Bored To No End (Anyone!)

Guardian smiled, hoping that the crow and the grey she-wolf didn't mind. He lay down, careful not to disturb his new bird-friend on his head. He dippd his head to the starving wolf. "You seem to need it more than us all. I won't deprive a wolf of the food it needs to survive. It would be just like murdering you myself. You need it, and I just can't bring myself to defend a catch that has been half-ignored anyways." He shrugged. "I'm just that kind of dog."

[Donn]

Donn watched cautiously. He went over what Guardian had said. He didn't sound murderous. Not devious. Donn doubted the dog was lying. Slowly, ever so slowly, and crept forward. Suddenly, a wave of fear went over him. It was irrational fear, and was the result of his phobias. He quickly snatched up the food in his fangs and retreated back a bit, waiting for Guardian to do something. Whn he wasn't immediately killed, he relaxed a bit, and started scarfing down the meat as fast as he could. Not much was left when he was done with it, however the whole time Donn made sure to keep an eye on Guardian. Even though he had just been helped by the dog, Donn was never one to trust, well, anyone, actually. When he had finished, he gave Guardian his full attention once more, this time to satisfy his curiosity, starting with names. "What is your naame, then?"

"It's Guardian," The half-dog replied. He flicked his ears in curiousity as the other devoured the prey. He nodded in acceptance. "Yours?" He asked, turning his gaze from the ragged scraps to the wolf himself.

[Donn]

Donn paused for a moment, thinking on whether or not to reply truthfully, or at all. He was still crouched down a bit, and as a result, to make eye contact with Guardian he had his head tilted up a bit, his pale eyes staring into Guardian's. "My name is Donnatrix. Do you live here" he said quietly.

[Shantik]

(I love that name! It rocks!)

Guardian smiled. He flicked his ears and replied. "Not quite. I go from place to place...This place just seems to be a nice area to stay in for a while." He looked up at the sky, his eyes glittering and a smile on his face. "This is my homeland."

[Donn]

(Long, long story behind it.)

Donn tilted his head to one side. "Homeland?" he repeated. It was a new word to him, for he ddin't have a homeland, and spent his days, as Guardian apparently did, gonig from place to place, only more 'sneaking and looking suspicious' style.

Donn looked up irritably. What was Guardian staring at? Donn didn't see anything of interest, and didn't pay much attention to the night sky. He was tired. While Guardian was looking up, Donn moved back a bit, plopped down right down onto the ground, not caring where, and tried to go to sleep, which was harder than he expected. He closed his eyes, but could still hear Guardian.

A new wolf was walking be when he heared the dession. He was come from the north.

"Hello, Im nightkill. and who might you be?" Night kill said in a soft voice. He had to dark gold eyes. Black fur and white paws.

(Nightkill? Also a neat name...So many neat names...)

Guardian flicked his ears. He had kept one eye on Donn as he lay down to rest. He seemed tired, and Guardian would not bother him further. He nodded and turned to hear the sound of another voice. He dipped his head. This newcomer was more friendly than he. He turned about to fully face Nightkill.
"I am Guardian, this is Donnatrix." He motioned to the wolf, hoping that he didn't mind Guardian introducing him.

"He turned to both of the then sat. "Where do you come from."

Benjamin had been too bust preening himself to notice that, quite suddenly, he was in the middle of canine central. He jumped, his feather ruffling in alarm. He began to breathe quite quickly, his sharp yellow eyes swtiching this way and that. He shifted uneasily from foot to foot and chrred softly, working on containing that anxiety, lest it be used against him.

Guardian smiled at Nightkill. "Here. I've lived here for as long as I can remember."

He looked up at the anxious bird smelling full of fear. "Are you ok?" He asked softly.

(SHORTNESS!!! Nooooooo!!! Oh, well...I guess...I gotta work on that though.)

Night Kill grined then turned to see the bird.

Donn had not actually realised Nightkill was there. He had been trying to get to sleep, but he constant murmuring caused him to flick an eye open into annoyance. He saw Nightkill, and sprang up, leapt about three metres back, snarling. He was shocked. Donn was a paranoid, furtive creature, who did not like meeting people, let alone having them anywhere near him. Guardian was an exception in that he had been kind, a new concept to Donn, and in return, Donn would bear his existence. "Who is that?" Donn asked Guardian, not even bothering to make eye contact with Nightkill. It was very rude of him not to ask Nightkill himself, but Donn didn't really have a concept of politeness, so he didn't realise. He only wanted to know if they were a threat or not.

Night KIll notice the rudeness of the pup. " Pup , if your going to ask my name ask to me!" He bared his fangs at donn. He did not like disrespect.
