Run...
The wolf's golden eyes were wild as the final beams of light reflected from them. He had only broken free of the Masters' chains an hour before, and he hadn't stopped running yet.
They're coming for you...
Loki didn't know how the chain had broken, and he didn't care. All that mattered was that it had, and he could finally get away from all the pain they had caused him. Once night fell, his gray-brown fur would surely blend in with the surroundings to the point that the humans couldn't find him, right?
They're going to catch you...
Whatever happened, he had to keep running. Away from the pain, away from the slavery, away from those evil eyes and burning pieces of metal. Scars ran along his body; memorials of the abuse... the torture. He had to get away.
Run...
He didn't see the graves he was passing, and even if he did, he wouldn't have known what they meant. The humans had never spoken of the place, and this had been a new route, the one they were taking to deliver something to some place... he didn't know.
He just had to keep running.

In all the chaos after the chain had broken, somehow she'd managed out of there too. The thought of leaving had been somewhere in the back of her mind for awhile, she realized now; it had just needed the right push to bring her into action. The dog that had always been attached to the back of the sled, his running, had been that push. She hadn't been tied to anything at the time, she'd never shown any reason for them to have to. Running away had...never been an option before, never even occured to her.
But now that she was out, running at top speed in the direction that the other - Rygg, the humans had usually referred to him as, just as they did Leda with her - had gone, the mutt tried to figure out just why she'd never thought of it. Even with the black harness rubbing against her in a way that made her desperately want it off, it was wonderful. Freedom, the thought came to her, though she was unsure as to why.
Presently, up ahead, she caught sight of the one she was following, perking her ears forward as she did so. A light bark was given to let him know she was following, not wanting to loose him again. Taborri, of course, had no idea that he was terrified right now. She'd seen the way he'd been treated before, all the time, but the way this 'escape' was making her feel, she thought that surely he would be in the same mindset.
Eventually she'd caught up to him, paying no mind to the setting sun or the gravestones flashing by. At first she was surprised that she didn't have to adjust her pace to stay beside him - where she'd ended up at this point - but it was a pleasant surprise. The mutt didn't say anything, considering it was lightly difficult to talk and run at the same time, but she assumed Rygg would say something first, anyway.

((Not at all xP))
He kept running, of course, not even noticing that he had a follower. When he had escaped, a lot of things had happened at once, and he only escaped through how chaotic it became.
Loki sat there, staring at the ground, trembling in the absolute fear that he felt at the time. He always felt like that... the humans made sure of it. They would burn him and cut him until he felt like that. In fact, they'd get the most evil reasons to do it, claiming that he was acting up, and that doing so was bad. He didn't know how to make himself any more submissive than he was.
The fire roared up then, fueled by a sudden gust of wind that went through camp. It caught the coat of one of the men, and he yelled out, slapping at it with his hand. Some of the others came with blankets and other cloth items that they could salvage from the sleds.
Suddenly, Loki realized that his chain was limp... nobody was holding the other end. He shivered as he thought about running, and what could happen if they caught him. Torture was an understatement with these people. But the thought of torture fueled him to run.
Run...
The other dogs started barking at this point. Some were trying to alert their humans that he was running -stupid brainwashed slaves- while others were yelling at him to get back to where he'd been. Of course... some of the latter started chasing after him.
A sudden smell triggered something in his mind and startled the fleeing wolf from his reverie. Looking behind him, he saw that human dog, the one they called Leda. She had always been their favorite... no doubt she was chasing after him to gain favor with her masters... bringing back the runaway would definitely look good for her.
He put on the strain at this time, forcing his un-exercised limbs to go faster. Hopefully, he could get away from her... she would no doubt overpower the wolf if she caught him.

