Golden eyes were wide in amazement as the black timber wandered the dark cemetery. So many gravestones, it was almost like a miniature city. She could not read the words carved into the stone, but she kept seeing the same pattern over and over. R.I.P....what did it mean? It didn't make any sense to the wolf. The wind carressed her face, blowing her bangs away from her right eye. It was slightly lighter than her left, but not completely blind. Being under a veil of black hair had only impaired the vision a little.
The timber continued on, searching for the meaning behind the repeated carving. She was naturally curious, and had no fear of this morbid place. Her confidence made her bold and fearless. Someday it would get her into trouble, but for now it only allowed her to learn more about her surroundings. She smiled as she saw a boquet of flowers at the base of a gravestone. Whatever had placed the flowers had been here recently. THe flowers hadn't even begun to wither. She sniffed them and sighed happily. Roses...they're so lovely.
Keris looked up at the night sky and saw the moon behind the clouds. Its pale light made the surrounding clouds glow with a silvery sheen. It was beautiful to look at. The black timber padded softly to the base of a tree and layed down. She wasn't tired yet, so she'd stay awake and greet whoever happened to pass by. Nighttime was a wonderful time to meet odd creatures that shun the light, and Keris wanted to learn about them.
