The movement of the brown wolf shot adrenalin seething through the alpha's veins. She had been ready for an attack, but the speed of this creature was unexpected. It had been long since she had been challenged on her own boarders, but bitter ways died hardest of all. As though time itself slowed, Nightshade allowed her shoulders to buckle low, her claws tearing into the earth beneath her. Hauling her body to the side, she tucked her head low to protect her neck just as the other wolf's teeth prepared to tear into the soft, vulnerable flesh. She felt hot breath on her face, and something hard and sharp caught her shoulder. But she was faster than this. She knew it.
Just as silence had sounded prior to this, so it returned for a moment. Too slight to sense but for the dimmest of wavers. In an instant everything snapped, and as the other wolf prepared to clear her, Nightshade shot towards her, her own fangs barred and ready to sink deep to the bone. Aiming to hit just behind RayJ's own shoulder, the she-wolf began to close her jaws. The striking force that could rasp the skin clean away without having to draw back.
What the white wolf was doing did not concern the alpha. Her mind had locked to all else but this. Beyond this fight, there was nothing else. It was the strength that could destroy her if she let it control her for too long. For where it gave her focus on this, anything else would not even register. The need to call for backup would go unheeded, just as any rational thought of retreat or withdrawal. These thoughts meant nothing to Nightshade here. She and her attackers were locked in a void that she could not escape unwillingly.
Her own wound could trouble her later, but the blood pounded in her head and shattered all thought of pain. She had not become infamous by howling orders at curs. Nightshade knew how to fight, and felt no fear as she faced her own mortality. The bloodlust seared hot within her. The primeval fury that had destroyed so many before this night. She had not climbed from the dust to be killed by two intruders out for blood. This night would not be her end. She knew that better than anything in the blinding light of hatred and destruction.

The wolf let out a yelp as her skin was torn by the sharp fangs of the alpha. She winced in pain as she skidded to a stop in front of her, swiftly landing on all four paws. She bared her fangs, dripping crimson with fresh blood. She had a lust for blood tonight, a lust for killing; a lust for power. She crouched down low, her muscles flexing in preperation, and then she used those muscles to spring off the ground and shoot straight for Nightshade. She too had felt no fear as she opened her jaws wide and aimed for the throat. But, instead of hitting her straight on, she turned, just slightly, in order to slash down her side and shoulder, of course, only if she had caught her off guard.

White pelted, but silver glimmering, the white fae continued upward to the top of the rock pile, her ears pinned back not in submission, but in disgust and annoyance. Well, not quite...just hatered. Storm was her name, the one and only. Her bloodlust was at the top of the charts, beyond the highes of heaven itself.
Nightshade and RayJ's litle ramble was giving Storm a clue as to how to attack, forward, side, or behind. Of course off gaurd, but Storm was a heavily muscled wolf, even for a female. Her muscles buldged every time her paws landed on the forsaken earth. In full speed in a run right on target, this femme could deliver a deathdifying blow and kill in a heart beat. She was a trained assassin in her old pack, and these skills went along perfectly with her strength and bloodthirt soul.
Storm came upon the alpha and her comrade RayJ, peering at them, watching with no intimidation nor appeal, but she couldn't resist a good fight. She crouched down, her hind legs fit neatly under her lower belly, and her fore-paws right under her chest. She was ready to pounce like a cat and a mouse. Bright blue orbs watching, waiting to reveal the perfect spot to lunge and snap at.
She figured that Nightshade was too busy with RayJ that she had a chance to take her turn, so she took the advantage. Her powerful feet forced themselves against the ground, sending her into the air with amazing force and astonishing speed. Huge white fore-paws stretched themselves foreward, ready to grab anything that they landed on, and a jaw filled with knife sharp fangs and teeth ready to tear and rip off any flesh that came to contact.