(K *Will edit over this*)
Far up ahead in the settling fog among the graves a body shifted, the night was too cold for his liking and as he could tell he was too close to humans but he didn't care. Standing golden brown eyes flashed in the darkness, they were as cold as the fog and air around them all.
Silent paws tapped the ground as moonlight filtered through the clouds reveiling a large male, a silent but large huff escaped his lungs sending more fog into the cold air. Pathetic dogs, he could hear their barking saying one had escaped, wether he met them or not was his own problem and one he would deal with in the later.
Flicking his eyes over the stones he moved his tail slightly from side to side, light and dark greys mixing lightly with the light navy that ran over his shoulders and down his spine, such a strange color indeed. Ignoring the noise he moved to sit against a tomb stone.
He could hear the two that had gotten away approaching, they were being chased by the brainwashed ones, a smirk curled the wolf's black lips. He would help the ones being chased, he needed a good fight anyway.

When the one ahead sped up a bit, she blinked oddly, flicking her ears forward once more. "Hey-!" she barked lightly ahead, willing her limbs to carry her a bit faster. Without the weight of the sled weighing her down, she'd quickly discovered how much easier it was to run, but if nothing else in her life so far she'd learned to pace herself.
He was fast, though! Taborri wasn't certain why the humans had always treated him so badly if he could run this fast, why not treat him the way the others in the teams were? After a moment she let her ears fall back into a neutral position, not noticing the new scent that fell across the wind. She was never really aware of the different scents around her, even if the wolf lineage within her blood would allow her to track quite easily.

((So our posting order at the moment can be Tourniquet, Taborri, Loki, eh?))
Loki tried to keep himself at that pace, that breakneck pace that he was travelling at, but soon found it impossible. He began to pant, to slow down, and he knew that the other one was catching up.
Why had she been suprised? Surely, the longer the chase, the more rewarded she'd be when she took him back to her masters, right? It didn't matter at the moment... he could smell another wolf in front of him... at a distance, but one that he was closing. A wolf... like him. Different from the scent of one of the sled dogs, who were infected by the humans... it was a wonderful thing to smell. Freedom.
He only had to make it a little further, surely. Just a little more. But Loki could feel the energy draining... his legs growing cold, almost numbing as he tried to go faster.
Eventually, he was at a slower speed than he'd originally been at... and he didn't doubt the dog behind him would close in quickly... possibly quicker than he could close in on the beacon of safety ahead.

He stood yet again in his slight impaitiance, he never liked waiting much and it aggrivatd him. He could still smell the dogs chasing after the two escaped ones and his body was tense and ready for a fight.
Oh he would send those brainwashed cowards crawling back to where they belonged, they no longer could see the truth in their lives and so he would give them a little parting gift from the wild. His goldn brown eyes could make out the two figures approaching and he stood in their path, the could either stop or dart around him h didn't care, he only wanted to fight with the stupid ones now.

Ahead, she saw Rygg slow down, lifting her head somewhat. A few moments later she'd neared him, flicking her ears forward at the way he was panting, and slowing her pace to meet with his. She thought to say something, but in the condition he looked to be in, she didn't think he'd be able to respond.
With how close they'd gotten, the scent of the wolf nearby came to her nose, and she turned to look ahead once more, adjusting her pace now and then to keep with the other's. It was a different scent...but familiar too; it smelled a bit like Rygg, almost. At that point, she could hear the sound of the other dogs from the team coming closer. They weren't the quietest things, all huskies or some husky mix.
Flicking her ears back lightly, she turned her gaze back on the one beside her. "Hey, Rygg, right?" She started, hoping she'd gotten the name correct. "They're sort of gaining on us."
(I've gotta go real soon xD But I'll be back on later, to post again ^^)

Run?
Now, the wolf felt like he was about to burst. He hadn't really run for a very long time, and starting now didn't mean he would immediately get back into it. A long time of abuse and lacking exercise was never good for anyone, especially him.
Just a little farther... he could swear that he could see the wolf now, but wasn't quite sure. And Leda was behind him, gaining.
It was a suprise to hear her speak to him. Loki had been expecting from her what any other dog would have done: tackle him and hold him down until the rest came. Looking over at her, he felt his ears automatically flatten against his head, and he growled, though it was unpracticed and sounded more raspy than anything. "Why... do you speak to me... human dog?" He was panting in between the words, trying to focus on making it to the wolf... and hopefully safety.
(Aaaand... gotta go ^^; for 5 hours. See ya, everybody xD)

Finally losing patiance he ran toward them and quickly lept over both, landing heavily on the ground he moved into a crouch position and snarled as the human mogrels came even closer, with fur raised and fangs exposed he snarled at them forcing the animals to stop in their tracks.
He knew it would take them a while to get over their shock before they attacked, heh bringit on, he had taken down much tougher wolves that would have made these animals wet themselves in fear and then run away with tails between their legs. Oh this was gonna be fun...

