up in a very sheltered environment. My pack is made up of members of my close and extended family, so obviously our numbers are quite few. Having never seen the lands outside the pack boundaries, my curiosity drove me to explore," she explained politely. Vega perked her ears at his last statement, she didn't want to leave just yet, she had come her to rest after such a long trek. "Ah, by that pack you mean Sallin," Vega said with a smirk, "The only creatures that need to fear what lies in Sallin are dogs and those associated with them," she spoke with some bitterness. "The wolves of Sallin's ranks would not dare touch me here, for this is sacred neutral ground, I'm safe until I leave," She added.

Drox sat there for a moment. He knew this but merely wanted her to leave. He didn't want to get even more attached to her than he already became. "Just go!" he exclaimed. "You are not welcome here!" he said knowing rightfully that this is neutral ground and she was allowed there. He got up and began to walk back towards the gravestone he had been sitting at. "Go back to your pack. Enjoy their company. You don't want to be like me. An outcast whose not welcome in any pack. You at least have family to run back to. I don't." He said as he began towards the gates of the cemetery.

A frown rose onto Vega's lips and she sighed. This was starting to go well for once, and Vega was enjoying Droxili's company. True to form, Vega would remain a stubborn fool, and wouldn't be so easily told off like that. This mysterious loner, Droxili, had sparked the curiosity of Vega, and she increasingly wanted to know more about him. But with him pushing her away like this, it was gonna be a daunting task, but Vega was not one to give in.
She trotted a few steps behind him as he made his way to the cemetery gates, "Droxili wait!," she called to him, "I'm not leaving, no matter what you try to scare me off and push me out," she said quite candidly.

Acting though he was fed up with Vega he said "Why are you so bent on staying here? The only thing here are these corpses and me!" He enjoyed her company. For once Drox didn't feel alone. A feeling came over him that he hadn't felt before. He couldn't like Vega. She was the opposite of him. But he did. But he couldn't let her know how he felt. He would ruin his reputation. Just then the feeling that they weren't alone in the cemetery came over him. He hunched low to the ground, nose working out the different scents, ears erect listening intently, Drox began to show his teeth and growl.

'He's as bad as I am when it comes to being stubborn', Vega thought to herself, shaking her head. She opened her mouth to reply to his question when the howling wind blew a new scent towards the pair. A bad feeling started to creep in the back of the little she-wolf's mind, the presence of whatever was watching them was foreboding and didn't give off the friendliness of an approaching ally 'Oh please, not now'.
Vega hunched low to the ground, the fur bristling on the back of her neck, and her tall ears draw back flat against her skull. Her lips quivered as they drew back in a threatening snarl, ivory teeth coming into view.

Out of the shadows came a dark cold figure. "Sorry to interrupt." said the figure. Drox knew that figure. He just couldn't remember the name. "But I have a deed that needs to be carried out before I can leave." Just then it hit him. Drox said "Acksel!" He looked over at Vega who had a puzzled look on her face. "Well hello brother! Long time no talk." Acksel said. "Leave us alone Acksel!" Drox exclaimed. "I will but first there is something I need to do Drox. You killed two of your own brothers. I have been sent by father to hunt you out and avenge their deaths." Acksel explained. "FATHER!?! Where is he? I need to see him!" said Drox. "Why so you can kill him too! I have news for you Drox the whole pack is on the hunt for you. They won't stop until you are dead. To get to father you must get through me first. Tell your little female to skidadle." he told Drox. "Don't talk about her like that! Lets settle this now!"

As the figure appeared out of the fog and shadows of the cemetery, Vega's lips curled into an even more menacing growl at the strange male. But then the situation started to turn strange, this seedy-looking character now being called Acksel was in fact Drox's brother. 'Hmmmmmmm ok I can kinda see the resemblance,' she thought to herself. Then it just got even freakier with a new part of Dorx's past unraveled with the killing of his brothers. Vega turned to Drox and stared at him, a wide-eyed expression on her face.
The scene wasn't looking good at all, and Vega knew a fight was inevitable between the two dueling brothers. "Tell your little female to skidadle," Acksel had said. OH the condescention in his tone! Vega's icy eyes narrowed and she growled deep within her throat as she watched the pair of males start to quarrel and fight.

Drox and Acksel began circling one another. "You leave her out of this. This is our problem." Drox said. "Doesn't matter to me you'll be dead soon anyways." said Acksel. At that Drox swung his left paw and caught Acksel in the snout with his claws. The two began to fight. Acksel bit Drox on the spine. Then in the blink of an eye Drox spun around and bit Acksel in the neck. Acksel screamed as he hit the cold damp ground. Drox stood over the motionless body. He had bit through the jugular vein in Acksel's neck killing him almost instantly. "I'm sorry you had to witness that" he said to Vega not looking at her.

Watching the fight from the sidelines, Vega knew this would not end well, as neither of the brothers were willing to back down and leave. However, the scuffle was short lived as Drox outshone his brother Acksel in that art of combat and soon had his rival sibling by the neck. Knowing what would happen in the next few moments, Vega quickly looked away as Acksel released a blood-curdling scream and hit the soft earth with a limp thud.
Knowing that the fight was finally over, Vega turned back to face Drox. Acksel had given him a rather nasty wound on his back, but besides that, he was unscathed, thankfully. She walked towards him slowly, hoping his anger had died with his brother and that his rage wouldn't turn on her. She took a seat next to him, turned to face him, "Are you alright?" she asked, her voice soft and caring.
