Roxy looked down on the port below her, "Humans" she spat with malice. "And dogs serving them" she growled, not liking the fact that there were dogs helping and serving humans. She stumbled down the hill and kept to the shadows, "One good thing about humans is that they leave food everywhere" she smiled. Roxy often talked to herself, there was no-one to hear her and she hated the feeling of lonelyness. A large man walked past with a large create in his hands. She took the oppotunity and ran onto the deck in search of food.
She weaved in and out of the creates that were stacked onto the port being unloaded by humans. Roxy began to smell each of the creates to see if there was anything good too eat in them. She stopped at one of the creates and nosed at the lid. It took some effort but finally the lid was open just enough for her to squeeze into. The smell of fish filled her nostrils, "Ahh" she sighed and began to rip into the fish. She had performed this trick a thousand times and never been caught. "Humans are so dumb" she chuckled to herself.

'Dumb you say?' Sassa sat upon a crate near the nosy canine, unknown to her. 'Why would you say that?' she spoke with a sarcastic tone as she leaped down off the crate and walked towards the feasting dog. Sniffing the crate in which the dog was picking from she realised she had not eaten today either. Shoving her black muzzle into the crate she grabbed a large fish and also started to feast. ' Who are you anyway?' she mumbled with a mouthful of fish.
' Names Sassa By the way I just strolled in from Scatterstone.' The Alsatian took another mouthful of fish. She sat down on the deck and licked her muzzle clean. 'Now that was satisfying' she smiled welcoming at the unknown dog. 'Can you talk?' Sassa questioned mockingly. Her blue eyes glistened with amusement, waiting for a reply.

Roxy pricked her ears to the sound of the voice, "Dumb because they are oblivious to me stealing their fish all the time" she laughed. She sat down and tilted her head at Sassa, "I'm Roxy" she replied, "I live in the forest that backs onto this harbour" she said, "I stay around here because food is so easy to get, the only problem with the place is that it's crawling with humans" she spat the word 'humans' with pure hate. "They're used to me around here but they never try to pat me, not with these beauty's" she laughed exposing her sharp teeth. "So, what brings you here?" Roxy asked with a large grin on her face.

'They are oblivious aren't they.' she laughed as she watched the people go along with their daily business, completely unaware of the fact that two sneaky dogs were stealing their late night fishing efforts. Sassa grinned at Roxy showing her powerful canines. Roxy seemed friendly enough, apart from her genuine distaste in the human kind she seemed like a future friend and ally.
Sassa shoved her black nose towards the crate of fish. 'That is why I’m here.' she said with a lick of her lips. 'Free take away!' she laughed. Sassa stood up and shook her black and tan coat. 'So whats the forest behind this place like?' she asked. Not having left the view of the Baltic Sea, she was rather eager to explore other places that didn't have the strong scent of salt embedded in everything.
Sassa stretched out her front legs and yawned and then snapped her muzzle shut. She smiled another dazzling smile at Roxy. As if eager to get moving. She is a rather energetic dog, and did not like the feeling of staying still too long. 'Wanna come for a run?' she asked turning her back, tail held high wagging enthusiastically. Sassa turned her head towards Roxy and smirked. 'That is if you think you can keep up.'

Roxy laughed and bolted after Sassa, she easily caught up with her and gave a large grin, "The forest is great" remarked Roxy remembering Sassa's question, "Bit lonely sometimes and you gotta be aware of the other animals in there, I've had a few close calls" she said. She ran in silence for a bit before remarking, "Ok, lets see how well you can keep up with me" she barked happily and sprinted off into the forest, "This is my element" she chuckled, "You best keep up" and with that Roxy disappeared into the darkness of the looming trees above.

