"Smell kid!" he said quietly, almost whispering, "Smell and tell me if it was him who left the old hag in that state!"
Haruko took a step forward and pointed his nose at the human, not really bothering to stay out of sight. They were supposed to distract him anyway, weren't they? Slowly, the smell of blood reached his nose. It was identical to the smell of the blood on the woman. This male was also the source of the scent he had followed here. It was him. The murderer.
"He is the one," he said darkly, furrowing his brow and lowering his head. A growl escaped his throat is he bared his teeth and pulled his ears back. This man was just like the ones who had killed his master. He would pay for his sin.
"Wolves!" he gasped out as he reached for his gun.
"MOVE KID!"
Haruko was already on it. He jumped forward toward the man. He didn't care for the gun. All he wanted was to lash out at the man's throat and make him bleed.
Kain kept to the side of the wall, his tail and head hung low. He was cloaked within the shadows, sure the human could not see him. He waited for the opportune moment, crouching down until the man noticed the larger canines. As soon as he touched the gun, the fox was up and running. Kain positioned himself in the area of shadow right next to the man. He would take the food as soon as he and the gun were further away.

As Seo sat in the darkness, staring at the grey stone wall across from her and contemplating if it would be wise to make an appearance, a commotion ensued, the humans cry of "Wolf!" echoing from the narrow corridor. Seo stood up abruptly, white tipped tail raised high and floppy ears perked in alertness. She jerked her head to rid the hanging whisps of black hair from her deep violet eyes. The Chinook craned her neck around the corner, looking into the corridor where all the action was. The two males had dissapeared--presumably in the room causing the human to make all that racket.
Seo thought for a moment. Wolves, purposely running into a room with a human, with a gun no less. It was against all principles. The only thing driving them into that state of madness had to be the food the human had in the bag, a smell that had filtered out into the farther reaches of the crypt, making her all the more hungry as she had sat there.
She didn't particularly know this human that she guarded. She had no loyalty to him. She didn't like that he reeked of the abrupt, metalliclike blood-smell. It was strange, for a human to smell that way. Though, humans stink anyway.
Her stomach rumbled more pointedly, bringing her back to the matter at paw. She doubted she would be getting decent food any time soon, it was going to be a long trek to Rakine. The prospect of sharing whatever that human had in his lunchbag with the wolves sounded like a pretty good idea. She'd just have to turn on the charms.
But there wouldn't be food for her to have if the wolves didn't make it out alive. She crept fast and soundlessly, darting through the cracked door. The wolfdog was lunging at the human, and she thought for a second that perhaps food wasn't the only thing they were after. Thoughts quickly stifled, she darted around behind as the human started brandishing his gun. She had to get him distracted. Food or no food, she wouldn't let him kill her fellow brethren. Opening her jaws wide she attempted to bite into the calf of the mans leg. It went against the principles of a "Good dog," but what had to be done, had to be done.
