Loki didn't completely trust her words, of course. His mind raced to make up an excuse -any excuse- as to why she was following him. There was no reason, no reason at all... she shouldn't care enough to track him this long... he wasn't important enough to the humans. Or was he? Could they not find another pup to kick around and yell at? Maybe the humans didn't think it legal to abuse one of their human dogs, but wolves were free range. Maybe...
She had implied that she was at least part wolf. He didn't understand that, of course... she didn't look it. Her hair was longer than those others of her breed, and one eye was golden, but what did that mean? Nothing! Maybe...
Her name was Taborri? That was certainly different... Leda. Taborri. Leda? She claimed to have a more foreign sounding name... Taborri... hmm. Maybe...
He'd have to get something straight then, wouldn't he? "My name isn't Rygg, while we're being honest. That was my slave name. My true name is Loki. Of course, those damn humans would know nothing about that, for all their strutting around. Rygg." He spat on the ground as best he could, despite a muzzle that made it hard to do a human gesture like that.
"And your name, hero of mine?" He turned to give a cautious look to the wolf that had relaxed back behind him.

Tourn blinked and slowly looked over his shouldr to stare at the one who had spoken to him, hmm the humans sure did a number on this pooch now didn't they? Ah well it never mattered anyhow, his name? That was a first, no one ever wanted to know him wether he had helpd them or not.
Blinking golden brown eyes he let out a huff before turning to face the other two with his emotionless eyes and flicked his ears forward, so loki and Tabbori....Interesting names enough was all he could really say about it. "Tourniquet is my name....Or just Tourn." he replied in a deep fluid voice.

Taborri flicked her ears back lightly at Loki's small rant about the humans, and the name they'd given him. The term he'd used...slave name. It gave her a suddenly different look on what the humans referred to them as. Truthfully, they're 'names' from the humans had always almost sounded more like a command, usually only spoken in companionship with a point in the direction they were to go. Leda to the lead, Rygg to the back, and all the other dogs in their respective places.
When Loki spoke to the other wolf nearby, she turned to regard him as well, perking her ears forward as his name was given, along with a polite, "Glad to meet you." The mutt turned then to Loki, nodding lightly in reply to his earlier supply of a name as well. "And glad to know your real name, too."
Here she let herself fall silent again, waiting for another of them to speak. What else was she suppose to do? Taborri didn't really have much of a plan after 'quick! run after him!'. And in retrospect, that wasn't much of a plan in itself either. It'd work out, though. She was sure of it.

"Thank you for saving us, Tourniquet." That would be the extent of Loki's gratitude. He had never known anything of the sort... nobody had ever really helped him in his lifetime. Even this dog sitting here, who acted so amiable, had once just sat around and watched as the humans unfairly burned and tortured him, and listened to their spouted off reasons.
Nothing was fair, of course, but still. "Yes... so..." it was too obvious that he didn't say he was glad to even be near her. Instead, he sat down and groaned. It had been too long since he'd been able to stand for that long. The humans believed even that to be exercise. "Why did you follow me?"

Tourn sighed and stood, shaking off his fur he quietly slipped past them and through the fog before laying quietly on an unmarked grave, giving a huff that sent some dirt into the air he stared blankly ahead with no real reason to leave and no reason to stay either.
His eyes trailed up to look quietly at the sky and he never said anything else, instead he kept his ears perked and listened to the other two quietly.

"Why?" she repeated the question, blinking as if it were the strangest thing he could possibly have asked of her. "I..." she began, flicking her ears back in an unsure way, trying to muster up the reasoning behind her actions.
"I guess I've...always sort of wanted to leave." she went on, lifting her gaze then to meet the wolf's, "Somewhere in the back of my mind, yeh know? It's just never..." she paused here again, shifting her gaze back to the ground as she looked for the right words. Why had she never tried to leave before? Once more, she looked back to Loki, flicking her ears forward as she did so, and almost shrugging as much as a wolf can.
"Never really been an option." she finished.

The whole time she spoke, Loki sat there and gave her a level, golden, almost unblinking stare. He assumed that it was the reason that she hesitated and stumbled over herself, but that wasn't completely for sure. He knew he'd never figure her out. Sitting here, staring, he couldn't figure out why she'd come after him. Since she'd mentioned it, he could see those small wolf features in her, but it wasn't enough to warrant a real try, in his opinion. Of course, she'd been treated like royalty... the lead dog.
When she finally finished, he snorted... kinda. It was one of those reactions that's like 'ha, how stupid', but he tried to soften it. She really didn't know what it was going to be like out here, did she? "You've left the dog world behind, I'm afraid to say. Out here, from what I know, there are wolves, and they're not partial to dogs. Maybe somewhere, back in our ancestry," he stressed 'our' a bit, to show that he /was/ including her, to an extent, "the humans might have mistreated us as well, and our race has never forgotten."

Lifting his worn body again Tourn looked over his shoulder at them quietly, well at least the male seemed to know how the world outside of dogs and humans worked but he was sure the female had no inkling to what trouble sh could get into out here.
Letting out a snort he shook out his fur and stared ahead, his brother should be hear soon but dang did it take him forever to move about in the fog, he was more suited to dry areas then foggy and wet places.
