The sun was shining down upon Blackrage,if it was cold he didn't know it for the sun's warmth was absorbed in his pitch-black pelt. He had came to these ruthless lands looking for acceptance into their pack, and to meet the alphas, even maybe kill a few wolves along the way.He was getting a bit hungry and no problem eating his own kind, anyone he came across could tell that if he even looked at them like a meal.
He made no sound at all when he traveled, the reason being was that he was an assassin, one that only cares for himself and no-one else...not even his own pack.If he went by you,you wouldn't know it,you would have already been dead if he chose to kill you. He wanted to see the alpha already and was getting annoyed,he had already killed several stray wolves that entered here and, unfortunately, came upon him at the wrong time.
He stopped for a minute, surveying his surroundings. Then he lifted his head to the sky and howled, telling them to come and meet him.Blackrage wasn't the type to just give away his position so the brute crawled over into a small bush and flopped himself down, awaiting the coming of the alphas.... or another unsuspecting victim.

Nightshade lifted her scarred head and sniffed the air vigorously. She was busy, and another creature wanted her attention. The she-wolf snarled through her sharp fangs and pawed the earth with frustration. Surely whoever it was could wait. A further sniff told the alpha of Sallin that the source of the howl was indeed a wolf, and for the moment at least they had her interest. There was something in the way that it cried...the cry of one who knew much of death. Night had heard this all too often, but never would she turn down the call of one who could do her bidding. So with a high tail and a firm gaze, the lithe wolf trotted through the boughs like a spectre.
Whoever they were, they made little to no sound. 'Skill, perhaps?' she thought wryly to herself. Her pack was growing, and this left the alpha on edge. If this wolf was remotely too arrogant or cocky, they would get a surprise indeed, and it would not be acceptance into the pack, that was for sure.
As Night neared the clearing where the scent was strongest, she slowed to a walk, and casually strode out into the open. The rays of sunlight burst out across her pelt, bathing one part in an ethereal glow, and shadowing another in deep darkness. Without fear, the she-wolf played coy for a few moments; pacing back and forth as though to look for the intruder. But oh no, she was not fooled. Her proud head snapped to the side, and Nightshade's dead eyes pierced through the leaves and straight towards the black male.
"Either show yourself, or scurry away while you still can." Her voice was terribly fierce, and it seemed to echo across the branches that encircled the two lupine forms. Nightshade was not in the mood to play games yet, and her face was as hard and brittle as the base stone that holds up a mountain. She was growing impatient, and she did not for one second try to hide it. Barring her teeth, the alpha emitted a growl that rolled up from her lounges to her throat, and reverberated out into the still, cold air.
((Crappy post, but I have a lot to do.))

"Either show yourself, or scurry away while you still can."Blackrage snarled softly at this but,never-the-less,came out from under the brush. The male twitched his tale in an amused sort of way,who was this wolf, maybe the alpha. The male snorted,or rather that snarled softly, "If your the alpha of these lands,I wish acceptance,"he paused to watch the wolf's face," If your not,I suggest you run along unless you wish your death by an assassin."Honestly,he could care less who this was, this male cared for none but himself so why could he care for the being standing in front of him.As he watched her he laughed,an evil sound that just made the air colder,he loved death and pain so what was she going to do if he wasn't accepted, try and chase him out or something!? (( ..me post is so short))

Nightshade laughed before the black wolf did so, her eyes closing with the amusement of it all. Who did this creature think he was? He clearly did not understand where he was, let alone begin to fathom his own mortality and destruction. This was her land, not his, and Night had every right to kill this wolf where he stood. But she was not blinded by bloodlust or a cocky sense of security. The alpha knew full well what could happen if she made a mistake - the results were clear for any to see. She had had to learn most life lessons the hard way, but was all the wiser - and stronger for it.
As her own laughter subsided, Nightshade drew herself up again to her full height. She was tall, even for a Timber, and though she was lithe and agile, any creature not half-blind could see that she was muscled, and capable of ripping another apart with ease. Oh, how she would have loved to have done that to this arrogant wolf. "I am indeed the alpha of this land, and I assure you," Nightshade said with an icy, powerful voice "Death will not find me through your paws."
Tilting her proud head to the side, Nightshade exposed her throat tauntingly. She felt no threat here. But, this wolf seemed keen to service her...he wished for acceptance, and had displayed to the alpha that he was an assassin. He would be the first in Sallin, were he allowed to enter. But so far, all Night saw was an egotistical wolf whose head was too far above his shoulders. She thought of bowling him over to teach him his place, but if he had any sense, he would not contradict her authority.
And if he were not accepted, Nightshade did not have any intention of letting him walk free...at least, not with his legs still intact. A murderous wolf that was not a member of her pack simply would not do. Especially not one that held a grudge against Nightshade herself! No, she knew far better than to underestimate the enemy. She had done that once before, and had the scar to prove it. Turning her sharp emerald eyes into the intruder's, Nightshade made it clear that she was not in the mood to deal with such vain creature. He would have to show some depth, or suffer the consequences of wasting Nightshade's time.

