"Ooooooh, very vague, very vague description, miss Blue." Troubadour said thoughtfully. He tilted his head up a bit, and stared off, gathering his memory. First, he would have to narrow down exactly who this person was that Blue wanted. Troubadour had done this before, families always wanting to know if their loved ones had been seen, couples trying to get back together, sled dogs going missing, all sort of things. Which made Troubadour the perfect wolfdog to ask. He had a head for names, events and places. But with a description of 'A black and white dog', Troubadour could think of hundreds of dogs bearing those colours. Blue would have to tell him more.
"Do you have their name? Or any kind of unusual markings or colourations? It's just I know a lot of dogs that are black and white, so you'll have to tell me more." Troubadour said carefully. He didn't want to get Blue agitated again, but he needed more information. "And where they may have been last? It's possible that news of this dog you speak of may have reached my ears by word of mouth, rather than me seeing them."

"His a great Dane with three scars on his cheek. His name is kikro." She said quickly. She looked at nightblood then at troubadour. She yawned.

NightBlood raised her muzzle to a slight angle and sniffed to show her impatience, but waited it out all the same. She would let Blue have her piece with this male and hopfully she would leave. If not, she would just carry on conversation in code if she had to.
Even so, it got very borning very quickly. She licked half of her upper lip and layed down, paws stretched out staight in front of her toward the other two. Waiting was never her strong point, but she would have to learn if this was to be her chance at finding reliable information.

"Oh, yes, I know of Kikro!" Troubadour exclaimed happily, meeting Blue's eyes again " Met him quite recently, in fact. Down by Rakine Port, last I saw him." Troubadour smiled, he had found the dog Blue referred to very recently, so if she was lucky, he probably would still be in the Rakine Port area. Troubadour also hadn't missed the speed at which Blue told him Kikro's description. Obviously, she wanted to know where he was. Troubadour wondered why. Were they friends, or enemies? It wasn't clear.
Troubadour's sensitive ears picked up a heavy sucking sound. He realised the large wolf called 'Rogue' had sniffed. He turned his head to look at her, worried. If she sneezed, they might be blown over. "Er, sorry, are you all right?" he asked cautiously. In his mind, he kept going over his memory for the name 'Rogue'. There was something about that name that didn't quite click with Troubadour.

NightBlood turned to the question rather slowly, as if she had just woken up.
"...Hmm? Oh, yes, fine. Don't mind me. I'll just wait my turn. I'd like to talk to you after you get done with Blue, if that's okay."
The words had not come to her easily, for asking permission of anything from someone apperently of the same rank as her was not her standard. She usually gave that respect to higher ranks. It seemed that Troubadour was part of no pack. However, she did not lack all manners. She would wait.

"Really! My pa is here!" Her tail whened wild. She smiled happyily. She looked at Troubadour like he had just saved her. She jumped up in happyness.

Troubadour looked at Blue in surprise. He wouldn't have guessed she and Kikro were related. Then, life was full of surprises. He smiled back at her, and laughed cheerily. "Well, I'm glad I could help. Speaking of helping, you wanted to talk to me about something?" he said, looking at Nightblood. He became very attentive, his ears cocked forwrd to listen.
((Sorry it's short, but I haven't the time right now.))

NightBlood stood up when Blue started jumping around. Red eyes landed on Troubadour as he spoke. In an attempt to lead the conversation away from Blue, she began heading slowly down the path, signaling to Troubadour to follow.
"I was wandering if you could tell me anything of the pack of Arnlan."
Amoment passed before she realized she had been just as vague as Blue had been.
"Anything that's happened there in the passed few months. Do you know of the place?"

