Its fur was as soft as the wind, as it blew harmlessly through the land; as white as the untouched snow on the ground. A nose of pink twitched, a fluffy tail wiggled, and long ears twitched. Nibbling upon a piece of grass, a little rabbit sat, content in doing what she was. Her eyes were crimson like the blood of a wounded one. The female rabbit payed no heed to the surroundings, because she felt safe, and the presence of another felt absent to her, as she hopped now, to find another patch of snow to hide herself.
Her tiny paws left gentle marks in the patches of snow, as she hobbled carefree along the terrain, unaware of the danger that was to come up. The pure white rabbit was an average size, well nourished, and fit. Quick was she yet her movements were not accurate. Turning was difficult for her, because the mud proved a nuisance when she tried to dash across the Arnlan land. Sighing, she stopped and began to nibble upon a dark leaf that was on the ground. Now and then she jumped about, trying to fulfill her need for food.
--
Not too far off, a rabbit of contrasting colours to the white one, was laying around lazily by his burrow. He was black in colour, with splashes of white across his chest and back. Easily noticeable in the shadows. He was fat, not very quick, and not very energetic, yet when need be, he could vanish from site with the leap of his legs. Arnlan was wet from the rain that was following, and it annoyed the black rabbit as he casually lazed about his home. He too was unaware of upcoming dangers.
Both rabbits were no where near to one another. The white was to the west and the black was to the east. They felt that the day would be like any other, it would pass quickly, and soon they would be resting in the safety of their burrows. If they could sense the wolves to come, shelter, is what they would have sought out. But they didn't, and so both were exposed to the careful eye, practically waiting to be snagged by the powerful jaws of an Arnlan wolf.

The caw of a raven seemed to irritate the female as she slinked among the shadows. Her blue pelt could not blend with the surroundings like many others of the land, yet it did not matter. If she had stealth she could go unnoticed. Blood on which once coated the female's fur was gone, she had lapped it up so the prey around her wouldn't catch wind of it. The silver bracelets that were on her legs were no longer there. She had placed them neatly by a tree inwhich she scratched her deadly talons into. It would be of use since some of the trees look alike with their gray shaded back and darker gray leaves. Akisame had switched moods from the early hunt inwhich she was abit angry, with the ones around her and herself. However the meeting with Sofika and the simple kindness of the one she yelled at seemed to make her think about her actions. It was actually a new feeling. She had never felt ashamed, guilt, or even embarassment before, but now it seemed to be standing by her side as she prowled the terrain.
I'll prove my worth.... I hope the other two will catch their rabbits for Sofika. I'll take the last one if it's around here.... She thought. After what she displayed only an hour ago there was no way she was going to repeat her mistakes, instead she was going to punish herself since the Alphess did not. She would catcht he last rabbit and most likely end up late. A sigh escaped her lips but it went unheard of as the wind brushed against her frame. Muscles pulled her along a path inwhich she smelt a rabbit. Her paws came to a stop forcing her body to do the same. Aki's neck craned to look around for the black and green male and the slate colored one. It would be unwise to bark or howl to them, that would only scare the rabbit. No instead she waited her senses figuring out exactly where the female mammel was while she waited for the other two to appear.
Egyptian markings gave a truth and false sense. Some happened to be painted on her while some were not. A tricky combination an old human tried on her. The white bandages on her hind leg seemed to tighten every day, but the she-wolf could not get rid of them. She could not rip them off for it was too tight on her leg and her claws could not reach back there. I'll have to ask someone to help me get these off later... Tail flicked impatiently but she forced herself to stay there. The assassin's breathing was soft and inaudiable. Everything was silent around her well except for the normal noises of the lands.Light violet nose sniffed the air as she took in all the scents. The rabbit was close but not close enough to sense the canine.
((Ack it's short.))