"I am indeed the alpha of this land, and I assure you,"........"Death will not find me through your paws."
The black brute snarled softly under his breath at her words,he wanted acceptance, not a fight. But if it was forced he would make sure he laid,at least, one good lick upon the arrogant wolf that called herself the alpha. This wolf cared for no other being but himself and didn't like for others to try and out rank him, often it only got them a slow and painful death.
His large tail stiffened and his snarl escalated as she held he throat exposed and the male couldn't keep his mouth shut,Who the HELL do you think you are dealing with!?"
He forced himself to calm down," Ok..fine. Can I be accepted into the pack?"
Of course,he didn't apologize,he might have cooled down a bit but he was evil so apologizing was completely out of question for this wolf.Even so,the fur along his shoulders was still standing up straight and he was pissed so he didn't keep quiet.
"Even if you don't give me acceptance...I'll hang around anyway and there's nothing you can do to keep me out.Honestly I could care less what you do to me but killing and assassination is my game and I can get along with other members, even get along with you.

Houdini was wondering by, just planning on passing through and following the lie of the land. He had no plan, no aim in life, just sheer adventure was good enough for him. His paws padded along the dry, rough ground when he heard the snarls from other wolves. "This'll be good" he chuckled to himself as he followed the trail of the voices. Both wolves seemed wired up and aggressive, nothing Houdini wasn't used to.
He looked out from behind a thick bush and listened.
"Even if you don't give me acceptance...I'll hang around anyway and there's nothing you can do to keep me out.Honestly I could care less what you do to me but killing and assassination is my game and I can get along with other members, even get along with you. "
Houdini heard the brute say. Houdini stepped out from the bushes, "You call yourself an assassin" he laughed with a dopy smile. He wasn't the least bit affraid of either wolves, he was very athletic and also strong so whatever these wolves dished out, so could he. "I've seen pups that look stronger then you" he growled, with a hint of humour. These wolves looked ready to kill, but Houdini wasn't dumb, he could always get out of any situation.
He looked at the gaze from both of the wolves and his fur began to pickle, and just for good measures he showed his teeth as a warning not to try anything stupid...

"You call yourself an assassin"
Blackrage turned to spot another wolf, growling softly under his breath at it.Why was it here, did it want into the pack as well?Blackrage didn't care and took the wolf as a complete nuisance on first sight.
"I've seen pups that look stronger then you"
Ok,it would have been fine if the wolf hadn't said that but he did and it was probably said as an insult. The brute whirled on the other beast, snarling, teeth bared, tongue whipping in and out like long red snake.
The demon's eyes glared at Houdini,"Unless you can back up a statement like that and if you don't want death to come to you right now,I suggest you watch your mouth you filthy little in-breed mutt!!"

Houdini growled, "Don't call me a filthy little in-breed mutt" he took a step forward, "Who do you think you are?" he snapped, "I've travelled far and wide and never have I met a wolf such as you". Houdini sat down, he noticed the female, "Who are you?" he growled and kept a watchful eye on both of them.

"Don't call me a filthy little in-breed mutt"
Blackrage also took a step forward, eager to rip the arrogant dog apart,"I'll call you what I want to call you so you had best shut that trap of yours!"
"Who do you think you are?"
"Who do I think I am?I'm a wolf that's about to end your life!"
"I've traveled far and wide and never have I met a wolf such as you."
Rage gripped the the black brute and he lost no time in leaping at Houdini, maw open, eyes flashing like fire, teeth ready to rip apart the wolf's throat even if it was sitting now.