Damn that dog can run! Sassa thought to herself as she loped after Roxy. The dry leaves and twigs crackled under her weight as she bounded after her new friend. I guess I could call her that, a friend. The word sounded so alien to Sassa. Friend. Sassa was soon snapped out of her thoughts as she saw the blur of Roxy's fur ahead of her. 'There you are!' Sassa spoke through large intakes of breath. With her target now in sight, Sassa let go with a sudden burst of speed. She ran full-pelt after her quarry.
As the trees began to thin Sassa slowed. Roxy was gone again, But where? She put her nose to the wind and started to smell for Roxy's scent. With no luck she threw her self into stalking mode. She put her nose to the ground and searched for Roxy that way. She found it quickly. Following the scent trail, she soon stumbled around slightly confused, as the scent was not all that clear. But it was Roxy’s scent. She walked onwards trying, with some difficulty to pinpoint where the smell led. Sassa soon came across a clearing. A lone figure standing in the centre. 'Roxy?' Sassa asked timidly. 'Are you O.K?' She asked again taking a step forward. The scent trail led Sassa here, So therefore it must be Roxy, and her nose has never fooled her before. But something was not quite right.

Roxy turned to Sassa, "Ow ya found me" she chuckled and went to walked back to her friend. She took a step then froze, the air had changed, suddenly instead of cool and breezy it felt cold and rigid. Sassa was still a fair way away and Roxy felt as if Sassa had felt the change too. Out of the corner of Roxy's eye she caught sight of the long grass to the edge of the clearing move. It was a kind of movement were you could tell it wasn't the wind, like it was an artificial sway. Roxy got low to the ground but had a feeling that this creature already knew she was there. Her fur began to prickle as she began to stalk over to the long grass, a low warning growl emitted from deep inside.
A loud snarl came from the grass but Roxy still proceded. It was in her blood to stalk down animals and herd them so everything she was doing was natural to her. "Who's there?" she growled, having a feeling that this animal was bad news. Roxy could no longer see Sassa, she just hoped that she wasn't in any trouble. It would be her fault if anything happened to Sassa and Roxy couldn't live with that.
The large black beast pounced from the grass and caught Roxy off guard. Roxy gave a short yelp and turned to run, the beast hot on her trails as Roxy fled over the clearing tring to lead the, what looked to be wolf away from her new found friend. Wolves weren't common in these areas and Roxy was completely caught off guard, knowing this wolf could rip her apart Roxy hoped she could out run the beast for she knew she would surely loose if she got in a fight with the ferocious looking animal.

When the wolf pounced on Roxy, Sassa leaped out into the open. She ran after the wolf that seemed to be closing in on Roxy. Sassa had never fought a wolf before, and did not completely understand the dangers of what her plan might hold. She sped faster and faster gaining ground quickly after Roxy and her foe.
As the space between Sassa and the wolf closed, she leapt forward, but instead of landing on the wolf's back she fell short, but her front legs shot out knocking the savage, black canine off it's feet. Sassa jumped to her feet and lowered her head, her gleaming fangs baring at the wolf, as it stood. It was taller then Sassa but not by much. Both dog and wolf glared at each other. This was not like hunting a deer. Sassa thought to herself. This creature can fight back. And it will. With her hackles raised Sassa began pacing around the wolf looking for a weakness. But whether she'd find one was unknown.

Roxy skidded to a hault when the beast fell the the ground. She quickly turned round to see the wolf staring at Sassa. Out of breath, but not out of hope Roxy lept at the wolf when it was occupied with Sassa, she didn't really know what to attack so she tried to imagine the wolf as a deer. She grabbed the wolf by the neck and sunk her fangs into it. Unfortunately her teeth were alot smaller then the wolf's and it hardly broke the flesh. She was in a very vonerable situation, now standing over the wolf's back. As Roxy's teeth sank further and further in the wolf retaliated by easily throwing her off with a quick swipe of its paw.
Roxy lept back, the paw just missing her but it was enough to get her off him. She bared her teeth and snarled at the wolf. The wolf stood and kept a watchful eye on both Sassa and Roxy. When the wolf turned to look at Sassa Roxy quickly ran in and nipped at the wolf's hind leg; just like she would of with a sheep on a farm. Slowly agrovating the wolf so it would leave. She repeated the action every time the wolf looked at Sassa and soon it learned to keep more of an eye on Roxy then the other dog.

