J.D. is the very quiet brooding type, though he's more concerned for his family than anything. Those he cares for always come first, before his own life in all cases. He's the sweet-heart, that is always looking out for anyone who is in need really. J.D. is rather sensitive, and can take many things too personally, though he hides any pain under a mask of that normal silence that he has. It takes quite a bit to really tick him off, but by pushing J.D.'s buttons too much, such as insulting his loved ones, he tends lash out.