Houdini side stepped the attack, "Gotta be quicker then that" he laughed and watched the wolf with his golden gaze, "You think you can kill me?" he growled, "Do you think I'm just going to sit back and let you end my life?" he laughed, "You call yourself an assassin, but I don't think you got the guts to take me out, your all bark no teeth" he snarled. His fur began to prickle, his ears lay back and he bared his teeth with ferocity. "Now let me show you how it's done" he snarled and lept at the brute, his eyes flashing with malice as he opened his jaws and aimed for the brutes chest.

((Nightshade....have you forgotten us??))
"Gotta be quicker then that"......."You think you can kill me?"......"Do you think I'm just going to sit back and let you end my life?"...."You call yourself an assassin, but I don't think you got the guts to take me out, your all bark no teeth"
You really do have a death wish, don't you?",Blackrage hissed as the wolf leaped at him.The male ducked under the attack and came back with rage filling his voice, and since Houdini was over him,the beast's throat was exposed to teeth that shot straight up,aiming to rip open the vein that gave life.

Houdini struggled to get a better hold on the brute, he covered his neck with his paws which the brute snaped at, "Better then the neck" thought Houdini as he in turn manuvered himself to get a good aim at the brutes jugular. A snapping sound indicated that one of Houdini's forelegs had broken, he let out a yelp but kept aiming for the jugular. "You're ganna pay for that" snapped Houdini and went in for the attack..

Blackrage continued to snarl angrily as he dug his teeth farther into the wolf's leg, relishing the snap as it broke, freed blood gushing into his mouth, driving him into the killing mode.
"You're ganna pay for that"
Blackrage paid no heed to the wolf's cries.Moving forward and still gripping the leg in his mouth he felt teeth cut his shoulder, blood still crazing him.He took almost no notice at the pain, after all,he loved pain and suffering. He lunged straight ahead with Houdini's leg still in his mouth, then the brute turned suddenly, jerking the already broken and blood covered leg with him and aiming his own foot to kick the mutt in the face.

Houdini yelped as the leg was ripped away from him and a foot contacted with his jaw. Houdini struggled to get his bloody leg free and attacked at the brutes face, his eyes only saw hatered towards the male as he went to kick him in the stomach. Once his broken leg was free Houdini had a better chance to attack him. Blood ran from his mouth and he couldn't stand on his leg but Houdini wasn't about to give up. The ache in his bad leg now just a numbing sensation and he attacked the brutes hind leg as a payback.

((Blackrage, there was some god-modding in there. Both of you watch yourselves. Sorry for the late reply.))
"ENOUGH!" cried an icy and almost forgotten voice. Nightshade was breathing heavily, her tail raised in the dominant fashion she always held. What in hell did these two think they were doing? Taking a pace to stand between the two fighting canines, the alpha barred her yellowed fangs and emitted a low, threatening growl. "You are both acting like a pair of foolish pups!" Of course the she-wolf knew that she would most likely enrage them both further, but if they could not settle this fight appropriately, she would take matters into her own paws.
Turning upon the intruding wolf first, Nightshade brought herself closer to his face - too close perhaps. But it was not a slip. Everything the alpha did was done for a reason. "You have a nerve indeed - racing in here to shed blood on my land." she spat coldly; hackles raised, eyes slit. "And you are standing before the ruler of Sallin." Pacing her attention away as easily as it had come, the she-wolf turned with a whip of her tail to face the second brute. But even though the two had been...acquainted before, none of the fire was lost from Nightshade's gaze in transition.
"And as for you - your chances for acceptance just decreased considerably." Moving back to where she had stood during the fight, Nightshade turned and let her eyes fall on both of the wolves - and theirs onto her. She should kill them both where they stood, and a moment before she would have loved nothing less. But Sallin needed warriors...assassins...and these two seemed to want to make names for themselves. "If you wish to tear each other to pieces, do so away from my lands." For an instant it seemed as though Nightshade would simply leave it at that, but she had more to say.
"But hear this: it is a foolish thing to die without a cause." There was a glint in her gaze as the malevolent tone returned to her sharp tongue, and with an intake of breath, Nightshade drew herself up to her full height once more, allowing the two wolves to see for the first time - just how able she was to take care of herself, and her pack. "There is cause in war." The she-wolf's statement seemed to reverberate across the boughs, and even the wind dropped to hear it - to listen. A smirk grew across the proud visage, and the land waited to see what the revelation would bring. 'Darkness and Death...' Nightshade thought cunningly.
