Houdini snarled at Blackrage, when the alpha ripped them apart. He stood coldly and glarred at the brute for a considerable time. When the alpha turned to speak to him he lowered his head and gave her the respect she diserved.
"And as for you - your chances for acceptance just decreased considerably."
Houdini lowered his head even more and kept his gaze to the ground, "Let me say this" he growled, "I never back down from a fight, he attacked me first and I shall fight to the death if need be, never will I give the satisfaction to another wolf" he spat but didn't dare look the alpha in the eye.
"If you wish to tear each other to pieces, do so away from my lands."
Houdini cocked his head up to the brute as if daring him to walk off to fight, like he said before, he'd finish the fight if he had to.
"But hear this: it is a foolish thing to die without a cause."
"There is cause in war."
Houdini returned to staring at the alpha, his head still lower then hers to show he knew his place, "If you allow me in your pack, let it be known I will fight to the death no matter what" he said calmly, ignoring the ever growing pain in his leg. He stood, still lower then her and bowed. Houdini looked over to the brute and waited to see what he would say.

((Sorry,Nightshade...))
"ENOUGH!"....."You are both acting like a pair of foolish pups!"
Blackrage stopped but still snarled at Houdini past the alpha.
"And as for you - your chances for acceptance just decreased considerably."
Rage said nothing,he was far beyond saying sorry but he did listen to the alpha,"Yes,maam..,The words barely able to come out of his mouth.
"If you wish to tear each other to pieces, do so away from my lands."
Rage saw Houdini and snarled softly at him, that mutt was asking for it.
"But hear this: it is a foolish thing to die without a cause."
"There is cause in war."
Blackrage laughed evilly at this,"Ha!I kill without reason,do you really expect me to care?"
"But,if you want I will stop this "foolish" fighting and I will serve your every wish,my alpha."
Even if he had a cold and evil heart he could serve another and this alpha was one he very much intended on serving.

((Sorry for the delay again.))
Their responses were nothing short of expected. Nightshade knew that neither of them would be open for a full-on apology, and in truth she did not require one. Obedience was all she needed. If only a small amount. But both wolves seemed eager to join the great and powerful Sallin...something that Nightshade could not help smirking at. True, she needed more members. But if these two could not prevent themselves from tearing others apart, what good were they to her? There was no point in allowing two arrogant, blood-thirsty, murderous wolves into...
Nightshade's smirk widened. How had she not seen this before? Since the days of war, Sallin's Assassins had been few and far between, and now it seemed there could soon be a need for them once more. Perhaps, if these two were willing... The black wolf most certainly seemed to have a taste for that kind of thing. But what about the second? Did he have what it took to become a Sallin Assassin? There was only one way to find out, and Nightshade had already seen their skills in battle.
"Very well." the alpha said with frustration. She was not about to answer their statements of loyalty. It was simple. Either they possessed the skill to remain true to Sallin and lived, or they did not, and would find themselves torn to pieces sooner than they could splutter out some pathetic apology. "If you will indeed serve, then perhaps Sallin has a place for you both."
Turning her gaze from one to the other, Nightshade ran her tongue across her sharp fangs. The feeling of strength that ran through her made her eyes blaze and her claws dig into the hard, dry earth. If she had to - she was well and truly ready to take them on. "But if my pack can do something for you, surely you can each do something for my pack?" It was a question that, for once, did require an answer. She knew that both of these males could fight, and reasonably, but what other skills did they possess...and what did they want from Sallin?

"Tell me what to do and I will do it" snarled Houdini, eager to impress his new alpha and to also to prove he was Sallin material. He stood proudly, "I can hunt" he growled, "I can look after myself, injeries do not affect me" he growled and to prove his point he slammed his broken leg hard on the ground without an expression on his face but a smirky grin, deep inside the pain was immense but Houdini showed no sign and the pain felt good. It surged through him like a torrant of strengh. "Tell me the test I must pass and I will do it mercifully" he barked at his alpha and gazed at his new found rival, "And I will do it better then him" he snapped with malace.

Sorry I'm late..I went camping and when your camping there is no computers.
"Very well."
"If you will indeed serve, then perhaps Sallin has a place for you both."
"But if my pack can do something for you, surely you can each do something for my pack?"
Blackrage licked his maw before speaking,"Yes, my alpha, I will serve the pack and take whatever...challenge that you wish for me to. As you already know, I'm an assassin and I love pain and I give no mercy to my enemies if they dare attack the pack.
The black male paused, his eyes still on the Alpha, listening to Houdini's words. But that last sentence caught him.
"And I will do it better then him"
Rage saw Houdini's gaze and he snarled under his breath, never looking away from the alpha. If he had a chance to enter the pack now he would take it instead of making another quarrel with, whom he would think of as, "the arrogant mutt".

((SO sorry for being terribly slow. I've had a lot on, again.))
Nightshade smiled at the two wolves' responses, their eyes flicking from her to each other, the unmistakable fire of rivalry already sparking between them both. 'This could prove interesting.' The she-wolf's eyes glinted, but she remained silent for the time. They each had the will of a fighter in them...one, skilled and ready for battle - the other, simply a cold-blooded-killer. The alpha had need for both.
"So be it." Her voice was clear in the cold of late autumn, the wind bitter and unforgiving. It would be a hard winter. "You have proven yourselves worthy, for now." She smirked coolly, her tail flicking from one side to the other only once, so that it was left raised in dominance and pride. Had the alphess not seen the two of them fighting earlier, she may have required a little more persuasion. But each seemed worth the trouble they would no doubt bring...they had better not prove her wrong. Nightshade played with a small stone beneath her paws, her claws digging sharply into the hard earth so that they scored the ground viciously.
"Though, power in the pack is not given lightly," her forest eyes passed across them both, taking in their emotions and every spit of recognition. She quickly calculated the best way to approach this next part, and abruptly stopped moving, her head fixed so that it would seem to each as though only they held her gaze. "We have not had assassins for some time...you will be given this position on a trial basis." she turned fully to Blackrage, and the smile fell from her thin grey lips. "Warriors are respected here - you will be monitored before the final decision is made." Her deadpan voice shed no light on her true feelings...or intentions. What the dark alpha was planning was anyone's guess.
She crossed away from them both, exposing her vulnerable back to the two wolves. If they wanted to, they could most likely try to take her out in surprise. But Nightshade had confidence that they would not be so stupid. She was a diplomat in many ways...but old ways died hard, and the alpha had had to take care of herself long before she grew to power in any pack. She was utterly capable of protecting herself. "I trust that neither will disappoint."
