(OOC: Yay! Thanks, guys!)
Hallow's female alpha had been wandering the cobblestone streets somewhat aimlessly for a few hours now. Needing a break from her duties, she'd asked a younger canine to take over and watch the reindeer, knowing that not much was to be done for the rest of the day concerning herding. Every now and then a child would pass, reaching up to playfully grab at the collie's ears or ruffle her fur. An adult would sometimes give her a pat as well, but most of the humans were too preoccupied with their own duties around the markets and taverns to really give Echo any notice. In any case, she was a common sight in the village, and a great deal of respect was held by both human and canine as they passed each other nonchalantly on the streets. A typical day...at least, until the alpha caught wind of faint, pained yelps drifting along the wind.
Scaling a few stacked crates, the collie took to the rooftops, her fur waving in the wind gracefully even as she hurried toward the pained cries. At first the female expected a simple scrap between a few of the village strays, but soon the scent of a bear reached her....as well the the scent of blood. Ducking slightly as she hesitated, Echo was quick to regain her composure, and soon enough, she reached the bloody sight.
It was a miracle he was still alive. The elderly wolf that stood before the giant beast had obviously taken a beating, and even if he managed to survive the ordeal at hand, it was a question as to whether or not he would later survive. Aware of two other canines (as well as a bird) in the immediate area, the alpha ran without hesitation toward the ebony wolf. He may not have been a resident of Hallow, but so long as he was on her territory, Echo would fulfill her duty as guardian of the village...a protector of those in need.
She would not allow the old wolf to fall.
As the dainty female leaped toward the giant bear, she would bring a paw out in an attempt to push the black and white wolf out of the way, and hopefully send him tumbling into the shadows where he would be away from immediate danger. Even if she missed or he caught his balance, Echo would keep her focus set on the grizzly's left cheek as she leaped, hopefully injuring his eye as her jaws came to bite down on the target area.

(OOC: I wasn't sure if anyone wanted to reply before Echo, so I'll go ahead and post. Let me know if anyone wants me to wait before I post again:))
Despite her build, Echo had the ability to hold on to an enemy's flesh with an iron grip, as shown by the fact that she still had a hold on the bear's cheek even as he thrashed to rid himself of the elderly wolf...the wolf who, even with the collie's obvious attempt to give him a chance to escape and tend to his wounds, continued to battle.
Without warning, the bear reacted to the wolf's attack, swinging his head toward one of the walls surrounding them and threatening to catch Echo between the creature's massive skull and stone. Releasing her grip, the female pushed off and landed on the street with a slight stumble. Quick to once again attempt to drive the old wolf away from the fight, she barked, her desperation now painfully obvious.
"Old man, stand down and allow me to handle this! Accept your wounds and flee!"

(OOC: Tormand, you aren't planning to kill of NightKill in this thread, are you? He seems to have taken a lot of hits from such a powerful animal, so I don't think he could take much more without being killed or dying soon after the fight. If so, that's alright, but if you aren't planning to kill him off and plan on him taking more hits, I'd say that might be on the verge of godmoding.)

(Sorry I've not been able to post, guys! Been moving. Hey, Kahvs!)
Guardian lept nimbly about as the fight continued. Seeing that this new collie female could help Nightkill with the bear, he ran over to Donnatrix. "Donn! Donn, come on, let's get you somewhere safe!" He yipped, shaking with fear at the sight of the bear, but trying not to let it show.

((Yeah, I know about the horror that is moving. ;D))
Donnatrix didn't speak. He was silently motionless, his eyes on the bear. Donn was usually one to slink away at the first sign of trouble, but the sudden surprise of a creature that had appeared so suddenly had caused him a great shock. He looked at Guardian. Donn hadn't listened to what he said, and his ears were flat against his head. "Eh?" he said quietly. Donn crept back a bit, intimidated by Guardian's sudden movements.

"It's alright. Don't think I'm gonna hurt you." Guardian assured, ushering towards his 'house'. "Come on!"

Guardian's movements still caused Donn to feel very afraid. It wasn't something he could help, he had several phobias that he was born with, which included being touched by another living animal. He moved back, away from Guardian. Unknowingly, Donn was moving in the direction of Guardian's home. The dark wolf was barely listening to Guardian's words, all he saw was wolves fighting, and one closer to him, moving closer all the time. He whimpered, and tried to hide in the shadows.

Guardian nodded to him and ran over to help Nightkill and that new character. He lept at the bear's back, trying to get a hold on the shoulder.