[[Hope you don't mind me..]]
True, these lands were forsaken, and it also was true that they held the most deadly creatures in all the lands of Kloteck. The moon shone still in the sky, and still it was quiet. All except for the howling wind, which was the only thing that seemed to move. But, so wrong was the statement, it was unbelievable. All around, the forest was alive, but seething about in all their deadly ways without being seen.
You heard nothing, and the forest was just as silent as he. The winds shifted slightly, and the Sallin Assassin disappeared into the night, bonding with the shadows, heralding his stealth and pure black coat. His body was set low to the ground, stalking, coming up from behind his target. His target blended in not, and the pure white of it's pelt stood out against the failing light of this ebony forest.
His reason was clear, the protection of his Alpha, whom he was loyal to and served to the end of time, never wavering. Two wolves, including Nightshade, were already locked in a fight, but not the sole wolf to the side of their battle, the one who was at least smart enough to take advantage of a brawl in progress. His pads carried his swift and in silence, not a noise to be heard. Slinking in, he waited, playing the game that was unfolding. The deadly, deadly game.
As the intruding she-wolf launched herself into the air, he flashed out of the darkened undergrowth. She was in mid-air when came at her, an attack that wouldn't be dodged easily, and he even knew a counter for that if it happened. His form was still blended with the shadows, causing him to go unseen by the normal eye, and he to, now, was in flight. His jaws opened only when he got a foot from his target, and they snapped out like a rattlesnake. If he got the she-wolf, he had all intentions of throwing her to the ground, away from his Alphess. Protecting Nightshade from any further harm other than her current opponent.

It wasn't until then that Storm noticed not a flash, but a movement and disturbance in the moon's rays from the shadows coming towards her. Of course the enemy wolf was swallowed in the night, but that didn't change a thing for scent. This new wolf's scent came to her as he neared her form, and she quickly snarled visiously.
The white fae attempted to squiggled about, dismounting her form to the point where it bent in a curve so as the wolf passed her without any injuries. But this tactic didn't always work, so Storm allowed herself to be pushed over, but not to give up. Oh no, that wasn't in this fae's nature.
Storm tumbled to the ground, a bit of a summer sault, in a way. Paws, tails and ears flopped in the porcess, black and white. A good combination, wouldn't you say? Storm shot her eyes open, seeing one of the black wolf's paws near. Storm grinned, and parted her jaws to reveal long sharp fangs that could sink to the bone and rip off tails, ears, and toes. With also grinding teeth to finish off bone of a moose. Pupils narrowed and were almost completely swallowed by bright blue irises that shimmered in the dull moonlight, and fangs gleaming silver as they bared in the night air.

Erupting from the shadows, teeth bared, and an almost demonic hiss seething from his throat, the brute came straight for that writhing mass of white. She snarled viciously at him, but the noise alone did not slow his bounding movement. He was still half on the ground as it twisted, and he arched as he pushed off from the ground. Red eyes glared as he made full contact with his target, jaw snapping out as to dig into the wolf's flesh. He could have sworn he saw and tasted blood, but it might have been his imagination, or maybe, his strike actually hit.
Both of them cascaded to the ground, and the white wolf tumbled. Blackrage forced himself around in the air, trowing his feet to the earth below, landing of his four only to leap away again as teeth shot out from the white wolf, aiming to rip off his leg. The blow came so close, that he felt saliva as it dripped from those fangs, and the steamy breath as it seethed along his foot. Snapping forward, he whirled around to face her, teeth bared, half of him consumed in the shadows, causing him to look bigger than he was. His red eyes had no pupils at all, and they gleamed in all malice as the white of his teeth reflected in the moonlight.