Sassa kept her blue eyes on the black wolf and Roxy. Her friend was clever and quick, a good combination.
Sassa kept her head lowered, hackles raised, and teeth bared. This brute was not going to leave them alone. She had to get this Wolf to understand that the two dogs were not going to turn tail with out a fight.
Taking a few careful steps forward, trying not to get the wolf’s attention onto her, she searched for an opening. She slowly sidestepped working her way to the wolf's back. There it was! An unprotected area she could get her teeth into.
Hoping Roxy could keep its attention off of her, Sassa leapt onto the wolf. Being bigger then the kelpie her fangs were also longer. She took hold of the back of the wolf's neck. Blood oozed into her mouth.
Harder and harder she closed her massive jaws. The yelping wolf underneath her was trying desperately to get Sassa off. But it won’t work. Scratching at the wolf with her front paws, back legs helping her keep her balance, Sassa stayed where she was, jaws locked, and blood seeping into her mouth.

Roxy watched as her friend attacked the wolf, the german shepherd had bigger and stronger jaws, making the bite that much more deadlier (sp?). The wolf wasn't out of tricks though, Roxy could see that it was building itself up for a power surge. Before Roxy had time to warn Sassa the black wolf reared with all its might and rolled itself so Sassa was on the ground and the wolf's emense weight crushing her underneath.
With the wolfs soft stomach exposed Roxy lept with her jaw open and ready to make contact with the wolfs unprotected underside. With Roxy's force it pushed the wolf off Sassa so not as much weight was on her and she sunk her teeth into the flesh. Her teeth were undiniably smaller then Sassa's but for this part of the wolf size didn't matter, only strengh and Roxys jaws were very powerful.
The wolf gave a yelp, but Roxy kept biting. She looked over to see if she could see Sassa, "You ok" she mumbled through a mouthful of flesh. Before Roxy heard a reply the wolf shot off, ripping the flesh from her. With its tail between its legs the wolf ran back into the long grass, "We showed him" laughed Roxy and looked down to see Sassa, "You alright?" she asked with a concerned look.

Sassa still lay on the ground. The wolf had knocked the wind out of her, but other then that and a few other scratches she was ok. She panted heavily trying to get air back to her lungs. It took a few minutes but Sassa was soon on her feet again. She looked at her friend, eyes sparkling with joy. 'Now that was fun!' she joked. 'i'll be fine' she told Roxy, seeing her friends look of concern.
She playfully licked Roxy's muzzle ' Are you ok?' she asked, 'you took a mighty big risk' Sassa looked at her friend. circling her a few times to make sure there was nothing life threatning. She looked back at Roxy and grinned, 'there doesnt seem to be anything wrong. But do you feel alright?' Sassa knew she wasnt a doctor, and just incase there was some internal injuries she had to ask.
Looking at Roxy, Sassa smiled. A guide, a good fighter, an ally and a companion. Sassa hoped the friendship between them will last. She really liked Roxy. She was an interesting canine, and a hell of a lot of fun.

Roxy smiled as her friend appeared to be ok. Roxy sat down on the dry earthy ground, panting from the exhileration of the fight with the wolf.
'Now that was fun!' she heard Sassa say.
Roxy looked at her friend with big surprised eyes, "Fun, for sure but I hope I never incounter a wolf like that again" she breathed and stared into the direction it fled, "That wolf was tough" she said with thought, then turned to her friend, "We make a good team" she smiled and stood, her flanks took a beating by the wolf's powerful hindlegs and large scratches lay beneath her short sturdy fur. Sassa checked her out for good measures and Roxy didn't feel it was neccesary to mention the cuts, they would heal over time.
The sun was beginning to set as the afternoon wore on, "Well I've had enough excitement to last a life time" joked Roxy with a twinkle in her eyes, "How bout we go back to my place, its close to Rakine Port" she smiled and walked back the way they came, "You coming?" she asked and continued to the verge of the clearing.
Roxy smiled, she was glad for the company, she had been alone so often and Sassa seemed like the perfect friend.