"Well why wouldn't I?" she asked, seemingly confused at the question. "I followed you, didn't I?" The mutt decided to leave the comment of her being a 'human dog' be. It wasn't as if she'd chosen to live with the humans any more than he had...though she did, of course, feel bad of how different the two of them had been treated. She'd still known enough of her mother to have been told by her that she was half wolf. Part of her was wild, so she had every right to run away!
When the large wolf leapt over the two of them, she faltered in her step, skidding for a moment to a half-half in surprise at the large form. As he kept away from them and turned instead on the following sled dog's, she turned her attention back to Rygg, picking up speed lightly to catch up to him once more - as she'd slown down somewhat when she'd slid.
- - -
The dog's following had been barking all the while they were running, seemingly incredibly confident at the fact that they'd catch the runaway. They're leader (though she never exactly acted as one) was right next to him, they were sure, and she wouldn't let them down.
When the wolf landed in front of them, large as he was, the dogs in front skid to a stop. Raised to be submissive, and having only ever been dominant over the scrappy pack dog that the humans kept around, they were easily intimidated by his size. Obviously unwilling to fight, the dogs in the front quickly turned and bolted back towards where the humans were, tails between their legs; they were quickly followed by the others as the team caught sight of the wolf.

Loki's ears remained pinned against his head when Leda spoke again, though he obviously relaxed a bit, letting some of the stress go. When the new wolf jumped over their heads, Loki stopped quickly, turning and, yet again, letting some of the stress out of his stance. He might be lucky today... very lucky. But it all depended on whether the dog that had followed him was truly running away with him or not.
Now that he had stopped and relaxed a bit, Loki's mind processed what she had said earlier. "Us? Who said anything about us? You're just another one of the human's dogs... treated like royalty while I'm pushed into the back where they leer and glare and kick me around. You have no idea why I ran, and you never will. You might as well go on back with your friends. I'm sure the humans have something hot for them to eat. I'll stay out here and die, but I'll die of my own accord. Your humans will not have me." He snarled then, though it had never been practiced and was more comical than intimidating.

Tourn snorted as the dogs ran "Weaklings..." he muttered and got out of his crouch stance, honestly all dogs were usually weaklings and pathetic, how they crawled to anyone who would give them a hot meal...Bah!
Standing he shook out his grey and navy blue fur, slowly he moved his large paws to turn and face the other two, he still was itching for a fight but he wouldn't attack them as he saw no sport in the matter.
Giving a huff he sat on his haunches and watched the cold fog roll over the ground quietly, his golden brown eyes surveyed the grave markers without much interest as he sighed and relaxed himself.

Once Rygg had stopped, Taborri had let herself come to an abrupt stop as well, turning to face back towards him once more. She panted somewhat to catch her breath from the run, flicked her ears back for a moment at his comments, stung by his words and their truth.
"That might be true, but that doesn't mean I'm going back." she retorted, the normally funloving mutt taking on an aire of seriousness. "I've got just as much right in my blood to live out here as you do." There were two small bits of information she remembered from her time with her mother. Her name, and her father's lineage.
To the last part, about his dying, she flicked her ears forward again. For some reason, though she'd only now official met the wolf, she felt a need to offer assurance. As if the two had been companions for a long time, even if Rygg was showing obvious contempt towards her. "You'll probably not like hearing it, but so long as I'm traveling with you, I won't be letting you die."
They were, of course, strong words for someone in her situation. She had no idea how to hunt, no idea how to track. Her only talent was speed, which - though useful - was nothing without the other skills necisarry for survival in the wild. She let her eyes fall over towards the larger wolf that was sitting nearby, having let herself fall into a sitting position as well. "My name's Taborri, by the way." she offered to Rygg, loud enough so that the other wolf nearby could hear if he wanted to.
