The shadows of the land did little to hide the orange creature that move about on the ground. Within the shroud of darkness crept the terror of Arnlan. A horrible creature such as this should be kept behind human bars, but there was none strong enough to hold him. Nothing could stand up to the Great Ziro. Not even the world's deadliest... mouse.
"RRRAAARRRR!!!"
There was a slight rustle in the bushes when the pup jumped from his hiding spot. The rodent, who, just a second ago, was chewing on a seed, leaped up and bolted when the first leaf twitched. Now bounds away from his attacker, he looked back to find the wolf pup still chasing him.
Ziro had been wandering about, looking for someone to talk to or something to do. Upon sighting the mouse, he had abandoned his search, feeling that it would be a good time to practice his hunting skills.
It wasn't long before the pup started to trip over his own big feet. He started slipping and sliding and eventually found the one rock in the whole forest that could make him not only fall, but do a complete front flip.
"AHH!!" he cried out as he began to slid down a steep hill on his back. It would have been fun if there had been snow on the ground. But the snow on the hill had long since melted and ran down the side, making a large slush pile at the bottom. The ground on his back brushed the fur forward and made it very uncomfortable. Even more uncomfortable was the landing. Slush did little to soften the landing, even though it was deep enough that he never really touched the ground. However, slush was not a dry landing.
Ziro jumped up out of the slush and onto the snow, shaking his fur free of the water. He sat down, glaring at the things that made him trip.
"Stupid puppy-paws," he said, smacking the snow with them.

Uin walked freely through the snow, NightBlood, the sentry, had allowed her pass and acceptance to Arnlan and as she was told by the sentry, she began to explore the land. When she first came she had barely taken notice that she had crossed the border, so she took little notice of the scenery, all because she has tired and hungry. She had, by now captured and hunted a hare which wouldn't consider itself so lucky to had crossed her path.
She lifted her head as she caught a faint yell. She perked her hearing and she was positive she had heard a yell. Quickly changing her pace to a run, she twisted and turned around the trees. Searching the ground for anything that my lead her to the owner of the voice, she found footprints, wolf footprints. Still in her stride she followed the footprints and some weird marks on the snow and ground that lead to a cliff.
Uin peered down to where the cliff ended and there was a puppy. Uin searched the area and not finding anything to do she simply yelled to the pup in a worried tone.
"Are you all right?"

"Are you all right?"
Ziro's ears perked when he heard the voice. He turned to gaze up at the top of the cliff and found that a brown she-wolf was there. He pulled his ears back and shrunk a little to the ground, embarrassed. He didn't like it when others could find fault with him. He was determined to be the best wolf in the pack.
"I'm fine," he called back up.
Suddenly his happy mood came back to him. Maybe this wolf would like to play with him. But in order to play with anybody, you had to be on the same level ground as they were on. And this ground was way too wet to play in. The orange pup jumped up and started to climb up the hill, digging his claws into the dirt and pulling himself up.

Uin watched the pup carefully. He turned his head to look at her and she felt more relieved. He was wet, but otherwise unharmed.
"I'm fine"
She nodded as she heard the pup's words. She smiled at the pup and began to think of what to do. She turned to look down again and was a little shocked by what the pup was doing, he was trying to climb back up using his claws.
"No!" she yelled a little frightened "I'll go down, don't worry"
She took a few steps back and jumped toward the steep cliff. She landed on her hind legs and began to slide down. She landed with a splash as she fell to the muddy water. She giggled to herself and turned to look at the pup, fur soaking wet.

"No!"
Ziro looked up at the wolfess, noting the fear in her voice.
"I'll go down, don't worry."
"But-!"
Before he could say anything else, the brown female jumped down and began sliding down the hill. Ziro slid down and moved behind a tree incase anything veered her off course and she began sliding toward him. He watched her as she slid and eventually she reached the bottom. Like him, she got completely wet. He ran over to check on her and was relieved to hear her giggling after such an ordeal.
"You're funny," he pointed out matter-of-factly.
After a moment of debating with himself, he found that this female was a suitable traveling partner. She looked like she had good running legs, at least- better than his, and she was obviously brave. He dropped to a play-bow in front of her and wagged his tail.
"Want to go exploring with me?!"

Uin shook herself free from most of the water. She continued laughing, that was fun, she thought to herself. She lifted her head to look for the orangey pup, moving her head from side to side, where did he go?, she quickly thought. She paused as she saw the pup in front of her and smiled to see he was well.
"You're funny" said the pup.
She chuckled and lifted her head to look at the horizon. The pup had remianed silent for some time and she turned to look at him. The pup had quickly dropped to a play-bow and begun to shake his tail excidetly. Uin grinned mischiviusly at the pup. I can play with him for a while, it's not like some harm will come out of it. She smiled at the pup.
"Want to go exploring with me?!" she heard the pup say.
She flicked her tail in thought. After a little while she nodded and said:
"I'd love too" she paused "I'll go exploring with you, but what's your name? Mine's Uin"

"I'd love too." she paused "I'll go exploring with you, but what's your name? Mine's Uin."
"I'm Ziro," he answered, raising himself up and lifting his chin proudly. It was then that a crack sounded in the distance. He opened his eyes wider and twisted an ear to hear more. When none came, he turned his head and pointed his eyes in the direction the noise had come from.
There, in the snow about ten paces away, was the mouse he had hunted earlier. At it's feet was half of the shell of a seed he held in his paws- the source of the noise. Slowly, Ziro began to crouch down, a mischievous grin reaching from ear to ear on his face. He licked his lips, glaring hungrily at the rodent. He waggled his haunches, preparing to pounce and begin his attack. At the twitch of the mouse's whisker, he bolted.
"RRRAAAARRRR!!!"

