"Yep." Pippin answered, but his mind was somewhere else. His eyes darted from one underwater rock to another, looking for the familiar shape of the crabs' shells and maybe claws. Once or twice, his mind wandered too far and his half-of-a-tail would dip into the water.
One time, however, it stayed in the water a little too long.
Pippin suddenly yelped, half in pain, half in surprise. His entire body tensed and his sopping wet tail flew out of the water. His hind end came up so fast you'd swear he had sat on a pinecone.
It took him a few moments to calm down. When he did, he chanced a glance back at his tail. Hanging by a few (tender) hairs, was a rather large red crab. Pippin's eyes widened in shock.
"Well, that's one way to catch a crab." He said, still staring at the crustatian.

"Uh, that looks a little painful for me." she laughed and sat back on the rocks, this time keeping her tail up and out of the water. She stirred her paw in the water. She yelped and flung something red out of the water. It flew past Pippin's head and landed on the sand of the beach. She ran after it.
The red crab gurggled trying to turn back on it's stomach. Page stood over the crab. She swiped her tongue over her chops. She could swear the crab's eyes blew up with shock. Page brought her teeth down on the crab's stomach. It pinched her whisker, she groaned, but chomped down and the crab died a second later.
She flipped over the limp body of the crab. She layed down and ripped off one of the back legs and took her claw and sliced down the shell opened it and ate the sweet, tender, red and white crab meat. She did the smae to each of the legs and the two claws. "That's how you open a crab." she chuckled as she put the claw in a pile.

Pippin watched, eyes wide, as Page wolfed down the crab. He soon dislodged his own crab and ate it, keeping himself well away from the water.
"Wanna catch some more or do you want to go for a walk or something? I'm game for anything." He grinned and dug a hole. He buried the remains of his lunch in the sand, then looked at Page eagerly.

Page dug a hole also and scooted the remains of the crab, which was only the body. She pawed the sand back in the hole. She looked up at Pippin. "We could go for a walk." she said her eyes glistening under the glare of the sun, but the wind made it feel good, blowing the salty air and spray on her nose and body. She walked up to Pippin and shook her pelt a bit and looked down at her paws, looking at the sand as it got between her toes. She looked out toward the town by coast. She smiled a bit.

Pippin started to walk, making sure that Page was right beside him when he did.
"So" He asked tentatively, not sure if the subject he was about to bring up was a tender one or not. "Do you have any family? I have a sister that I haven't seen in a long time. She's the only family member of mine that is actually still alive. Unless you want to count my best friend, Sloan. He's kind of like a brother to me."

"I have a sister, but she is away for a bit." Page said and walked beside him. "My father died along with my mother. We have a step-mom, but god knows where she is. I say she's six feet under." she explained as they walked along the beach. She looked down as the water touched their paws, feeling good on the hot sand under her paws.
"Where do you live?" she asked. She knew a wolf wouldn't probably have a home, did that mean he didn't have a home in the town or did he have a home somewhere else?

Pip chuckled slightly. "Wherever I choose to stop for the night. I love to wander, explore and all kinds of neat stuff like that. I'm actually thinking about joining Synl. And I always steer clear of Sallin. I was almost killed when I was first a wanderer in the Dying Forest because I got a little too close to their border. Scary stuff." He lauged again and winked at Page.

"Synl." Page echoed. "I've heard of that pack. I'm not sure I'm quality for a pack. Maybe my sister, since she's pure wolf. I couldn't see myself in a pack like that, maybe, I don't know. I never put much thought into something like that." she explained and sat down. It was weird that her "sister" was pure-blood wolf, and she was mutt. She sighed and looked down at her paws. How would a wolf pack want a mutt in their pack. She sighed and her tail flicked.
For the first time she was with Pippin, she felt remorse and saddness. She hung her head, her ears flopped over her face. She brightened up, nto wanting Pip to worry about her. She whipped her head up with a smile. "I'm sorry I was like that" she apologized, her tail wagged a bit.

Pippin felt as if someone had punched him in the gut when he saw sadness come over Page. She soon brought her head up and smiled, but Pip saw through the mask. "Hey. I'm sorry. But you know-" he hesitated "-they're a dog pack. They would probably accept you if you wanted to join. Seriously." He paused again. "I'm sorry if I made you feel bad."

"Oh, it wasn't you. She said with a grin. I maul it over." she said brightly. Her began to wag. She looked up, the sun was just ready to set. "Wow, where'd the day go?" she asked, standing up, changing the subject. Her fur blew in the cool wind that was coming up from the water. She shivered a bit and looked around. Some of the side stores were beginning to close. The humans began to disappear also. "Hmm," she said thoughtfully and scratched her head.

"We need to find a place to sleep tonight. Someplace nice and cool. And safe, just in case." Pippin said with a yawn. He meandered towards a nearby formation of rocks. Upon venturing inside, he found little bits of dried seaweed scattered about on the ground. Taking his paw, he scooted them into two different little piles for them to sleep on.
He went back to the mouth of his temporary home to see if Page would follow or not.

Page followed. She stopped in front of the "cave" entrance. She looked around. She began to think, going through a mental map. She ahd stayed in an old cabin before, she tried to remember where it was. "I might know a place that is better than ground." she said and closed her eyes, still going through the mental map. It near the edge of the town by the Beach. "I think I might know where to find this old abandoned cabin." she added. Ooc:// Sorry, I've been busy

Pip's ears perked up. "An old abandoned cabin, eh? I like those kinds of places. Very interesting smells to them." He laughed, and then followed her. He felt a sort of attraction towards her as he watched her trot along in front of him. She was sweet. A lot nicer than a lot of other females that he had met.

Piage chuckled. She smiled at him as she lead him to the outskirts of the city of Scatterstone Beach. She looked around, keeping her nose up and mouth open. She sniffed and trotted to the east and into a patch of pine forest. She stopped, after trotting for about five to ten minutes. They were in front of an old cabin, still in good shape; except for a smashed front window. She walked forward and pushed the door open. It went easy and squeaked on it's hinges. It opened to a fairly large living room. White sheets were spread over the furniture, the tables had four layers of dust on them, but dogs don't need tables to eat.
Paige walked in. Her paw pushed up another layer of dust on the ground. Mice squeaked, seeing the two and fled to their holes in the walls. Spiders scittered up their wed lines and stayed in their corners. "It doesn't look nice, but it's dry and coozie." she said and sweeped off a layer of dust on the ground and sat.

Pippin entered the cabin, shutting the door behind him with a push of his foot. He trotted over to the couch and jumped upon it, sending up a layer of dust. Several particles got into his nostrils and he let out a series of sneezes. Embarassed, he chuckled. "How did you find this place?" He asked as his eyes wandered over every surface the cabin had to offer.