Lucian had traveled light footed for a while before he picked up the familiar scent of the azure fae. With her scent he noticed a change in the structure of it. The scent was more subtle. "she must have changed since she ate, and possibly the meeting with the mistress. Also, i could be the fact that she has now fulfilled her hunger and is hunting using logic and not force." These thoughts ran through the black and green colored male as he, for some reason felt the urge to follow her scent.
Upon his path to finding the small fur covered mammal, he had come across a damp patch of soft and leafy moss. "this should mask my scent to the most, considering it is simply leaves. the earth upon wich it grows shall help me as well" He lowered his body and managed to roll and cover himself in the earthly scent of moss and top soil. It did not completly hid his scent, but masked it sufficently, and for an alotted peroid of time he knew.He chose to stick to the darker shadows of the tree trunks and fallen ones, as his markings made him appear like the natural breaks in the shadows that came from the breif moments of sunlight passed.
He made sure to weave between the trees; and when a chance came, he lept upon a lower limb that seemed sturdy enough to support his weight. He used this tactic often, for it dazed his prosuers and confused his enemys. Not many wolved nor canines were capable of climbing trees, when he was younger Lucian was forced to learn this trait from his elder. He continued to follow the scent of the azure one, he then recalled her name. Akisame. It was an unusual name to him, then again most names were. He traveled alone most of his life and was unaccustomed to other names.
He bounded higher into a tree as he saw fit, it was possibly 10 to 15 feet above the ground. Lucian held his balance quite well and Aki soon came into his view. He then was able to pick up the small and distant scent of a rabbit. He stopped and inhaled small quantities of air as his eyes adverted from Aki to the surrounding areas. This was also an advantage of being able to climb. THe view from the limbs were more helpful than simply upon the ground; there were also many downfalls to this view as well. One could not see beyond the tree tops; it was a circumfrance that traveled the length of the branches themselves.
He glanced back at the now almost statue like Aki and pondered what she was doing. He was also debating on whether or not to alert her of his presence or to simply do his task that Mistress Sofika gave to him. From her earlier reactions and the change she made now; he felt that she was no longer a large threat, but more so confused with what she chose her path to be. With this he decided to help her on her quest as well as his own. He had been rather rude and noobie like to her in their previous encounter. He felt as if he should make it up to her, not only by offering her the rabbit in wich fed her dire need of hunger; but possibly make a friendship with this azure fae.
He glanced beside him and nipped one of the near by leaves off of its pedistal soundlessly. Being within the black and green males mouth the small leaf took on some of Lucian's scent . He waited for the random gusts of wind that came upon the lands to appear. With that the wind did as Lucian expected and he let go of the small leaf, watching it float along the wind and heading in AKi's general direction. As he watched the leaf it made a few quick turns and almost landed right before Aki's feet. He lowered his head just below a few branches and was watching her intently to see if she might be able to read his hidden message or not.

The filtered light dappled Ecclesiastes' pelt, his multicoloured optics flashing. He had caught the scent of a rabbit, not too far away. Moving along the ground, he wondered what purpose he had here. In life. Nearly everyone else had friends. But him? He was a lost cause. His mind fixed on such things, he thought about the ask that the Alpha female, Sofika, had set them.
Not too long ago, he had displayed an anger fit within the shadowed realms of the Arnlan forest, but he had eventually calmed under Sofika's watchful gaze. Now he was probably considered weak-hearted and useless. Growling softly, he chided himself. The past never helped anyone. So, Sofika wanted them to each catch a rabbit... perhaps that would be easy. And what if they all went for the same one? No doubt there would be no anger this time. Rabbits were not scarce in this land.
Suddenly catching a whiff of two familiar scents, he immediately identified them as the other two who had been involved in the hunt previously. What were their names? Akisame... and Lucian. Ecclesiastes did not want to be near them. He knew what they thought of him, and he would rather not be around for them to turn their backs to him. Even if his feelings were never shown, and rarely felt, it did not mean he did not feel internal pain. Swerving off the path, away from the direction that their scents were coming from, he rotated his ears and raised his muzzle just the slightest bit to locate the rabbit again. No doubt Lucian and Akisame would become friends. Or at least, as much as they could, while conforming to the rules of Arnlan.
His soft tail swishing softly behind him, he managed to pick up the rabbit's scent before moving towards it. He had failed others before. He would not fail this pack. Dedication and perserverance. No real purpose to life, apart from to serve. And to die. Tuning in to the layers of silence, he absorbed himself in his most common past-time activity, while keeping a check on the rabbit. The tones of silence flowing past his ears, he picked out all the colours and variations which it held. Might as well. The timber wolf concentrated far better when he listened to the sound of silence.
The hunter stalking through the deepest shadows, listener of silence and captor of thoughts.

