A young female, with her tail hung low and ears held 'gainst her skull, trott'd long the lengths of the forest. She would tilt her gaze towards the misty sky, fighting to keep a long, lonely howl inside her chest. Her mitts padded the ground meticulously and slowly, with the delibreate tempo of a canine with nowhere to be. The only other sound was the soft seranade of an owl and the 'clink' of the key 'pon her studded brand 'bout her neck.
Her ears did not shift to the familiar sound of branches snapping 'gainst the terrain as she walked. Her emerald eyes shone brightly 'pon the night, and her short pelt shivered with cold fevour as she sneeze'd. She wheeled about with alarm, her abnormally large ears stood stark and erect, green eyes wide with excitement. She bark'd quietly to herself, the reflection of a moon-shine orb in the sky apparent in her empty hues. She looked about, nostrils flare'd at the scent of a wolfess. She shrugged, paws begining to resume movement as she continued on, sensing no danger.

((Have no fear, I'm here to reply!))
A cool night breeze had touched Synl territory, it would have been a calming feeling, but Anna found herself unable to sleep tonight. Her body was tense, anxious for some reason. So as her packmates slept, she took to wandering. Enjoying the crispt Autumn-esque air.
Feeling plunky the little corgi didn't even consider that she wasn't alone on her nightly constitutional...in fact she nearly jumped out of her skin as she heard the cracking and popping of twigs from nearby footsteps.
Had she really wandered this far away from the heart of the packlands? Anna kicked herself mentally as she noted she was just along the border again. Who knew what sort of ruffian was out there.
"'Ullo. Who goes there?" She woofled, to whomever was there. The little dog perked up her ears and put on a bold face, toughening herself incase some adversity reared it's head.
She really hoped it wasn't some bloodthirsty Sallin wolf...

Demos would pale as she detected the smell of a fae again. Her tail, now wagging quickly more from the excitement of fear than joy, made a swishy sound as she started to move slower and more carefully 'bout the twigs, key jingling annoyingly. She came face to face with the wolfess she'd smelled, trying to make her self as least visible as possible. As she got a better look, she eep'd in surprise that it wasn't a wolfess at all, but a small Corgi!
"Aiye!" Her surprised forced out a yelp from her throat and She jumped backwards, being a bit bigger than the other but more of a sniviling child than most dogs, wolves or not. She looked about for a place to hide, which must've looked quite silly due to her size and clumsiness. She finally gave up, not being able to avoid confrontation.
"Uhm.... I'm Demos... Demos Cormik." She didn't look the other dog in the eyes, feeling slightly threatened and intimidated by another canine. Cats were easy, almost fun, to attack... but she'd fought dogs before and tried to steer clear of them.
[Ooc: Just, by the way, I know how small corgi's are XD Demos is a big ol' baby husky that could go into a seizure if she was face-to-face with anything near her size.]

Though at first worried about having to face a fight on her own the appearance of Demos eased the dwarf dog's mind considerably. The pup's antics made Anna's facade of being some tough creature melt. Her features turning to a warm smile as Demos awkwardly tripped over herself to hide...a puppy! It was only a "little" puppy!
With a chuckle the corgi came closer. "I'm Anna. A member of the Synl pack..." she watched the little husky carefully, trying to gauge her emotions, "Are you lost Demos? " There were a lot of pups in teh world without parents, so she didn't dare ask if she had lost them...least she make her whimper or cry...though she did look about old enough to be weaned.

Demos looked to her, being larger but not noticing as the Corgi held herself well. She nodded silently, shaking as she tried to regain her calm. The mention of a pack made her loose her calm again as she swallowed an invisible blockage in her throat. SHe cleared her throat with a slight cough and tried to start up the wagging of her tail again to hide her nervousness. Her key made a jingling sound as she shivered slightly from being so nervous.
"I... I am lost... Ann...Annar." She spoke with an heir of shame to the Corgi. Her ears were held low, though they were barely ever perked like normal dog ears, given that they were larger than normal. The jingling slowed as she became calmer and her short coil'd tail began to swish about in its usual comfortable manner and she sat. "I came from far away... I think."