The sound of puppy play made Levy shoot up from his hiding spot, he jerked around hearing the thrashing noises that Ziro was making and woofled. His ears perking up forward cautiously, but also curiously.
He had smelled this one before, but he never really said hi...that really wasn't his thing, every time he made friends with someone...they disappeared. If he did that too long...the alphas would surely find out and punish him for it.
Sure it wasn't the most logical step in the process, but it was the only thing that Levy could conceive in his almost paranoid existence.
It was his fault all his friends disappeared.
He stood carefully and started stepping away, crestfallen but hoping that the older female and pup wouldn't notice him, it would be best that way presumably, just to keep things less complicated.

Uin chuckled as Ziro ran through the snow. With a slight jerk of her head, she searched the horizon, huh? In the distance she thought she could make the shape of a wolf, she shook her head and kept her mind on the playful pup. She leapt into the snow and followed the pup's lead. She smiled as she saw Ziro's target, a small mouth. Her long, but strong legs caught up to the pup in no time at all. She smiled, running at Ziro's side. She leapt in front of the mouse, making it easier for the pup to catch the mouse. The mouse retraced in panic and ran toward Ziro, fearing the older wolf even more than the pup.
She turned her attention away from Ziro and searched the horizon once more. She could make out the shape of a wolf she wasn't wrong, she couldn't be. Uin as curious as ever thought of suggesting the pup to go toward the other wolf, but changed her mind because she promised Ziro she would play with him.
"Ziro?" she asked, not sure of what to say now, her eyes vigilant on the horizon.

Ziro flinched when Uin leaped suddenly in front of him. He had tunnel vision on the mouse and hadn't noticed her. He did, however, manage to stay on course. He laughed when the mouse got confused and began to run towards him. Such simple animals they were...
"GOTCHA!!"
With a final pounce, he managed to capture the rodent with his front paws. He moved to lay down and peered between the gaps in his toes. There, cowering in the snow, was the mouse. Ziro smiled. His first catch in Arnlan! He looked up at Uin and grinned.
"Thanks!"
With that, he opened his paws and watched as the mouse blinked up at him. It suddenly realized it was free and bolted away. Ziro followed it with his eyes and saw it scurry under a nearby bush. It'd be safe there from hawks, but not snakes. Shaking his head, he looked back up at the brown wolfess and noticed she wasn't watching him. She suddenly looked at him and voiced his name in a question form.
"Yeah?"

"Yeah?"
Uin heard the pup ask. Her ears turned back and she shook her head slightly. Who was that wolf? She turned to look at Ziro and said:
"Ziro, do you know that wolf over there? He or she was looking at us a while ago"
Said Uin noticing that Ziro had caught the mouse and let it go. She turned her head to look at the horizon once more, the wolf seemed to try not to get itself noticed. She took a step toward the direction of the wolf and turned to look at the pup.
"Should we go to greet it?"
She asked young Ziro, since she had promised to go with the pup she didn't want for Ziro to feel left out. She turned her head again and took a few steps toward the stranger, the wind blowing on her fur.

"Ziro, do you know that wolf over there? He or she was looking at us a while ago."
The orange pup looked over at where Uin was looking previously and squinted. He couldn't see anything, but maybe that was because Uin had a higher vantage point than he did.
"Should we go to greet it?"
Ziro looked up and Uin and wagged his tail happily. He liked making new friends.
"Kay!"
With that, he bolted off in the direction she had been looking, his paws making him trip every so often. He growled when his face would hit the snow, sending ice crystals up into his nose. He sneezed, but carried on. It wasn't long before he caught the scent of a male in the immediate area. He stopped just before crashing into the darker colored male.
"Hello," he greeted enthusiastically.

Uin didn't take notice as Ziro bolted toward the wolf. She smiled and ran after the pup and chuckled silently to herself as the pup's big paws made him trip falling head first into the snow. She ran behind the pup, Ziro ran like a mad pup, not looking where he stepped, just going on forward. She filched as the pup crashed against the dark male and quickly went toward the pup, pulling him back with her jaws as delicately as she could. She let him go next to her and quickly turned to the wolf.
"Sorry for that"
She turned her gaze toward Ziro and nudged him softly.
"Are you okay?" she whispered to the orange pup.

Watching the orange pup rocket towards him, Levy just covered his face with his large paws and braced for impact. Only after hearing the pup talk did he lift a paw from his face and look up.
"Um...'ullo..." the voice was a bit of a start if you expected another pup's voice, coming from that pup-like body, but Levy's voice was that of a young male wolf, not a child's. But it was hesitant to speak. But those big blue eyes inched their way slowly from the female to the puppy with halting pace.
"Oh...no, no...no problem, things are fine. No need to apologize." Levy stood and shook himself, making it painfully obvious how small he was. He gave a shaky smile and then sat, still looking between to two other wolves, wondering what they were thinking, or for that matter...what they wanted. He was sort of confused...