((You have a lot to read here - I went a little over the top! ^_^))
Tasting the tang of blood on her tongue, Nightshade licked her lips, savouring it. She had managed to catch her target, and the night could not hide the blood that ran down RayJ's shoulder. But the alpha had been marked too - just another scar to match the others that cursed her form. Lithe she might be, but she had strength. She could take the pain of this. Lowering herself a little more, she readied herself for whatever was to come next. She had two wolves to watch out for, but where the second one was, she could not tell. It was the brown that held her gaze. The once hidden fire dancing for all to see in those burning orbs that before had been as green as the depths of the forest.
Just as she had thought, RayJ leapt for another attack. The alpha had been expecting it, but this wolf had more power than appeared. As she lifted into the air, it was as though lightning aided her flight. The speed she possessed would have made Nightshade proud were she looking upon a wolf of Sallin. Trying to dodge, the she-wolf saw too late the intention of her attacker. Twisting at the last moment, RayJ struck Nightshade straight in the shoulder - matching the mark she herself had been given only moments before. Nightshade felt bitter torment as the flesh was torn deep, striking blood across her side. Then her opponent was gone again, leaving the alpha to steady herself.
Darkness consumed Nightshade. Her shoulder was numb, but she could not feel the pain for the adrenalin that pounded through her heart. It merely stung, but she knew she would feel it later. As though her eyes had been taken, she could see only the shadow. Her limbs trembled as she clawed at the earth, her tail limp behind her. But this was not RayJ's doing. Something tainted was at work here. Like the poison in her mind, Nightshade felt it seethe through her. Turning her blood to fire and her muscles to ice. Something gripped her throat, and she gagged to relieve herself from it. But no jaws held her - neither of the wolves who could have killed her were doing so here. Hollow eyes searched the ground that she could no longer see.
Clawing its way through the murky waters, a voice began to whisper. Quietly so that she could not hear it at first, but then louder until it hissed.
Behind.
It was her voice, though she had never spoken. Spinning so that she was facing the opposite way, Nightshade saw it through the mists that still clung to her cracked mind. The flash of white light, as jaws rushed to meet her in the shadows. The blue of eyes beyond the light. The Other... But before the second wolf could ever touch her, Nightshade saw something detach from the darkness that surrounded them. It was no more than a flicker of eyes and illumination cast from the shrouded moon above, but it was there. The white wolf tumbled away, the darker shadow following it all the way.
The moon seemed to lighten. It caught Nightshade's gaze and she looked up towards it. To her it was only a fading glimmer, and she blinked in an attempt to clear it. Moments passed, as she was unaware to all else that moved beyond. But slowly, surely, the moon began to glow once more. The gibbous form began to shape itself, and the alpha found herself smiling. Not the smile of one who has seen too much to known of good or kindness, but the kind of something long forgotten. Long lost.
Nightshade spun. Her jaws outstretching the moment her paws did, as she launched forwards in a sudden burst. This time she would taste blood again. She would tear hide. Aiming to hit RayJ square in the chest and bowl them both down the rocks beyond, Nightshade did not care what befell her on her flight. She would knock them both down, and send them shattering across the stone of the earth.

RayJ flew past Nightshade's shoulder, bringing along flesh and blood trapped in her fangs. Her claws extended as her paws touched the ground, so lightly, like a dance, so quiet. She turned her body to face the back of Nightshade, ready to pounce again. As she lifted a paw and started to move forward, the figure turned. Her ears pricked high as she watched Nightshade fly towards her. She snarled, when the wolf had struck her, taking her off guard. She felt her paws slip from beneath her as she started to tumble with Nightshade. She let out a silent roar of frustration, how she couldn't bring herself back up to continue the battle, to continue tearing open her flesh and tasting the silver blood of the moonlight.

As the black wolf snapped forward and barred his pearly whites, Storm just laid there. Keeping a good grip on this wolf's foot for all she had, which she had plenty of energy to use. The fact that this wolf blended within the shadows to make the illusion he's bigger, didn't impress nor scare the white wolf. She rolled her eyes when she quickly blinked and glared at Blackrage. "You don't scare me...If caribou are bigger than us and are food items, then what makes you think I'll be frightened of a bigger wolf? They're just as dangerous at times..."
As her words faded, Storm never gave up the grip around the black wolf's paw. She could easily snap it and crack the bone, or maybe even break it. And she could do this quickly without injuring herself. "Touch me, and the paw goes off..." She growled as the noise grew in her throat. Her breath on the wolf's leg was calm and light, signaling that she was fine. Not in any pain, not afriad, not stupid. Storm was a smart wolf in battle, and strong at that. If this wolf was about to attack her, she could easily bit his paw, twist it until it snaps, and if he comes for her, she could swipe at his head with her unmotioned paws.

