The cool sea breeze hit the boardwalk with a steady gust, more frigid now that the sun went down. And in its absence, the shadows came out to play, as such a particularly large shadow snuck out from under the docks, one with bright yellow eyes and horrible matching crooked teeth. Murk smiled as he looked up to the moon, like a silver dollar...it was beautiful, and he could only find himself in rapt fascination of the object, until he noticed...it had moved...or rather hours had passed, but it was of no consequence to him.
Like the moon, his humors carried a brightness that hadn't been there in awhile, enough to make the usually dark spirited shuck howl with a strange giddiness that was almost concerning. As he loped along the docks he sang old sailors tunes his gruff voice haunting the rotes as he went
"The wind, they say, it is a that through the winter The wind, they say, it is a song that bids the soul to enter Let us sail the seas my friend, let us sail together The singer lasts the season long, but the song, it lasts forever Ya know the wind..."
The male trailed off as he went, forgetting the lyrics or somesuch nonsense...laughing as he leapt ahead.

In an alleyway near the docks, a trashcan clunked and rustling could be heard from within. Khalid was hungry, and he hoped to find something to chew upon, until something better could be found.
"Hmm... Of course there's nothing here." Khalid was muttering to himself. He picked up a small... something... from the pile. "Nothing palatable, anyways. 'Tis my luck, I suppose."
He climbed out of the trashcan and shook himself, trying to remove the more obvious filth from his coat.
"I truely wish I had better options, but unless I can find some foolish person with a slab of meat, I don't have many options." Still muttering, the hound began to wander closer to the docks, looking about for any potential foodstuffs.
Khalid's ears perked up when he heard singing from further down the docks. Turning his head in the direction of the sound, he almost seems to laugh. He casually saunters along, heading for the singer. As he approached Murk, he spoke, his voice as deep and slimly as he could make it sound.
"Murk." He said simply. "You slimy old seadog. I've been wondering where you have been these last few nights. I need to keep a closer eye on you. I find an accepting young thing to warm me for the night, and when I awake my old friend is gone. Have you no patience?"
Khalid grins widely at Murk, awaiting the larger dog's response.

The scent of the hairy dog that occasionally came and went made pause to the shuck's laughter and singing. His temperment darkening some as he had been disrupted from his glee. "I 'ave only a'nuf patience to keep me fr'm tearing yur guts asunder." he ruffed at the hound, he had gotten short with Khalid one or two times before...each weighted statement always ended in a snap of his great jaws. "You left me." he growled, pacing somewhat...he seemed to be in quite the acusatory humor today.
Not good not good.

Khalid recoils a bit, surprised at that larger dogs anger.
"My apologies my friend, was only a jest." Khalid bowed his head slightly. "I meant no insult, I had merely missed your lovely presence."
Khalid raised his head once more and smiled at his friend.
"I shan't take off unexpectedly again, my apolgies." A mischevious grin drifted across his face. "Care to join me for a little chaos? I hear tell that there may be some action at the other side of the port."
With a step to the side, Khalid leaves Murk open for the next move.

The great foul natured beast snapped his jaws again but after a little ponderous thinking seemed to be placated by the hounds aplogies, however fake they may be...it still sounded pretty enough. But that was just paranoia coming through...
Murk was about to get very ugly even still, but the sounds of trouble making made him wriggle like a little pup. "Of wot sorts of troubles eh Foreigner? " He never though that toppling over human wastecans were anything near the concept of: chaos...he wondered idlely, if the little beast even knew the meaning of the word. Afterall....he -was- chaos.
With a filthy grin and a cluck of his tongue Murk nodded then ran off into the night, he'd show that little tramp what chaos was....that was, of course if he could keep his focus for the rest of the night.

With an excited bellow, Khalid gave chase. He ran after the large beast, ready for some fun.
"That's more like it my friend. Mayhaps we may even find something good to eat." Khalid grinned. "I heard tell that one of the ships comes to port tonight. Some quite shiny things I hear. A well placed stumble, a well planned run, could well get things riled up..."
His paws clicked upon the street as he ran.
"Besides, these men always seem so happy to see us."
A wide grin and Khalid continued to run.

"Rioght..." The beast rolled his eyes at the humor of Khalid, part of Murk's soul, his very being wasn't into the whole buddy thing, but he tried, afterall, the poor foreigner needed him. As the shaggy pup didn't have another to call his own. He on occasion, outside of hating the hound, felt a unrefutable strain of kinship between the two of them.
He didn't much care for -that-
But still the shuck stopped as they reached the dockyard and their newly ported boats and then frowned. "So then, merry mischeif maker, what you think? Shall I attack, frighten em so you can sneak by? Or you...make like the sad pawp and I weedle in? " It was old hat by now, but something that the two dogs had down like chemistry.
"Hmmm? Or do you have some brave new trick up your hairy sleeve?"

"'Tis an excellent question my shabby friend..." Khalid wasn't much better looking, but it was a phrase he used so often on the larger beast that he almost considered it his term of endearment for Murk. "The real question is though, what do we desire from them."
Khalid shook himself slightly, still trying to dislodge some grime from the garbage digging earlier. He paced slightly, obviously thinking.
"What chance do you think they have something we would want? If that be the case, then the old spook and sneak would work marvelously." He paused and grinned at Murk. "If, however, we merely wish to scare some folk and break some things, then I could lure them away long enough for you to create some merry madness."
With a wider grin, Khalid looked down the pier, towards their target. "Or we could go for plan C..."

"Pup, since when did desire ever intertwine with chaos? The point isnt' whether we want something from them, what we want is to rampage wantonly..." Murk seemed a bit baffled with Khalid, his brow lifting ever so slightly. His head tilted to the side and one ear perked. He was thinking, but ended it with a whine, when ever he thought...it only brought up painful things...
That's why it was best to live in the moment, he considered with a final whimper. Who was that bloke who's feelings were in his head. Murk growled, shook and then stared intensely at the hound before him.
"Do we have a plan C?" he looked around as though they were sharing a terrible important secret. He hadn't thought they had another plan, but sure, why not?

Khalid made a sound akin to both a laugh and a sigh. He shook his head, a small smile on his face. He wasn't sure he'd ever fully understand the larger hound, but then again, that was part of the fun. He momentarily lifted an eyebrow at the other dog's growling, but Khalid had spent far too much time around Murk to not be used to it.
"Of course we have a plan C, my friend." Khalid grinned widely. "We wing it. Damn the consequences." He paused for effect. "And if someone gets hurt..."
The hound trailed off with a laugh and began running again.
