Shadows lingered over the valley, only the light of the moon strong enough to break their hold, the darkness covering the land. Through this darkness, a shadow crept, one lone figure in the dark. Her white eyes glitened and shined like the many stars painted in the sky as she stumbled along.
Her ears were straight up, listening to every movement around always alert and ready incase danger struck. She knew that any second now a wolf could charge out of the black and take her on and she was detremined not to be the loser if there was to be a duel. So she continued her lonely walk.
Having no true idea where she was headed, she just went in any direction, following her noise and steering clear of any place that smelled of other wolves. She had no wanting to get into trouble, she would just pass through this place and be on her way, like usual. Yominokuni was used to life like this. Never once had she stayed in a place long. It wasn't like she didn't want one true home, it was just that none of the places that she had ever stayed at had felt that way. So her hopeless search would continue.
Then, as she walked lost in thought, a far too familar scent entered her nostrils, so strong that she flared around, her claws sifting through the soft dirt beneath her. A small growl rumbled in her throat, but as she looked into the shadows, she saw no one.
"You're growing much to tense," she murmured to herself and turned to leave, shaking off her embrassment with one shake of her fluffy tail.
However, her paws did not start back into their walk, and a small look of sadness fell over her face. She shook her head, rendering the sudden thoughts from her mind. She couldn't even think of joining. Yet, something about the scents she was smelling, something just smelled right. Maybe this place wouldn't be so bad. Sighing with dismay, she turned around agian, knowing that she'd probably curse herself for making this decision later. But still, it was worth a shot. So, her legs began to move and she sprung forward, heart light and jittery, she ran on, following her nose through the shadows....
