Sono slumped himself down next to an old tree. Looking out over the many graves he sighed. "If only Raifine and the pups could have had a resting place." He sighed again dropping his head down onto his paws, tears following invisible paths through his already matted fur. Closing his eyes he was overcome with memories of his mate and pups. "I miss you all too much.." he said to himself as he drifted off into a light sleep.
After a few minutes a crackling in the bushes sounded his alarm, Sono jumped to his feet, put face in the air and sniffed, nothing... It moved again. What ever was out there was moving with care, trying not to disturb the undergrowth, it knew he was there, Sono could feel eyes upon him. With his head lowered and hackles raised, he snarled "Who are you..?!".

Oh how true was this, little Job walking and exploring without mother or father, Vi or Abraham- her two brothers, both so much larger than her, so much more intelligent and cunning.. She wasn't the runt or anything, not little Job! She was third of six puppies, but India bore three stillborns and never spoke of them with her surviving children, and thus Job and Abe and Vi never knew. They were delightfully oblivious, hidden in the woods and away from the cruel, undignified world.
She moved at a hurried pace, working her way through the brush and gravesites, until her paws sounded an alarm- the cracking of a stick which alerted Sono and forced her to come to an abrupt stop. Job was tense, on edge and unready for any sort of an assault, because she thought that someone was following her. Her ears folded back and her head turned while her bright blue eyes managed to look around the area. She could only hear a voice in one direction, and it sounded as nervous as she! With a quick trot she burst out from the bushes, panting and frightened.
"Me or the person following me?" Job questioned, her usually thin eyes wide with what may be a spook chasing after her.

Sono looked down at the small dog in front of him. He relaxed a little but was on edge at the notion that someone else might be out there. He Saw that that the younger dog was scared and to be honest so was he, but only a little. sono approahed the dog 'who are you, and what are you doing out here?' He didn't sound harsh just inquisitive as to why such a small dog was wandering the graveyard at night. He smiled, hoping to reassure the canine that he was not going to harm him. But it probably looked more like a sneer. Sono was in need of company, and the sight of a young dog, barely out of being a pup, he couldn't help but feel a little protective over him. He tried to smile again, hopefully more welcoming then his last effort.

Job was stiff and frightened, and perhaps a little pale but that wasn't as visible as the other two things. After she noticed the male before her wasn't going to slaughter her senselessly, she grew calmer and less aware of her surroundings, and that alone wasn't very good for a small dog. After a moment she drew closer, her voice was hushed and her white ears pinned back against her head- they were somewhat floppy and wiggled with the slow wind.
"Oh- ah.. uhm.. J.. Job?" she stuttered and lowered her head, in case what she said was wrong, "I'm lost, I gu...guess.."
She'd sit down and keep her head lowered, so much so she was almost sniffing dirt, and mud didn't taste that great- she'd assure everyone of that. Her fluffy bob tail did indeed wiggle, but only to shoo away a bug that crept around her butt.
