Morimar had come back for a second whirl at the lovely autumnal atmosphere of Synl. Who couldn't resist the lovely forest in all of its delightful hues, cool surroundings and charming display of calm, yet surprising life. Morimar had had to come back after encountering the little Papillion, Beau, not so long ago. After all, he had still yet to see any of the actual members of Synl and the surroundings were comfortable and Morimar felt no alarm that a pack member would come upon him. They hadn't last time.
Padding along he came across a tree which bent oddly where a branch had once grown and been snapped off causing the rest of the tree to direct itself in another direction. The odd slant made it easy for even cumbersome dog claws to clamber up, and Morimar soon found himself a new look-out to observe the subtle happenings of the area. It was so peaceful a quiet here. A sporadic yip might invade the quiet, but mostly the rustle of leaves kept Morimar company.
Yes, the mix was here to try again for acceptance. Not because he had been denied the first time, but simply because he hadn't had the opportunity. Plus, he hadn't quite fitted anywhere else he had meandered to. Perhaps here, yes here, he'd finally belong. Hallow was pleasant, but too much action; Scatterstone Beach was too lonesome; and Rakine was the ocean and an unfamiliar in the social structure and attitude towards man. Morimar recounted his expeditions to every place and found that this was where he most enjoyed himself. Now, it was a matter of being wanted. He was, after all, half wolf and he had heard that that was enough for one not to fit about here. Here's to one more chance. Morimar thought, going against his typical quiet brooding when alone by lifting his muzzle and giving a long howl. Like taking a drink, it was smooth and refreshing though surprising as if one had taken a sip of soda when expecting water. Would anyone favour the flavour of his cry?

Branches snapping as she approached a long call, a small dog now allowed herself to be seen. Quickly looking over the new animal, this dog noted his strange appearance. A wolf? No...a sighthound, maybe? She couldn't tell.
"Excuse me, but what is your business here, and...what exactly is your breed?"

Morimar's ears flicked back on his head with the snap of branches. An ungraceful entrance? No, simply one who didn't necessarily mind being overheard while he was yodeling his complaints to those with an ear who could hear. Morimar looked the dog over quickly discovering goggles perched on her brow and her figure being smaller than his own. Goggles huh? Aren't those human inventions? He thought wondering he had grown lost and returned to Hallow sooner than he had anticipated. No, the autumnal forest belonged solely to Synl.
The other looked confused and voiced as much. Morimar could feel a burning under his skin of embarrassment. What was his business? He had none; was that bad? "I- I- I-" Morimar sputtered trying to think of something clever to say and finding himself blanker than a fresh blanket of snow on the flattest of plains. "I'm Morimar." He said, mentally slapping himself for answering a questioned unasked. Pull yourself together! A portion of his mind barked, the result being fierce blinking and swift shake of the head to clear his mind.
"I don't really have any business per se. I just...want to be here." Morimar said, finding himself to still sound stupid. If only he could articulate properly! He provided the dog with an apologetic, crooked smile before trying to think how best to answer the second question. If she knew so soon that he was half-wolf would he be turned out? Would she give him a chance? One could only hope. "Ummm...my breed? Yes well, I am part German Shepherd, with equal amounts of Pharaoh Hound and the rest is Timber." He managed to say, grimacing slightly and thinking how true the last word was. He was useless wood amongst the canines he wanted to befriend eventually. Perhaps he should just make like a tree and leaf. No, no, I want to stay here.
Mental arguments shoved aside, Morimar awaited a response; hazel eyes bright and hopeful as he stared at Kahvie with great anticipation.

Kahvie stood before the male as he seemed to think, then stumbled over his words in reply to her questions. Nervousness was common in newcomers, but it might also signal an attempt at covering up dangerous intentions.
...No. Even with all the pack was up against, the mutt had to admit it - she had been too cautious lately.
Tilting her head, the alpha replied the Morimar, "Pharaoh hound? I don't believe I've ever heard of that breed before." Then, with a swish of her fluffy tail, "are you looking for acceptance, by any chance? We can give you shelter, should you want it."

Shelter? I don't really need shelter. Morimar thought, curling his tail as he continued his mental debate. He had survived on his own for a long time, but didn't exactly enjoy complete independence. On the other hand, she had offered him a place. Could a single dog truly choose to just accept someone and that was that? If there weren't any trials or test, Morimar would greatly appreciate that; he really didn’t know how he compared to any other mutt. I imagine not very well.
"Yes well, the Pharaoh in me is far from home." He said smiling, his ears sliding back as he eased himself into complacency. The fae wasn't attacking him or staring him down so he shouldn't act timidly. Why he found it so dreadfully difficult to act at ease when put on the spot Morimar couldn't fathom, but wished to have this mild analysis over and done with so he could continue doing whatever it was he had thought to do. Nothing.
"Really? Just like that I could be here?" Morimar asked, perking up at the idea of such easily distributed acceptance. Perhaps all the others of the woods might put a paw forward if he really was one of them. It was a faint hope, but Morimar liked the idea of being a part of Synl. "It would be an honour to stay here." He answered, smile broadening at the idea of making this mild and beautiful place his actual home. Now, would the femme cement the idea or turn on Morimar, naturally he hoped for the previous of the two, but who knew but she.

The mutt shook her head, brushing a strand of brown fur from her face. "Indeed, you may stay here for as long as you like. We are a cautious sort, and you may be watched for a while by the others here, but it shouldn't be long before you are seen as a part of the pack."
She stopped, and considered her words for a moment before continuing.
"Of course, you may leave when you feel the need to, but we don't recommend that you travel in the direction of Sallin in such a case, both for our safety, as well as yours."
(OOC: Okidoki, he is accepted, but you may post again should he have anything else to say:)).

OOC|Naw, I'll let this thread lag so it's one more thing you can check off your list. Thank you so much!