Nightshade's world spun. After knocking her and her attacker off the rocks, there was no telling what would unfold next. She was not even so certain how long the fall would be. In the daylight, she could have seen and recognised this spot like every other formation in her territory. But not now in the nigh-pitch of night.
The air rushed through her fur and chilled her to the bone as they fell faster. Releasing the other she-wolf, Nightshade prepared herself for the hit. It would be pure luck if she hit earth before jagged stone, but she had no choice now. Her opponent was lost from vision as the ground leapt up to meet the alpha. She somehow found the time to take a breath.
The silence ended as abruptly as it had come. Smacking hard into stone, Nightshade caught a glancing blow to the same shoulder that RayJ had torn through what seemed like seconds before. Rolling herself the same instant, the she-wolf came to a stop at the bottom of the rocks. Her lungs felt tight as she drew ragged breath, sucking in the cool night air no matter how much it stung.
She lay still for a moment. Neither hearing nor comprehending what surrounded her. All she knew was that if she had landed paws-first, there was a good chance her legs would have snapped. Better this way. She could feel grass beneath her; the dew already beginning to form. Flexing her paw, she pulled it in close to her and used it to push her up into a half-sitting position. There was not a part of her that did not ache. She felt something hot under her paw, but moving it did not help. She had torn out a claw on the rocks as she rolled.
Standing to her full shakily, the alpha used her keen night-eyes to penetrate the shadows. Nothing moved. Down here the ground was clear for metres, before again plunging into the forest. In front of her, the rock formation marked the Sallin boarder. Climbing to its highest, the trees again parted, this time to reveal the moon. While darkness still held sway above, down here it was brighter. RayJ had to have landed somewhere close by. The thought of finding her broken body shattered on the stones brought a smirk to Nightshade's maw. But this was no time for wishful thinking. If the other she-wolf was still alive, she could be a threat. At least now they were both wounded.

The brown lump of fur seemed to be no where in Nightshade's view. The forest was dead-silent, and every now and then a cricket would chirp faintly, breaking the silence.
Although the wolf had lay only a few yards away, she was not visible in the darkness. Her cold, furry body lay still, as the grass covering her body waved slowly in a cool breeze. But anyone who knew RayJ would know that she could not be so easily defeated, and would continue to fight until her life came to its end. The black paw of the wolf twitched, and she dug her heel into the ground to get a good grip on the dirt. As her figure slowly rose, it was clear that she too had been bruised and battered by the fall. Some stones were wedged inside her paws, and one large stone seemed to have been impaled in her side. Her flank rose and fell heavily, as the stone had injured her far worse than any fang had done in this battle. Her head turned in Nightshade's direction - she caught her scent and let out a low growl from her throat. Her eyes had a faint glow of crimson red, as if the moon shone on them. She bared her fangs, letting them glimmer in the moonlight, and she reached down, towards the large rock in her side. She wrapped her jaws around the rock and tugged, ripping it out of her side, and holding it in her muzzle and tasting her blood as it dripped and formed a pool on the ground below. She tossed it aside, into a bush nearby, and turned her head back towards Nightshade, a look of hatred in her eyes. Did she still want to join the pack now? Either way, she wasn't going to run away from this fight.
"How dare you..." She snarled, and took a pawstep forward to keep herself from stumbling. She winced, and lifted the paw into the air slightly, now limping towards Nightshade. It was obvious she had injured her leg too in the fall. Her lips were curled back, revealing blood stained teeth, and she had a look of revenge in her gaze.

