"Might you be the alphess of this pack in these lands miss?"
Kal replied calmly and smooth with a sensitive smile upon his face. His ears twitched some as he was continuously keeping check of the other in the bushes. He looked somewhat blankly at Kahvie, having lost sight in one eye; he needed to hoan in on his other senses.
He lowered his head and got to his stomach and rolled over, showing his pure white underside to the alphess.
"i am no threat to you, i'm simply passing through when this cute one spoke out to me"
He rolled back over onto his stomach but remained on the cold ground as he smiled to Kota warmly.

Kross's ears immediately came forward when Kahvie spoke. The authority in the other female's voice suggested she was the Alphess that Kross had been waiting for, so she immediately stood up and trotted down to meet her. As she came to stand in front of the Alphess she realized that she was two inches taller than her, and that her eye level was above hers. Lowering her head slightly she dropped her gaze to below the Alphess's, a sign of respect.
"Greetings, I assume that you are the Alphess. My name is Kross, and I come seeking acceptance and possibly rank in your pack. Ask anything of me, for I am a warrior and I am here to serve."
A gentle breeze blew through her coat and ruffled the red scarf tied around her black ears, which were pricked forward. Her cross necklace sparkled with its rubies against her glossy white coat and her black legs and underbelly were groomed. It was clear to anyone that Kross was a well-fed, fit and honorable creature. She held her pose of respect, although it was not one of groveling, until the Alphess spoke.

Three canines now surrounding her, the mutt couldn't help but feel somewhat intimidated. She smelled the scent of wolf on at least two of them, and while they were all in a state of submission, they were still larger. But then again, it was hardly size that mattered.
Shifting herself to sit on the damp ground, Kahvie motioned for the three to raise themselves from their groveling positions. While the alpha always expected some respect, she didn't feel very comfortable herself when others threw their faces in the dirt for her.
She turned to the Siberian whom had introduced herself as Dakota first. Taking note of the dog's leather collar, she openly stated, "I see you have once been owned by a human, am I right?" Bringing up a cream paw as she spoke, Kahvie swatted at the torn rope. "Must have been an aweful experience, judging from your appearance."
The male was next. "Indeed, I do run the place. Just who might you be...you've yet to tell me your name, visitor or not."
"And you, Kross, was it? We do have need for some warriors. However, we require that you prove yourself in a test, if you don't mind..."

Dakota watched as the other fae finally came out of hiding, quickly Dakota studied her noting that it is possible that she could be a threat. Turning her attention back to Kahvie as she was spoken to. The rope swung on her neck as it was swatted.
"Yes, ma'am I had a human once, and it did take a turn for the worst."
When Dakota finished she lowered her head and looked at the ground, thinking of course, about Emily. This churned her stomach making it roar with hunger and sorrow again.
Dakota listened to everything Kahvie had to say, without looking up. She noticed that Kahvie seemed to be rather kind, yet strong enough emotionally to take care for herself, Dakota admired this, it was a trait she wished to have, as much as she tried, she could not help to be the way she was.

Kross bowed her head and sat down as the Alphess did. She had not expected to be handed a rank without some type of test, in fact, she was already awaiting the announcement.
"M'lady, I would be pleased to take whatever test you have to offer. I wonder though, do you have a beta female as of yet?" Kross was very frank with her intentions, and she thought it would also be best to state her breeding. "As you might have smelled by now, I have wolf blood in me. My father, whom I have never known, was a German Shepard/ Husky mix, while my mother was a Grey wolf. I traveled with humans for a short time," here she jestured to her necklace and scarf, "but I did not follow when they went into the larger packland of the other human packs. Instead I heard from the other gypsy dogs about this place, and came in search of it."
Kross's crimson eyes, were kind, even friendly. She was a good-natured fae, and not all that hard to get along with, if you knew to avoid what vexed her.

Kal stood up shaking his fur off from the dust he picked up while rollling around. He grinned a toothy grin to her with an ear perked kahvie's way.
"Name's Kalsyfer, or Kal if you will"
He stood firmly to his own yet in a polite respectful manner.
"i was just passing by, im not really part of anything, and nor shall i be to my bad luck."
He said with a calm yet cheerful voice. He glanced over and saw Kota with a far less deminor upon her face and his ears lowered some. He hated seeing others depressed or down, it brought his spirits down as well.
"actually,"
He looked back at the smaller Alphess. And looked Kross over, he had never seen such a beautiful snow white upon a canine before.
"im on a quest to find my father..."
He stopped and blinked looking down at the semi frozen grounds. His expression went somewhat distant for he thought of that dreadful night that he watched his mother's blood fly.He lightly whimpered as he was lost in memories and forgot that there were others around.

Taking everything in from the three individuals, Kahvie shook her head, sending the messy brown fur around her head flying back and forth.
"Dakota, I assure you that we have plenty room for new members...but, if you don't mind, could you fill us in on your reason for seeking us out?"
"Kal, like Dakota, you are welcome to stay for as long as you wish. Just be sure not to cause any trouble."
"Kross...indeed, we do have a beta position open. But, as I said, you will be required to prove yourself first. If you are willing to go through with such a test, even if it means risking your life, I will give you your instructions."

Dakota quickly lifted her head as soon as she was spoken to. She smiled and looked over to the alpha. Her reason for being here? Fear of being alone. Craving friendship. There were quite a few reasons for wanting to join.
"I wish to be a part of something important, to help in any way that I can."
Dakota's two tone eyes looked into Kahvie's. Her smiled faded into an expressionless face. Would the alphess accept her? Or would she be turned away? Dakota had no idea, but whatever Kahvie's decision the husky would accept it with strength.

Kross nodded, what else was there to do, except earn her rank. The white fae was not afraid to risk her life for what she felt was a just cause, and this was one of those instances. She bowed her head to the Alphess as she replied,
"I am prepared for any test you can give me."

Kal smiled as a reply to Kahvie's suggestion/command. He lowered his head and nodded to her. His multi-colored fur rustled in the small breeze.
"i promise you i will not cause any trouble"
He smiled back at the alphess and looked to kota with a soft look. Knowing that she would be no trouble at all, if anything she would make a nice companion and friend. He then glanced to the white fae and his smile decreased somewhat and an ear lowered. He knew that if there was going to be any trouble it was going to be her.
"is there anything i can do for you as of right now mistress?"
He held all females high on his respect list, even if they were truely weaker than him. He also respected rank umong all canines.

Kahvie allowed herself to smile as Dakota gave her reason for wishing to join. "While I wouldn't call Synl anything important, you are welcome to join us. I'm sure that you will fit in just fine."
"Kross...your test will take place as soon as you are able to meet me in the clearing north of this place. And again...be sure you wish to do this."
Leaving the three to their own thoughts, the alpha disappeared into the dark trees. She would see Kross again soon, should the canine wish to take on Synl's test.
(OOC: Kross, I'll be starting a thread for ya to take the test:))
