*shrugs* Do whatever you want Kavs, your the leader in this crew. You have enough loyalty, that most will follow your decsion no matter what it is. It's not like I'd band everything KO from my life because you moved the board. xD

At Mr. Raindrop, I'm not convinced, as well that I'm attached to this board is it is. The new forum is hard to read, and has no character. I like it here too much, no matter if you move the threads. Moving Board: Australia Says No.

LOL Donn. XDD *hifives Australians who understand the joke* Chasers made fun of that, too, I think. Anyway, I don't really mind. The new skin is awesome, and it'd be fun, buuttt if it's too much trouble and there's too many cons compared to the pros, then I guess not. *shrugs* I don't mind either way, though. : )

DO IT. I want to start fresh ... fresh is good!
No, but really; being that the comic is taking a whole new overhaul, it'd be wise.

Its a tough decision, but as long as you have proper notice IE keeping this board up for awhile, maybe making it so people can read threads but not post on them, and provide a reason and a big, bold link on the front page "WE HAVE MOVED!!!" Or depending on how its setup- even get a re-directer when someone hits this page. But really, I think the notice that you have moved the forum if its obvious is enough. One reason for moving is the ads and cross traffic from other boards. At the same time, you might loose some advertizement for the fourm but eh. But mainly- a screenshot is worth a thousand words and I found this on a banner ad when viewing the site today: You can't control what content they put in their banner ads here. And I know that a lot of the viewers of this comic/ RP boards either don't care for this or ARE minors. Just thought I'd share it.

YES. PLEASE. WE MUST.
Then I won't have to bitch about how the page won't load anymore. Seriously. The new forum loaded in one shot and I was just like OMFGYES!
So, that's my only thing, and for me that's HUGE, because the non-page-loading thing is mainly why I can't be here, and I am serious when I say I love this place.
*sits on knees and begs* Please, please, please. TT_TT

I'm just wondering if with this move we can use it to cut the fat, so to say, and perhaps cut boards that aren't active/taking up space?
This would be a good time to clean up somethings here on Kloteck. Perhaps restart some packs, and to put some unplayed alphas back up to get the ball rolling again.
Its just a thought, but I'm not against moving.

Hmm I think we should move. I'm all for a fresh start. I don't really think it is necessary to move all of our threads over (except of course pack information ones). If this board is still here, we can just refer back to it if we want to look at our history. This way we can have the character board cleared and the inactive members cleared.

Just a note not really related to whether we move or not...hopefully nobody hates us enough to actually spend time trying to hack usD:.
All this would be Rain and I's job, so no members would have to worry about changing post counts or moving threads themselves (if this isn't what you meant by your comment, I sorries! I just wanted to clear that up if anyone thought they would have to be worrying about that). As for old threads, I wouldn't think new members would spend the time digging up any old threads even here, so I don't know if that would be a big problem.
I was hoping Raindrop and I could take care of moving everything before anyone came to the new board, so when we were ready, everyone would continue to post as they had here, only on the new board. That way, hopefully, people wouldn't get too confused with everything already in place.
It depends on how busy Rain and I were while moving. In any case, we'd move everything before members moved to the new board, so as long as you guys have this board, the wait shouldn't be a problem (unless you were really anxious to move or somethin').
Yeppers, that's what I was hoping. That way everyone could just go about their business as if nothing had really happened (obvious visual stuff aside, anywaysXD).
Members won't have to worry about moving posts, so far as Raindrop says he can move them...I'm not sure how he'd do it, though (my question is, will the posts be under the members' names who wrote the posts in the first place?)
Yeah, since I am actually talking to a publisher at the moment, I thought it would be better if the board had it's own URL rather than the Proboards one.
I don't think we have 25 active members, so I think it would be alright if everyone just came over after everything was moved. I'd still need to figure out a way to keep track of who had rejoined the new board and how many posts they had before, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem.
I'd hope not. That's almost one of the only reasons that I'm afraid to move the board, that people won't like it and will just abandon us...and that's not really something we can afford:C.
Well, we haven't actually put work into the design yet, since we weren't sure if we'd be moving, and I didn't want to waste Raindrop's time on that in case we decided to stay here. So, that's the reason the new board doesn't have much in terms of design. I'm hoping Raindrop can try and get at least one sample of a new skin up though, that way we can definitely choose whether to stay here or not based on the new board's design.
Yeah, that's why I considered moving in the first place, to weed out all the old crap and inactive members. It'd be nice to free up some names (although I added to the FAQ that you are allowed to use a name that is already taken if it is obviously inactive).
Meh, I don't think we really had the place advertised anywhere besides my DA account...we did have a thread on the BBA, but I'm pretty sure it was deleted by the staff, since I can't find it anymore when I go to look.
Yeah, you're right about that, some of the banners bug me here too. As a note though, KO isn't actually geared towards minors (i.e. probably not really anyone under 14, depending on the individual's level of maturity), but I obviously can't do anything about who sees the comic and such (and no, for anyone who just thought it, there's no sex or anything in KO, just some mild language, violent themes and things that might fly over kids' heads at times:B).
Your post actually changed my mind from "eh, let's stay here," to "we probably should move." It doesn't look like the load problem would be pinpointed or fixed anytime soon, so...yep.
Yeah, we have a problem with inactive/barely active alphas, so a move might be good to put them back up for adoption. Also would help with getting rid of some boards that are taking up space. I know I actually moved the Website board to under the SPAM area, since I got tired of people using us as a billboard and then taking off, leaving the threads to rot. I'm not sure about any of the RP boards, though. Luckeh isn't active with Circe, so I might get rid of Cedarburg and replace it with Nightblood's new pack idea, since I know she's an active player here.

I'm with whatever Kavs decides to do- though if the board is moved, I'll wait till the move is completed before posting my character info and starting RPing- it'll be a little less to worry about having to move.

Heh, I was about to let someone else RP Demon so NB could have more time with Archer..., but that really inspired me to go ahead and play him. ^^ I feel sorry for Cedarburg now...

You'd have to wait, since we wouldn't be allowing anyone to join until everything was moved and ready to go *points to her last post* . If people still want it there, I could always put Circe up for adoptionm but I don't know if Luckeh would be okay with that. It really depends on what the members want, but it needs an active alpha all the same.
