It's a real problem, and as so, I feel I need to address it. I apologize if I sound mean or rude in this post, as that is not how I am trying to come across as, I'm just trying to, well, address the problem. Also, a few of you guys with alphas have really been trying to keep your characters active, and have been in contact with me regarding, so you know who you are, and therefore this thread does not apply to you.
I would prefer that you role play comic characters at least two times a week, as they do play an important part here.
Taken from this thread. While I realize and understand that things happen in real life that get in the way of fun on the Internet, there are comic character accounts here that have not been posted with in a month, some which have not been logged into for more than that. I've also had people pop back on the board and say that they have been absent with a character for X reason and will be posting again by X time. And that's fine, things happen, and you are awesome for letting us know why you have not been around. However, said players will often disappear and never post after that, or post once and then abandon the thread. This is especially a problem with alpha characters, who are needed to keep their packs, and ultimately the board, alive. It's unfair to those who may wish to play a comic character as well as well, as I know there are a few individuals here who wish to be able to do so.
If you are playing one of my characters and either stray dramatically from their personalities or are absent for more than one month without having informed us that you will be leaving for a while, the character will be taken back so others can have a chance at role playing them.
Up until now, I've been hesitant to put inactive comic characters back up for adoption because I would feel it rude, and as I said before, I know myself how hard things can be to keep up with. But that is why I am asking comic character players to be honest with themselves...despite the fact that it's fun to know that you have the privilege of playing a comic character, are you able to keep up with what is asked of you when you are given said character? I really don't want to sound like a bitch or make anyone feel bad, but I will start giving warnings and putting characters back up for adoption if they are not being used within the next week or so.
Again, I'm truely sorry if what I've said here sounded mean or made anyone feel crappy, as I didn't intend to sound that way. I'm not mad at anyone either, I'm just trying to give people a nudge in terms of following the standards they agreed to when they took on a character:B.
