Akim trodded slowly over the fallen snow, her proud head held high. She had just been accepted into the pack, but felt no particular excitment in meeting the other members. Being alone most of her life, she didn't have great intrest in changing that now, though she new she would have to soon now that she was a member of Arnlan. She just hoped that she wouldn't have to meet any foolish, yippy wolves in the mainland. Such wolves were more like dog puppies in her eyes, and she dispised their type.
The snow had slowly been turning to slush under her paws as she made her way throgh the mainland. Her legs were damp, but she payed no mind. The cold had never bothered her, in fact, it was always just the opposite. Cold and quiet is what she like the best. Some had told her that this kind of weater fit her perfectly. It matched her heart. She just laughed at comments like these. They were always delivered by fools, most of whom were dead soon after saying those words. Akim smiled at the thought and continued on.
She finally came to a spot that looked like a good place to rest at the base of a tree. She pushed the snow away and curled into a tight, black ball. She was hidden wonderfully by the shadows of the tree and the dark color of the damp earth. She covered her eyes and the florescent blue mark on the right side of her face so that she was practically invisible to anything else that might pass by, however, she was not foolish enough not to keep her ears perked and her nose out. She wasn't going to be taken off guard by anyone, especially not while she was a new member in the pack. She knew better than to let that happen.

Olonai placed his snout low to the ground, enjoying the preserved scents frozen by the melting layer of snow. That was how the snow was; it would came and cover even these dark lands with pristine white before trickling away through invisible streams before falling down again whether it be rain or snow. Either way, Olonai was not perturbed. He enjoyed the cold. Why else would he pick a pack like Arnlan? If anyone ever asked him, Olonai couldn't answer.
His heavy paws picking him neatly over the moist earth, Olonai heard the gentle breathing not far off of a companion out of view. Lifting his head, Olo twitched his ears to attention on the brow of his head and towards whomever had drawn his attention. A female. His nose told him, though something in the gentle breathing alluded to this fact also. Males just couldn't be nearly as delicate despite their efforts.
Olo carefully turned his head to the left to only see the varying depths of the Arnlan forests which he knew continued on, seemingly, to no end on his right as well. Neither was where this new prey hid however. Olonai wasn't hunting for food, but his curiosity had not yet been stifled by the surroundings and his warm copper gaze glittered with interest of another here in the darkness. Even if he wasn't terribly friendly, he liked looking at the other wolves who frequent the forest which he saw so infrequently. This place was a maze despite the fact he knew it by heart.
Cautiously taking a few paces forward, Olonai surveyed the scene from his newly provided perspective and spotted the culprit he had snuffed out. The disturbed earth and muddied snow was a dead giveaway although the fae herself was neatly tucked in the tree's hollow. Was she really asleep? Olonai doubted it although her eyes were concealed from view, yet she did not breathe like she was sleeping. Who knew, but Olonai intended on seeing what she was about. He had only met femmes of the pack so far and wondered how this other would compare. Should he say something? Possibly.
"Hello." He said softly, voice reverberating with the giant gentleness of his being and echoing the sheepishness he felt. Olonai didn't like approaching others, but felt it a necessity to further himself to even a better serving post. He stood a safe distance away from her, head lowered and eyes staring off towards the dainty footprints the female had left when coming to her current resting place. It's not polite to stare. He thought, continue to avert his glance elsewhere as he recited a lesson untaught to him. This should be interesting.
OOC|Seemed unfair to not have anyone reply so I hope you don't mind that I did.

Akim tensed at the sound of someone approaching. Then, remembering that she was a part of a pack now, relaxed and tired again to sleep. She had nothing to fear as long as the other was a fellow member of Arnlan.
She senced him walk up to her and stare. Remaining motionless, she waited until he said, "Hello" to make any response. Slowly, she removed her paw from her eyes and looked up at him, slightly annoyed that her rest was disturbed.
"Do you need anything?" she asked. He seemed to be uncomfortable, and his eyes shifted around as if he'd rather be anywhere but here talking to her. She stood, trying to catch his gaze. "Do you need anything?" she asked again after the lack of reply. Perhapse this was a waste of time.
Akim stared at him, her red eyes steady, drilling two holes into his head. She would have left, had she not felt a sence of responsibility to get to know this wolf. Though most wouldn't guess it, loyalty and trust were extreamly importaint to her. Being a part of the same pack, she knew they should at least become aquainted.
Sighing deeply, Akim tried to wipe out her arrogant pride and carry a conversation, but she couldn't think of anything to break the awkward air that had settled on the two of them, so she remaind silent and waited for the other to speak.