Strategy was everything.
It meant the difference between life and death. It was the thin line that was between a battle won, or a battle lost. It balanced the powers of the body and of the mind, the physical and mental creations that where called upon in a heated situation, only to be expelled to the greatest point, and yet they kept on until finally, they seeped away. Unable. Well, that was, at least, the physical. The mind could not be worn away unless another knowledgeable force acted upon it in an attempt to destroy what all had been created.
This was expected. It always had been. To be caught in one's own trap. At this point, with the sand flying around all it's combatants like the clouds around a mountain, some might have never would have thought the day would come....and yet it did. Others like himself, were prepared with every strategy that they had knowledge of. Without hesitation. Without a second thought. Muscles stiffened and relaxed, fur bounced along the skin underneath, and voice of combat rang out across the barren lands. Forms moved in time to a dance that was all together spectacular, and yet in many ways, terrifying and then, exhilarating. It was coordinated, planed out, smooth, and then it might have been although of, rough, and hard around the edges. It was something that could be expected.
Or maybe that was not so with everything that went on in life's great circle. It never seemed to go the way one might have planned, and even with the most careful steps, one still might fall. Even with knowledge beyond the years, or youth that exceeded, the threads that wove time together still might break and come apart, crumbling into the vastness of space.
Forever lost within the womb of time.
Pain shattered through those threads now, causing them to crack and bend, shuffle and move to a point that stressed them far pass the boundaries that kept them in place, all till the world fell apart. A deep growl resonated from that darkness, swallowing up every last hope that could have ever existed within them, and putting the lights out as if the were just lamps within an infernal cave of mist and doubt. But the emotion was covered, hidden under but one of thousands of masks. Underneath, it was the face of a demon, and yet on top, there was nothing to be seen. Or at least, an expression that no one could comprehend.
A roar of the mind struck through the same again, and it cracked all that was left, and nothing was left within the reaches of anyone who sook shelter from the dangers that existed within a place all but known to the beings of the light. Time unraveled itself, and any voice that came through now was lost, echoing in that vast space that seemed endless and without form as the voice faded, disappearing fully within that dark space, and only seemed to travel as far as one's muzzle before it dissolved.
Much like a corpse that had begun to rot.
Claws snapped through this haze of mystery and hopeless-ness, and it was beyond reasoning. They struck fur, and maybe even drew blood, but it was not to matter. Rage had sprang up from within those depths, angered by the current diffusions of time. There was no feeling within that dark, depths of a knowledge to great, and all was lost to a greater response. Time had sought darkness, and it was consumed by it. Even the pain that had came only moments before could no longer faze, and the threads of time had begun to repair themselves, crawling back together without emotion, and only one thought remained. An anger that came to streak out and tear through the only obstacle that stood in front of it.
A great, ebony head had whirled, just as claws had swiped through the air, his whole front brought around to take his fury upon his attacker, and now, his mortal enemy. It was a fight to the death, or maybe that even was not so, for the white she-wolf may give up and run, with only a injured pride, but it was for certain that the black behemoth would not dissipate like the threads of time.
His own clawed weapons lashed out at the ones that might come to him, just as he put his strategy into work, twisting his foot around a wheel centered in water. He was beyond pain, and felt nothing. Long ago he had been lost to this mortal world, and he still was the same. The blades of his foot flexed, attempting a stabbing motion, just as he made to thrust his foot down, straight to the back of the throat of that she-wolf, and at the same time, aiming well to dig claws in and rip the female apart from the inside.
....I sought darkness, and it consumed my soul....

((I'll reply next. Not sure if we're taking turns but heh.))
Nightshade's ears flattened against her skull at the sound of a growl, rising up from the darkness in front of her. So crouched low, ready to take or make any attack that presented itself. As she had suspected, something shifted beneath the rocks, the movement casting glazed light, sending it flickering like a blurred image in a rustic photograph. Tainted eyes were lit momentarily by the stars, and the alpha could at last see her attacker once more. Her body was beaten, but not broken as she had so hoped. Rising to stand shakily, the brown wolf regarded Nightshade for a while, before attempting to take a step towards her. Never lifting from her guarded posture, Nightshade made no effort to conceal herself in the shadows. Chances were she had already been seen, and the last thing she could think of was rushing to hide on her own land. The land that she had, and would again kill for.
RayJ's words rattled through the silence like a curse, seeping into the wind that stirred the two wolves' fur. Again she stumbled, but continued on towards the alpha, seemingly regardless of her wounds. Nightshade considered this with the calculation of a killer. Weigh the opposition, but do not underestimate them. RayJ was a strong fighter. There was no doubt of that. But for now, they were both injured. Perhaps too severely to continue the fight. Not that the alpha of Sallin would listen to such fool-minded reason. Careful not to press her searing pad too hard upon the earth, Nightshade stretched her shoulders up, shortening her back ever so slightly. Emphasising her height, this was also the best position if she needed to cover her throat in a hurry.
'How dare I?' She spat, her voice like venom in the fangs of a viper. 'Do you not know where you stand, pup? Or has the fall knocked the little reason from your already wounded mind?' Unconcerned by the reaction her goading might ensure, Nightshade stared the young she-wolf down with enough fire in her green eyes to light the entire forest of Kloteck, all the way to the sea. There were many things that she detested above all others. Being attacked within her own boarders was one of the highest. Unless things took a sharp curve very quickly, this wolf and the other above would find themselves dead before morning.
The wind picked up, bringing with it the sweet smell of night air and clean grass. The scent of pine and of river drifted to the wolves on the rocks, even if they were too occupied with each other to feel it. The purity of that moment was marred only by the blood that had already been spilt in the darkness. But as if to cleanse this and all other sins, the sky rumbled its own defiance. A silent moment passed, and the alpha of Sallin felt the first drop fall upon her cheek.
Soon, the world was delved into a cacophony by the sound of the rain, drowning all other voices that could try to take hold in the uncertainty of night. With a hiss they ebbed away into nothingness, passing between the great shadows of the trees that surrounded the boarder.
Nightshade had allowed her head to lift slightly, gazing into the unfathomable reaches, never once feeling the need to blink out the slicing water. But through the corner of her vision she always held her opponent. What could she possibly hope to achieve out of this? Was she really so naive that she and her companion thought they could simply enter and kill the alpha, expecting the rest of Sallin to fall in behind them? No. Surely they could not be that foolish. Then, why? Turning her head back to RayJ, she let her eyes follow last, snapping them back onto the young she-wolf with an intensity enough to shatter ice.
Your Move.