[ Since none of you actually mentioned which rabbit you were close to, I am going to chose for you. Akisame and Lucian, you'll be on the trail of the black rabbit. Ecclesiastes, you will be on the trial of the white rabbit. k thanx. ]
Still the white rabbit remained unaware of the lingering danger by her. Watchful eyes were not yet upon her, but a nose had sensed her presence; captured her scent. Danger had come, and yet she was oblivious. Innocently, the pure white rabbit hobbled along the terrain. Luckily for her, it was firm, although the rain that fell so carefully on the land was matting the mud, turning it to a slippery muck. That was not good, because she was not exactly the best at maneuvering herself efficiently along this sort of land. White rabbit had not adapted.
Little did she realise, she was actually bouncing slowly to wards Ecclesiastes, as he observed the scene, looking for the scent in which he smelled. Her fur was wet now, and she looked frail, not average, and her bones seemed to jut from her sides; although they did not. Blinking, she peered around wearily, and then heaved a sigh from her chest. Some more she pounced, jumping right to wards the male, who would take not long to find her now. Stopping upon a patch of snow, she rested her backside down, and began to eat on blades of grass that jutted from beneath the snow on which she was upon. And so she remained there, for now.
--
Black rabbit was still by his den, and still unaware of the lying dangers ahead. Heaving himself onto his feet, because he had been laying upon his side, he sluggishly hobbled to his burrow. The jet black, with the white splashes peered into the shadows of his burrow, where his family lay sleeping. His mate had recently given birth, and now he had to go and collect some food for her; much to his demise. Smiling to himself, he turned and began to hop around the land. Here and there, little seeds from the strange vegetation was scattered, littering the forest floor. The seeds were covered in muck however, because this land was rather wet from the rain. Unlucky for him, two wolves would soon catch the sight of him, and the unhealthy beast would need to make a hasty retreat.
If he had known, if, he had known they were near to him, he would have dived into his burrow. But still, like the other rabbit, he did not know and so wandered away from the safety of his home. The wolf in the trees made much noise, even if he thought that he did not. Lucian was rustling the branches, which made the leaves rustle, and so alert the rabbit. Rocking onto his hind legs, he looked around, ears twitching, senses flaring. What was that noise? He did not know, but when it stopped, he stupidly shrugged the noise off, and continued scattering around the ground for food suitable for his female to consume. He too, was also heading straight to the danger; to Akisame and Lucian's location.

Akisame's ears picked up black and green wolf coming to her. Soon her eyes spotted him as he bounded up a tree to get a better view. That's a very risky move... She thought wondering if it was going complicate the task. However they'd suceed no matter how long it took, with two wolves working together to get one rabbit it should be easy, of course it was if the brute would work with her. If he did not, she'd have to think of a differen't way to make it work. Whether she'd have to help him against his will. The silver earring in her ear seemed to be hidden in the fur around her ear. Akisamedidn't need to use the earth to hide her scent, she had her own ways, whether it be moving with the wind or creeping through thick aroma in the forest of Arnlan.
She snapped from her thoughts as the wolf approached her. She looked around the slate male was no where to be found, but maybe he went in a different direction for a different rabbit. She quickly picked up on Lucian's signs and nodded her head. He stole my idea... She thought but brushed away, normally the she-wolf would probably laugh or give a light chuckle but she knew noise wasn't good. Her paws bgean to move once more following the scent. Soon she stopped, herself and veered to the left. Going around the rabbit would be the best action to take. She could go behind the black hare and the male could get him in the front, a perfect maneuver. The multi colored female leapt up on a fallen tree. It gave a light creak but she was out of sight of the rabbit, and thus climbed up the slanted tree with deadly silence. She stood at the top eyes scanning the forest floor, through the muck and the leaves she spotted movement.
The ex-assassin caught sight of the black rabbit. He was scavenging for food, perfect he wouldn't take notice to her, and best of all he was heading towards the green and black male. She was behind him and to the side, so if he ran back, she'd jump infront of him. A smile rolled onh her lips, assassin instincts kicking in. She was ready, the male canine would get this rabbit and she'd find another later. Carefully she eased herself down onto her stomach and out of view, but she guess this male's name was Lucian. He was still in sight of her. Giving him a glance as to tell him to make his move was all she needed to do and she did. Now it was up to him to make the first move and for her to jump in if nessicary.