Olonai shifted uncomfortably on his paws as the other struck at him fiercely with her few words. He didn't like being on the defensive, but neither did he wish to strike back at her with his tongue. He had merely wished to create more bonds amongst the members in the pack. His ears folded back resignedly in a meager apology as he closed his eyes for a long moment to brace himself for anymore abrasive questions tossed his way.
"No, in truth I need nothing from you. I had though only to require your company for a short time if slumber is not terribly vital for a few moments." He replied, settling back on his hindquarters with his brilliant gaze focused squarely on the ground. He didn't want to invade through the other's eyes as Akim attempted to do to him. Olonai wasn't trying to pierce anyone or be coarse, but simply amiable. He felt like he must know his mates to recognize them from his enemies. Just because they smelled of Arnlan might mean little in a war later.
He shifted his forepaws in the moist snow finding himself wondering if more flakes would fall from the obscured sky soon. It was certainly cold enough even if it was spring. Olonai chanced a glance up at Akim and found himself eye to eye, copper to red. Olonai was surprised by the hue of her optics and uncertain whether such a shade impressed him or disturbed him. Blood was red and meant a great deal between the pack with bloodlines, yet the redness of Akim's eyes made her seem like she had cried many tears, was dreadfully tired or simply a lustful dark being. Olonai didn't like the latter images. Now, he could only hope for the best. He had tried to put a word out there. Would she snap at the bait and toss him aside, or perhaps even chase him? Or, would she remain cordial or complacent for the time being?

The wolf was polite, she would give him that. His response to her cold words surprised Akim. Most others would snap back or become hostile because of her disrespectful actions, but this one submissive and seemed to simply want to become friends with the towering timber wolf.
"No, sleep is not vital at the moment," she replied, trying to warm her tone a bit. She stepped next to him, bowing her head slightly to show that she meant no harm, and as she did, she felt small flecks of ice fall onto her fur. Looking up, she saw that it was once again snowing. She smiled, but realized that this other may not be as fond of the cold as she was.
"Perhaps we should stay here. The tree is thick enough to provide shelter from the snow unless the wind starts blowing," she offered. She would have much preferred to stand under the falling snow and let the cold chill her body, but this wasn't a time to think of herself. A pack was about connections, not about individuals.
This other seemed extremely shy. Maybe it was because he was always that way, or maybe it was because of her harsh approach. She didn't know how to fix either one, at least not right away. But eventually, perhaps, she could befriend this other and make her first step into the pack.
((OOC: I'm sooo sorry this took so long. I've just been so busy lately))

OOC| I'm the one who needs to apologize for the tardiness of my reply. Yikes!
Olonai tried to warm his smile as she rose to meet him and bowed her head kindly. It was a seemingly uncomfortable gesture for her, but Olo was not perturbed. He felt awkward and disheveled in trying to meet another and it was evident that this frosted other was not inclined to being exuberant in friendly banter either.
As the flecks toppled from the sky, Olonai glanced upwards where the flakes were hardly distinguishable from where they came from. It was strange to be looking straight up with utter vigilance only to have a flake sprawl its small form on your face where you could not see it. Ah, the surprise of snow. Olonai thought with some affection. Little did the other know that he was quite fond of the fluff and shards or other forms ice might come in. It seemed any who lived in this bitter climate long no longer found it bitter, but indeed quite friendly as it brushed a chilly stroke over fur.
"Is it only a fantasy of Arnlan wolves to have snow sprinkle their muzzles?" He asked with the most affection Olonai had ever verbally expressed (though this could be because he rarely talked). His glowing, copper orbs looked over at Akim and noticed the smile. It seemed he was not alone in his peculiar infatuation. "If we are of like mind in one thought, we needn't stay too near the tree unless a blizzard of hail crashes down." Olonai offered, inching away from the security of the bows out into a more open patch. If the femme did not follow he would understand.
His gaze regularly averting from her to the sky to the surrounding forest, Olonai realized what a fool he must be and open his maw to correct the mistake. "Forgive my absence of mind in one of many fashions. I am Olonai." His eyes slipped shut and he bowed his head more graciously as he greeted her formally. Somehow the snow caused him to forget whether he had introduced himself at all and therefore, he must pursue the ritual again. Not to mention, he had also forgotten the other's name. A silly of him! That's snow. Olo thought, a smile curving the very corners of his lips as he waited for her reply. What a great fool the brute of Olonai could truly be.