Troubadour frowned for the first time, and began to walk with Nightblood, as she signalled to him. Arnlan. The name was known to Troubadour, and he had been a few times. Not that he thought he had been noticed. Or maybe he had, the pack was very secretive. Other things he had heard from other wolves who dared venture in that place.
"Ah, I'm afraid miss Rogue, that there isn't much to tell" Troubadour said, fairly serious now. "It's a damn mysterious place, you know. I haven't even seen their pack, although I once heard them speaking to each other from a distance. The names, Entei, Levy and Ziko are known to me. And then there is that beast. It looks like a demon, with fire all over it's body. I say it briefly once. It isn't something I'll forget." Troubadour gulped at the memory. "No ,they've been silent and withdrawn for a long time now, although if you ask me, they're preparing for an offensive attack from a pack headed by one "NightShade", and I'm sure you've heard of that name. Can't confirm that one for you though, I'll have to dig further into that story. Could just be a wild rumour, but from what I know of this NightShade, I wouldn't put it past her" Troubadour kept thinknig, trying to remember if there was anything else to tell of late.
((From what I can tell, the Arnlan pack really are expecting some kind of attack. See the thread "Time Goes By So Slowly". Could be wrong though.))

NightBlood turned both ears toward Troubadour when the word 'attack' was mentioned. Her face was frozen in mid-thought as all previous questions melted from her mind. She had been wandering about the names he had mentioned and the beast he had seen, but no longer. If this 'NightShade' possed a threat to Arnlan, what would become of her old home?
Gathering her thoughts and emotions, Night carefully layed out a barrage of questions she would have to ask the wolfdog. He had mentioned that the attack was only a rumor, but most led to some kind of truth, did they not?
"Could you tell me of NightShade's pack? What are they like? Where is the pack settled? How far from Arnlan? How many are there...?"
She cut herself short, realizing that she might seem untrustworthy for asking so many questions at once. However, she had to know how much danger Arnlan was in.

Troubadour barely noticed how suspicious the questions sounded. "Oh, you know, the Sallin pack, or whatever they call themselvs nowadays. It's led by Nightshade and the alpha male Kaine. They have about 4 strong warriors, Carter, Juuku-Jah, Greyback and Straloch, and numerous spies led by one 'Chance". Hold, on I think their may have been another warrior. Can't remember the name though. Anyway, they all hate dogs, and the Arnlan pack has taken a bit more interest in their affairs lately. They don't like the way the Sallin pack operates, or something. I think it's to do with the killing."
Troubadour took a breath, and was about to continue speaking when something clicked in his head. He looked closely at the wolf he thought was named 'Rogue'. "Hold on," he said cautiously, "You aren't from the Sallin pack, are you? Only, they'd probably hunt me down for mentioning the whole thing. Plus..." he shut his muzzle before mentioning that he was partially dog. He couldn't remember if he'd already mentioned it, but if this wolf knew, and was from Sallin, he was as good as dead.

Reina trotted down the path known as Dante's Pass. She'd wandered around long enough to know the relative locations of the various territories that laid scattered about this region. She was not too far from a Man Village, which she avoided at all costs unless she was hungry enough to chance it. There were several wolf packs around, some vicious, some secretive. She was just a young, wandering wolf, unsure of where she fit in this world. She was fairly bored. She'd not run into many other creatures in quite some time, which was in a way, a relief. But now up ahead, she heard voices, several of them, in fact. She slowed her pace, the curiosity growing. Reina was never one to be shy.
Up ahead, she saw three canines...One was very obviously wolf, a very large wolf at that, black and tan. Another, male, not much bigger than she; black, red, and white in color. This one was male and wet, and at first glance appeared nervous. The large black and tan female wolf looked bored, and then there was the female half-breed, who was not saying much at all. From the two wolves, she heard two interesting names arise: Sallin and Arnlan
Two packs she'd heard alot and not much of. Sallin was well known as vicious and murderous. Arnlan intrigued her because she did not know much about it, other than where it was. And the large black and tan seemed to know of Arnlan, and was questioning of it.
She shook out her red and tan pelt, and strode confidently up to the group. Glancing quickly about at each of them, she spoke out.
"Well, hello there, travelers. I didn't mean to evesdrop, but I couldn't help but hear you all mention the local packs around this area. If you don't mind me listening in, I'd love to hear any info on that as well."
Reina was never known as a beat around the bush type of gal. She got straight to the point in everything. And it often got her into trouble...at least she was small and fast; good at escaping danger...
