All members now have the option to censor words via their profile (go to edit your profile, and the option will be listed after the bookmarks option).

Yeah...I don't mind most cuss words (some hard-core ones have been blocked by me for the entire board, however), but I know some people would rather not see things like that, so when I saw the code for personal censoring, I decided to add it:).

Very, very good idea. I tend to slip at the mouth sometimes and there's kids on here so it's good to know it'll be blocked if I do make an accident. [hehe]

Yeah that is a good idea, after all we do have some younger peeps here. ((I looked at the censored word list over at Crimson Tears and its really funny. It changes the words into "indifferent" phrases...its really funny actually! We block a lot of stuff there becuase personally I am bothered by intense language.))
I'll definately look into this!

OH MY GOD.  this is a truly awesome idea. I am going to have such incredible amounts of fun with this, I swear. I just wish so much that we had more than five words to change!! Because I'm so not using the spaces to censor swear-words ^___^ ETA: We DO have more than five words! Excellent! The filter appears to only work on what you write in posts, though? I changed 'death' to 'rumpy-pumpy' and the slogan under where Blackrage's icon would be still says '... I am the shadow of death'. It probably doesn't matter, because people aren't likely to slip out with profanity in places like that, but I thought I'd mention it. Off to see if it works in sigs now. EATA: It does! Cool. Edited agaaain to add: I don't know if you can do anything about it, but the process is really slow and laggy atm. I've sat and watched one word change to another, and sometimes it's taken several loads of the page before it works. Although!! It could just be my connection, because I'm on a terrible rural dialup one. In which case, if it's that screwing things up, ignore what I said about the words under the icon because that's probably because of the same thing. Er, anyway. I'll shut up now <.< |

Yes, I have noticed the thing under Blackrage's Icon (I am her best friend) and it does not bother my, after all death is not a curse word am I right?

Heyyyyy *holds up hands* I wasn't saying 'death' was a curse word or trying to get at anyone. I was just being silly amusing myself by exchanging random words with other ones; your word thing was just something that caught my eye after I'd done my initial word changing thing, not something I targeted. I've also exchanged 'legolas' with 'legolam' and 'fish' with 'automobiles' and such. I'm sorry I seemed like I was being mean! :0 I'm an idiot, yes, overly silly, yes, but I try not to be mean  I gotta shut up more. I keep upsetting people o.o |

You kniow, this is a good idea....
and I can't help thinking what silliness would have happened if I had made my user name 'Death' like I was going to.... I would have been known forevermore as "Rumpy-pumpy" XD whooot. No woorse than Coop changing my name to Enjoyer of Monkies.
