Thump thump, goes my heart, thump thump, goes my paws, thump thump, the rhythm beats in my head. Running nonstop, my energy slowly melting away. My pace slowed as the grass turned to soft soil. She saw her surroundings, yet didn't see them they flashed past yet they creped by.
Tala's paws tangled amount themselves and she fell forward. Sand covered her body as she lay in it not wanting to move, but in order to survive and not get picked off by the next predator she brought her front paws under her chest. She raised her chest up and slowly moved her back limbs under her rear and raised it level. Her vision was foggy, her stomached ached begging for food, and her legs were so sore from running. She raised her head to the wind and sniffed, looking for the scent of a pack, none, it was neutral land. That was one thing she didn't have to worry about.
She blinked trying to focus her vision the bright sun making it hard, she saw a large boulder not but a yard away, she blinked again to steady her vision again and saw an opening at the base of it. She moved slowly toward it walking as if she would fall over at any second. her warrior skills telling her it might belong to another, another that meant to harm her. She got to the entrance, sniffed it and found the faint scent which she couldn't identify. Stepping slowly forward she full submerged herself in the darkness of the den.
She circled around so that she faced the entrance, ready to defend herself, she plopped down. Tala looked like a rag doll as she fell to the sandy floor. The cool sand felt so good against her hot body, she crossed her front paws and laid her head down lightly down on them. Her eye lids grew heavy so she let them fall and she drifted of into sleep.
She was in a field, one that felt familiar, she looked around there was o one around she was all alone, and darkness over came her and her surroundings. Then she saw many forms running toward her, and a voice she knew spoke to her," Run! Run Tala!" she knew that voice it was Akai. She turned from the wolves that came for her and saw her beloved. Then out of no were the lead warrior was leaping toward him.
Tala's jade green eyes shot open, not wanting to see the repeat of that day. She looked out the entrance of the den and it was pitch black out. She slide silently from the den and leaped to the boulder, looking at the stars, then she saw the biggest of all the moon. She couldn't hold back what came next. Her head fell back and he let out a long, deep, sad howl.

A wolf was in the distance, trotting after a long day.Slate colored pelt being blown by the strong night winds of the sea.Paws getting sand all over them. The rope on his black and slate tail was being blown around,as he looked up,snow colored orbs peered brightly at the biggest moon he had seen in a while since he had been here. His tail wagged at such a beautifully sight.
A long, sad howl suddenly split through the air, making the gray wolf stop in the middle of taking another step, his paw hanging in the air.His tail wagged slightly, even though it was a sad howl.In answer,he through his own head back and gave out a long, deep howl.Jogging to where he first heard the howl,he saw a cave and proceeded to enter it....but then, out of the corner of his eye,saw the one who had gave the howl.

He had been picking in the sand for sometime, picking the small bugs under the surface before they could run too deep when he had happened upon a clam. He smiled in his crowish way and snatched it up, flying quite high.
The howl startled him and he dropped said clam, his meal clattering to the rock she slept under, his intention. He cawed loudly and swept down, his sharp talons clicking on the rock surface. As though he were still a chick, he swooped into pick at his meal before he throughly checked his surrondings.
He had picked only one bite from the wreckage of clam and shell when he peered up and saw the two canines and froze. He was used to stealing from these predators as a gag joke occasinally, but he preferred to not be down where they could snap at his tender avian body.

A scent wafted into the females nose, that of a male not far off. She searched the sent for old age, illness, or injury but found none. Not moving an inch she scanned her surroundings looking for any others, but saw none. She knew there was another but she didn't know where. Then a deep howl pierced the dark and met her ears. He was close, and she didn't like it, she had no clue if he meant harm to her or came in peace.
Her knowledge told her she must find him, for she didn't want to be sneaked up on. Then she saw a multi colored form move down the beach. Her perch gave her the advantage for the wolf didn't seem to notice her, he moved toward her temporary resting place and was about to enter, she tensed up standing now. And he finally look notice of her, and she was ready to attack the hair on the back of her neck stood up and her tail puffed up making her look larger.
Tala kept her fangs hidden she would show that he didn't threaten her, but she would threaten him. As she watched him she saw a movement in the sky titling her head keeping on eye on him and the other on the moonlit, cloud spotted canvas that was the night sky. A flash of black swayed back in forth in the wind and she knew that it was a pesky bird, the kind who stole our food when you're not looking.
She then turned her attention to the male, he was posing more of a threat to her than the bird. She didn't say a word she let her posture tell him. Like they say actions speak louder than words, something she lived by, speaking only when necessary and letting her actions say it all. Her darker blond 'hair' flew forward into her right eye hiding it and she didn't bother to move it, she let it rest there.

((Is this late??)) Akidu very well knew she was watching him,and by the looks of it,she seemed very suspicious of the male.He turned around completely to face her directly, watching the wolf intently. His tail wagged slightly as he said"Hello.my name's Akidu,I'm just a traveler happy to see another soul.May I ask your name...?"

Seeing that neither of them seemed to care one bit about his presence, he chrred to himself, returning to pecking at the rock, collecting his morsels of clam.
His sharp eyes never left them as he worked, his prior mistake not one he was about to repeat.
[it's disgusting how short that is.]

Tala's muscles were still very weak and she didn't hold her tensed ready to fight position, her muscles quivered and soon gave way and she fell to the hard surface of the rock. She still looked at the male speciously, as he turned his body to face her, a small snarl slipped out of the male warning him to try not to do any funny business. As she watched him she saw that the bird had left the skies and returned to pecking effortlessly at a clam. Her jade green eyes looked back at the male wondering what he would do, rouge males could be viscous and fight for no reason.
Her ears laid back on her head as the male talked to her, telling his name and asking of hers, she wasn't going to do so. He was a strange wolf, maybe one that was tracking her and if he knew her name then he would know where she came from and most likely take her back and like hell she was going to!
She stood once more on her weak and wore out legs and leaped off the right side of the rock, and looked at the male, her month remaining shut as she stood.

His ears went flat back against his head and his tail stopped wagging, she didn't seem to like his company. He sat and sighed slightly, all he had hoped for was maybe someone to talk with, well she wasen't the only one here.
Looking back at the bird he thought, well,I guess I could go talk to the bird...if it dosen't fly away first.
He walked over to the bird till he was five feet away from it,then he nelt down and started to crawl. He was crawling as to try and not scare it,he got within two foot from it and said.....
"Hello,may I talk to you a minute,that is if you don't mind...."

Halfway between snatching up the last scattered morsel of his clam, he froze, eyeing the blueish wolf out of the corner of his eye. If he started snapping, Benjamin would be gone.
At the question however he picked up his peice of clam, ate it and hopped on his thin legs to face the wolf, his intellegent face canting this way and that, feathers half fluffed. He made an odd scratchy sort of purring sound before each time he spoke, and then again afterwards.
"chrrr, What about hmm? The weather? or the overly exhausted girl? chrr."

He hopped up and down on his feet, getting enough lift to float down onto his shoulder, proceeding to hop up onto the top of his head.
"chrr, Well. Hmm. I'm afraid we wouldn't have too much in common...I eat clams and you eat.....chrr, what do you eat? chrr."

"chrr, Bah. Hard to bite a creature on your scalp. chrr." He hopped closer to the wolf's eyes and bent his head down to peer intellegently into the creature's eyes.
"Chrr. Do you nest here? Chrr."

He hopped idly on Akidu's head, turning his head this way and that, eyeing him with all the calculating intellgence of a crow. He cawed at a passing seagull and flapped his wings , the feathers brushing the wolf's ear.
"Chrr. I come for the clams. Chrr."
