((This is my new dog character Whisper. This is her first rp in Synl and I hope to have a truly interesting rp to begin!^^I hope you'll join in on this, she would love to meet some new friends!))
Whisper padded through the night, her large eyes glowing softly, her tail held limply at her back. She was a mess of black and white against a canvas of gold and bronze, but snow was falling gently around her. Winter was well at her heels, the cold making her wince every now and then. She wasn't this used to cold weather, but she knew she would have to live with it.
Being new to this territory, Whisper had a lost expression on her face. The instant she'd stepped over the border she'd expected someone to jump out at her and welcome her, but instead she'd been padding about alone for the past hour or two. This was a dog pack, was it not? Then where was the "pack?" She sniffed at the wind, hoping to pick up a scent, but the frgidi wind made it hard to smell anything from her position. She simply walked on. She couldn't deny the feeling that she was lonely, terribly lonely, as lonely as she had been for these past times. She'd come here to escape that emptiness, but it had followed her here after all.
Sighing, she looked down at her paws, whispering a soft song her mother had taught her when she had been only a puppy. She'd claimed it would ward off the lonliness when it seemed that there was nothing but an empty abyss before her, and it comforted her a bit.
"Even in the darkness, when hope can't shine it's light. When loneliness is building, when it seems you've lost the fight. Carry on, through the darkness, don't look back just look ahead. Carry on through the blindness, through the pain, and through the dread. Hope resides, inside the heart, calling softly through the shadows. So let it come, don't look back just look ahead..."
The sogn was something she could hold onto forever, something that reminded her deeply of her departed mother. She smiled slightly, her eyes closed, the sudden calm overwhelming her. And there she stood in the stillnes of the dark, letting out a gentle sigh.
