The midnight air was so cool, so crisp, so quiet. That should have been taken as the first warning to run from these lands. Curious and naive she moved on, a twig snapping under her right front paw. Gothic froze with a light gasp, her crimson ears tilted back, jaws parted slightly, dark blue gaze wide and fearful. She should have turned tail and run at that moment but, she went against her instincts slowly moving forward, she was a wolf! What did she have to fear!?
"Everything is fine Gothic.... Get a hold of yourself!"
She whispered harshly to herself, as she walked on. Who was she kidding, Gothic was a scared little puppy at the moment, anyone could smell or, see that! Finally she stopped and began to think about this some. Looking over her shoulder the way she'd come, Gothic would have sworn she saw a shadow move. Looking ahead and down her crimson banded legs toward her black paws she gulped, her crimson ears laid back and her tail curled in fear.
"Where am I....? What have I gotten myself into....?"
She whispered to herself, stepping forward once more, once she was in a spot with light she'd feel a tiny bit safer. Ah,ha! There! Gothic's dark blue eyes widened with joy as she raced toward a small clearing with a grin. The young wolf came to a halt tilting her crimson face upward, looking up at the night sky breathing a sigh of relief, she felt safe now but, just how long would that feeling last in these new lands?