((That's alright, Ecclesiastes had scented the white rabbit anyway. And Sammi... stop making me feel so sorry for the poor things. XD)) His muzzle was lowered again, his ears rotated one more time. His prey was near. Lowering his stance and softening his tread, he slowly moved forward, not making a noise and careful to avoid branches which would give away his position. Inhaling silently, he was slightly startled to find that his prey was heading towards him. Perhaps the rain masked his scent? Creeping forwards and peering through the dense, dripping foliage of Arnlan, he caught sight of a white-toned object. Keening his focus, he peered through the rain. Yes. It was the rabbit. Carefully positioning himself and shuffling around a little so that he could see into its dark eyes since it had already been facing him, he took several deep breaths. It would take the rabbit a while to turn. The wolf was only two metres away from the rabbit, which would have been an easy catch if the foliage had not been in the way. Though, the shrubbery he was currently situated behind was high and dense enough to cover him, yet low enough for him to easily leap over. It was just a matter of leaping silently, quickly and accurately. Inhaling deeply, yet still softly, his multicoloured optics flashed once, then his hind legs powered off the ground. He made no noise as he sailed through the air. He had aimed well: he was nearly right upon it...

Lucian narrowed his eyes at Akisame and nodded very slowly to tell her that he understood what she wanted to happen. At first he didn't really want to take the rabbit as his own, but he accepted the favor from the azure colored female. He slowly made his way down to the smallest part of the branch that would support his weight. He moved only about an inch every two minutes, he made sure to move slow enough and balanced enought to where the leaves and branches below were not disturbed to the point of acknowledgement.
His keen eyes were focused on the fat and plump rabbit. He slightly opened his dark maw and inhaled the scent to get a better discription of the rather obese rabbit. His ears swiveled with the wind and the trees to guess if there were any other noises that might make the rabbit dart off into another direction. He haunched on the branch and tightened his muscles to a pouncing position. He looked past the rabbit and into Akisame's eyes and awaited her mark for her to leap to the rabbit and scare it his direction as he would wait for the rather unhealthy rabbit to dart in his direction. THat's when he would leap down upon it and grasp it in his large pearly whites and claim the prize that he and Aki would have worked together for. He also was planning other scenarios that might happen if the rabbit did not do as expected, but his major foucs was now on AKisame.

White rabbit had not smelled Ecclesiastes behind the dark foliage of the forest, and was really, just a sitting duck, or rabbit. The rain had matted down his scent, which was no doubt an advantage to him. Biting on the grass, his ears flopped onto her soaked back. Although, even though he had not smelled or heard the wolf coming, she could still see him. Lucky for her eyes on the side of her head, she had been able to observe his movements as he approached her. Lucky she had not ventured beyond those bushes, or no doubt she'd be already dead. What the brute had thought to be silent movements, it was not. The faint whisper of wind his body created as he pounced over the low bush was enough to have the rabbit jumping away in terror. Her movements would appear clumsy as she slipped on the land that had quickly turned from firm to mucky. Ecclesiastes would land where she had once been sitting, and only by one second would he have missed. White rabbit bounded over the terrain as it slowly became slippery, hoping to retreat out if reach. She was hoping to retain her life. -- The stalling on both the male and female's part did not aid them to the least. The fat rabbit had heard the female crawl into what she thought to be out of sight. The male in the trees, well he had not seen him, but could feel his presence in the air. Licking his greedy lips, he hopped to the direction he had originally come from; away from the two wolves. Akisame's shelter was soon discovered by him as his eyes scanned the foliage for danger, and that was when he gulped and looked around anxiously. Like White rabbit, Black rabbit had managed to just escape the grasp of a male wolf as he attempted to catch them. Black rabbit dashed off sluggishly away, in attempt to escape the two wolves who would no doubt soon pursue him. In his mouth he held some grass, which he was going to feed his family. Being the pathetic little animal that he was, he was bounding home to where his mate was, thinking that he would be better off there. Little did he know, he was leading the wolf, or wolves, to a feast. (( Sorry guys, but no rabbit for you ;] ))

