Name: Teak
Gender: Male
Species: Dog
Breed: Belgian Shepherd Tervuren X Merle Atlas Terrier
Age: 3 years
Height: 2'5
Weight: 55lbs
Pack: -
Parents: Unknown
Mate: -
Offspring: None
Personality
At first impressions, Teak comes across as being withdrawn and stand-offish. This is by no means intentional - his anti-social life has meant Teak doesn't know how to act around others. Nor does he understand what may be natural instinct to others. His hunting, for example, has much to be desired. Partially due to these reasons, Teak may seem bold on occassion, not understanding how dangerous others may be. Despite this seeming lack of common sense, he is actually rather intelligent.
Teak prefers to silently observe, partly out of a sense of curiousity. He is not quick to act. However, he is quick to emotion (particually annoyance), though hides it well.
So far Teak has demonstrated a large streak of loyalty.
Appearance
Teak's Belgian Shephard ancestory shines through in his visual apperance. His fur flows silky and straight in places, and almost fluffy in others, especially around his oversized ears, the tips of which flop over. His dark chocolate brown saddle runs down his back, merging into slate grey on his sides and belly with merle patching his legs and face. As a picture of health, Teak's would be quite stunning, and his coat would shine, but in his current state his fur hangs matt and raggedly and his ribs have started to emerge from his already leanly built body. Despite this, Teak still holds his body gracefully
His golden eyes stay half-squinted, matching his almost constant expression of seeming nonchalance. Though not a particually dominating dog, his Atlas Terrier history makes Teak hold his head high, and his tail straight up - perhaps not great body language to take around wolves.
An oversized leather collar hangs loosely around his neck, testament to his past.
History
Teak was raised from a very young age by an elderly man in Hallow Village. A quiet, sheltered life, day in and day out with his man.
Despite the number of animal residents there, Teak rarely came into contact with any other dogs, instead perfering to act as his master's shadow. He spent his (so far) short life loyally at the man's side, knowing nothing else. Understandably then, when his sickly master passed on Teak was devastated. Teak stays, still loyal, at his master's grave, lean and scraggily from a lack of food.