The sad little creature just made Anna feel like she needed to fuss over Demos. "Now, now...don't be frighened, you aren't in any trouble..." she tried to soothe the huskey. The corgi's ears perked, as to show there wasn't anything to worry about, putting on a happy face to calm her.
"Poor thing...." Anna smiled then gave the pup a nudge. "Come with me...you hungry?" she looked at Demos curiously, hoping the pup would get comfortable in her company. "So you're lost from far away?..." She pondered this deeply, if it would be responsible to keep the pup here, when perhaps she should go home. "But you don't seem to know where home is do you? "
It seemed very much like the corgi was thinking outloud. "Perhaps she doesn't want to go home..." her mind was in the clouds before she looked up at Demos. " That's true isn't it?"

The pup began to loosen up, encouraged by Anna's questions. She smiled, ever so slightly. She lost her balance a bit when she was unexpectedly nudged by the corgi, but quickly regained her stature before she fell. She followed the corgi, almost leaning down wards so that she wouldn't become lost. "Uhm..." The pup started to speak in a high voice that enforced her whelp-ish-ness (Yay, a new word!). "I'm a little hungry... I left everybody I knew about a month ago..." The pup's voice trailed off as she noticed how slender she'd gotten and how much taller she was since she'd last looked.
Suddenly she remembered the corgi's questions again. "I know home is thatta way..." Demos pointed to the left with her snout, though she doubted the corgi saw her. "And I don't think the plump man would let me come back anymore..." She looked to the corgi, a smile spread 'pon her maw as she wagged her tail a slightment.
"Where are we going, Annar?"

Anna chuckled as they moved along "Back to the center of the pack lands...lest some larger unfriendly wolf followed you past the borders." She informed the pup matter of factly, she knew that in a fight, they'd be nothing but raw meat and bloody fur. Though she didn't say that part outloud...
"Though when we get there...I'll see what I can do to find you some food." Her ears kept constant scan for any dangerous sounds or announcements, fortunately, outside of the occasional forest noise there was little going on. Well except the sound of adolesant canine plodding around.
"So you used to live with humans..." it explained how thin the little thing was, and why she was just going through territories willy-nilly. But if the husky wasn't welcome back to her old home, Anna wouldn't send her back...no, she'd put in a good word to the alphas, she knew that Kahvie and Sonny wouldn't want to send a pup out into the world unprotected. So she felt no guilt leading her right into the heart of the packlands.
"You know, I used to live with humans too, and I'm not welcome back either. I ran away when I wasn't much older than you." she confided with Demos, before tripping, the little corgi had a tough time making it through the brush with her short little legs. But she was more than used to it, pulling herself up fast enough that it didn't hardly look like an accident

Demos smiled warmly, noticing the trip as she lowered herself. "Want a ride?" She offered, being taller and having longer limbs than the corgi.
Knowing that the small dog had once lived with yew-mans, the prestigious pup softened up. Her tail began to wag and she became a bit more talkative. "Yeah... I didn't know I was running away. My mother drug me away." She spoke the last word quietly and abviously slightly agitated. She tilted her head with a slight look of confusion 'pon her maw. "Why did you leave?"

"No sweetie, I'll be alright once we hit the clearing ahead." Anna shook her head, the pup needn't carry her weight. But she appreciated the sentiment and wagged her stubby little tail in appreciation.
"So your mom made you leave?" she considered what that meant, Demos was telling the truth, and that left everything to the imagination of what had gone on in the pups old homelife. The corgi got increasingly protective of the little thing.
After a little while longer she stopped and sniffed the air. "I left because i didn't belong there. My father had been a mad dog...he bit the humans...and then ran into the woods, killing the humans animals to eat..." Anna shook her head. "They wouldn't let me live down my fathers reputation, so I left"

The small husky looked down at the corgi, smiling. "Mommy saved me because of all the master's fighting. I remember that Daddy wasn't moving, and this big black and brown dog was chewing on him and biting at him. Mommy grabbed me and we ran and then she tripped and our master yelled my name, 'You filthy Demos!'" The young pup calmed herself a little, as her entire body was swaying with the excitement of remembering. "Mommy said I was her Demos... and she'd love me forever, and then I left her as well... like she told me to."
The young pup wiggled about. "Where are we going, Annar?"