((Sorry if I'm posting out of line!))
Ecclesiastes snarled silently as he immediately regained his footing and bounded after the white figure, his long legs easily covering the slippery ground. His prey was just before him, yet it was too nimble, and the moment's hesitation that was needed to leap was too risky at this moment. Pawpads gripping the slurried ground with only a little bit of difficulty, he trained his focus upon the critter. Splodges of shadows dapples both their pelts, but it only caused the rabbit to be harder to keep an eye on.
He could not let the rabbit escape into a nearby warren. Determination gripping his body, he forgot everything but the task that their Alpha had set for them. Sofika had said they were to bring back a rabbit, and no matter how long that took, he would complete the task. Multicoloured optics flashing with inner strength, he closed in on the rabbit. There were no holes or entrances anywhere near where the rabbit could leap into for safety.
The rain pelted steadily down, but Ecclesiastes was not put off. He would get this rabbit. Even if it took a year.

((Sorry for the lateness... I've been having a really bad cold and haven't been getting much sleep.))
Akisame saw the male in position. Instantly she looked back at the rabbit ready to launch out, but not to her surprise the rabbit had sense them and even looked at her. The chase was on. They'd have to get to the rabbit before it could make it to it's burrow or some other place out of reach. Leaping from the fallen log and hitting the ground with a thud her brain already working out things. She swirled around running to the left side of the prey. Ideas and caculations entering her mind as she jumped over a few rocks and branches. Hopefully Lucian would run striaght for the rabbit while she went to cut it off.
Yes that would be great. Eyes darting to the right as her long legs stretched out in long powerful strides that covered great amounts of ground. The rabbit's slowness was also to her advantage. SLuggishly she made her way to the right while still darting ahead. Perfect. She thought knowing now she was ahead of the fat mammel. Leaping out between the trees in a ghastly blur she appeared blocking the fat hare's trail. The den inwhich he was heading to was behind her back paws. Lips curled and fangs bared.
"Your future is death."
SHe whispered her voice carrying to the rabbit's ears only. Instantly she lunged forward. She was not going to kill it. No that would be Lucian's job. If she got the rabbit she'd pin him down and then quickly as lightening she'd toss the mammel at Lucian to finish it off.

His body was ready to leap at the obese rabbit as he leaned forward and was about to. Just as his mind was set and he saw the signal from Akisame, the rabbit caught wind of the both of them, and for worse caught sight of the azure female's coat and slender body. His eyes narrowed and his lip curled in frustration as he watched it attempt to dart off.
His ears quickly picked up Akisame's thud as her slender body landed upon the mushl-like ground below the both of them. The fat rabbit wasn't moving very fast, but fast enough if they were to wait any longer he might just find his way to another area to hide and possibly be safe. He watched as Akisame started to rear to the right of the animal. He took this as his que and lept with great length across a good distance over the mucky floor and landed upon his paws. He wasn't expecting the ground to be as mucky as it was and he lost his grip on the forest floor and slid some 6 inches or so before his muscles and balance adjusted to what had happened. He growled to himself silently in his mind for letting himself miscalculate such a pitiful mistake. His now somewhat muddied body lept over small bushes, low branches, many rocks, and other obsticles as his eyes were fixated on the sluggish mammal.
His ears quickly picked up the area in wich Akisame would be. A devilish grin came across his muzzle as he bared his teeth in enjoyment for seeing that this fat creature might see its own doom soon. He kept on rushing forward, his large paws firmly gripping the ground. The low branches and wet leaves leaving small dew drops on his jet black fur, making him shimer. He could barely make out the words that Akisame spoke to the rabbit and in his mind he agreed with what she said.
He glanced around as he came upon the two creatures and noticed a large thick bush just behind the rabbit and infront of Akisame. He figured that the rabbit would soon dart back this way and hide under the thick bush, he then chose to hide behind it as he slowly positioned himself for an ambush attack upon the rabbit, as it would come to him and believe that he might be out of the azure pelted one's jaws, it would come rushing into his own. He would practically let it run into his jaws and offer its untimely death to him. Lucian then with a light smile pushed his muzzle through a weak part of the bush where the rabbit might be able to run into and hide from what he thought was his grim reaper.