First to utter any sound was, of all things, the male. “Unfortunately for you, wolf, I’m a hag trained in war and assassination. You shouldn’t talk if you have nothing in strength to back up your words,” she said, calmly and evenly, the gleam in her eyes, though, did not lose their murderous intent. “And if I managed to get this far in fighting you it isn't that difficult to fight you..."she snorted. It was cruel, yes, but she wasn’t the most humane of all creatures, hence the fact she was attempting murder. Besides, RayJ would be so disappointed should she, the actually companion had seen, give some kind advise to kill her more easily.
The white wolf was taking to the original plan quite well. If RayJ couldn’t win against that alpha thing, well then her growing plans to join Sallin would be futile, but RayJ had a type of personality that Storm was sure would make her strong.
Stupid cur, only the cruddy fighters came here… he would be no hassle. It was almost written on him, the way he crouched ready to spring, but made no immediate move to help out.
Storm didn’t care how evil they were, it was no. She didn’t want to run away like a coward. She was he complete oposite, daring, strong, free willed, and the dangerous mind of a killer.
She felt her shoulder area collide with the black male's claws, and only scratched the surface of her tough skin. She lost her balance a bit as she broke away, staggering for a split second and eying him. “Before we end this, I’d like to give you a little peace of mind before we continue," she said fluently, aiming to give the dark wolf a confirmation, but make it hurt a bit. Smiling wickedly at the black male for a few seconds, she reeled back and sprang for the male’s shoulder or backside. She would immobilize the coward first, and then finish the job. She’d lost all attention to RayJ and Nightshadent; they could go chase their tails. She had one job and she would be darned if she didn’t finish it.

Hard, cold, icy rain pounded against the brown wolf's fur. Now this fight had become a matter of life or death, and she was most likely to be killed if she didn't join, if she was at all defeated. With a snort, and a slight smirk, she was going to end it. Lightning flashed, and in a quick moment, she shot out from where she was standing and disappeared. As soon as the lightning faded, she was seen balancing swiftly on a tree branch above. Lightning struck over her head, dangerously close to the tree she was in. If it struck, it was over.
And then, as if Nature itself were listening, it hit. Snaps and splitting was heard in the tree as branches and debris flew from the sky and smashed into the soft earth below. Crap! RayJ thought as the tree swayed, and then a few leaves higher up; old, dry leaves, were snapping and popping until they caught on fire. A quick look of fear flashed through her gaze before she shot off that tree and into the nearest one. The tree came crashing into the ground, where any wolf in this territory could have heard it. The bark was ablaze in red, orange and yellow flames, lapping up the sticks and stems, all along the ground too. Red flames reflected into the wolf's eyes as she shot form one tree to the next, nearly invisible to a normal wolf's eyes. Only a streak of white was left from the rain behind her.
Then, she reappeared again, this time, on a tree right behind Nightshade. She braced herself, noticing the flames lapping up the trees nearby, and probably close to the trunk of the tree she was on. Then she flexed her muscles and pounced, flying off the branch and shooting straight for the back of Nightshade. She aimed to dispatch her shoulders, and maybe even break them, if her aim was right. She began to spin, just slightly in the air, gaining power, like a drill. She came right for the back of her neck, and if she succeeded in hitting her, she just might win this battle.
