The lighting and textures on all of these looks fantastic but above all, I must say I love the candle (a bit of a candle addict...). Job's a good 'un, Duke!

HOLEY CRAP!! *luffs on* Great job, Duke!
Some crit: I don't know if it's my computer screen, but I think the two tellescopes could use a bit more texture in the grips (where you focus them) that way it's a bit more broken up... ^^;

Those diamonds look amazing! What program did you use to make these?

the diamond and the glass candle holder were made using Gmax, a bare-bones version of 3d Studio Max. Everything else was build and rendered using Corel Bryce 5... thanks for the kind words guys.. @ nightblood, I run into the CRT vs LCD problem a lot; a texture or picture looks good on my monitor and bad on another; some day I'll learn the trick to find a balance.
thanks again guys

The ring and the diamonds were good. Did you use Caustics at all?

I always envy people who can do 3D models so well. Lovely work, Duke! ^^

A big thank-you to those who commented; mebby I'll share anything else cool I come up with. I'd take requests if I thought I'd be able to meet expectations; there are many things I don't yet know how to do. If anyone wants to inquire I'll take a PM.
@ Donn; unfortunately, Bryce doesn't handle caustics; such effects are created manually by adding extra light sources and tweaking the properties of the textures. (Glad to see someone noticed that!) If it worked as well as Lightwave it would cost 1000+ dollars too..! If you are into this stuff I'd be happy to share notes & images etc.

Certainly am into this stuff. I mainly work with HDRI rendering on Cinema 4D. I'd be happy too as well.

Awesome, Duke! There's so much dodgey 3d art on the net that it's a nice change to see good stuff XD Good job with the lighting/reflections/focus in the candle one!
