Fox let out a long sigh, dropping his head. "Oh god, i hope nothing has happened to them" He let out with a strong hint of worry in his heart. His ears perked slightly as he heard some rustling in the bushes. His teal colored eyes shot straight to where J.D. was.
"J.D.!" The slate and grey colored male ran to the small pup and began to lick him profusely. He was so glad to see him alive and well. "Where's everyone else?" He laid down beside the pup, just happy he was alive.

J.D. blinked in surprise, before smiling lightly at Fox, feeling suddenly safer. He drew closer to the adult beside him, staring up at him, with the slightest bit of curiosity in his eyes, though all other emotion was hidden. He shifted, pausing to think, the pup took a breath and shook his head in response to Fox's question. "I don't know." The pup replied quietly.

Fox's ears lowered as well as his head "I hope they're okay" He said before getting onto his haunches and looked down to J.D. "Are you okay kiddo?" He stood up and picked J.D. upon his back. "I'm gonna take you back to your mom, and please keep her safe. She needs you more than you know" He smiled back at him. "Dont let her out of your sights okay?"
The canine started to head back to the cemetary where Dana was waiting for him to return with the pups.

J.D. nodded slowly, as he pulled himself as close to Fox as he could get. 'Whats wrong with mom?' The pup thought, wishing to ask, but keeping it to himself, it was one of those things that just did feel right to mention at this point. J.D. kept quiet as he thought, growing more concerned for his parents and sibilings...
Dana's head lifted, as she heard Fox's approach. She was currently laying down, in the same spot she'd been in when Fox had left, the shepard wasn't sure she could move anyway, not after what she heard. Pausing, Dana's eyes widened, and she stood up slowly, spotting who Fox had brought along with him. "Oh, J.D." She whispered, relieved at least one of her children was safe.

Fox approached Dana with a smile and picked J.D. up once more, setting him onto his paws infront of his mother. "I have to go find the rest, J.D. said he didnt know where they were, so..." He looked down to J.D. "Keep your mother safe and sane for me okay. Just love her." That was his solution for her all these years. His love is what kept her sane when they were together, even though she never knew it.

J.D. stared up at Fox, his bright eyes confused, and the slightest bit afraid. He hoped he would be strong enough to do what Fox asked. All the pup really wanted to do was be there for his family, be strong just for them. J.D. nodded and smiled. "I will."
Dana smiled, pulling her son to her with one paw, nuzzling him lovingly. She was overjoyed to have J.D. back, feeling now, with Fox there that she could try again, and be a good mother. She licked J.D.'s muzzle once, before turning her gaze up to Fox. "You know.... I knew you would come back, but each time you walk away.... I can't help but be afraid." Dana stepped toward him. "You've been my strength for so long... I need you now more than ever." She leaned forward, and licked Fox's cheek gently.

Fox smiled down to J.D. "That 'a boy" He chuckled lightly before watching Dana approach him. To be honest he wasnt fully expecting her to move more than where she was. He had always known he was her strength, but he felt like sometimes he only added to her pain, thats why he left so many times.
He blinked slightly, haunching back some as she approached him closer, licking his cheek. A light blush ran over his darkened cheeks. "uh..." He didnt know what to say. She never admitted stuff like this, and the fact that she worried about him when he left each time was new too. He was in kind of shock that she had admitted this to him. For a minute he let it set in then smiled and returned her kind lick. "Thank you for worrying Dana. You keep me sane too" He also admitted. Without her, there would be no Fox the way he was. In a sense she had shaped him into who he was. If it werent for her supporting his wild antics and dreams, he wouldnt be the same.

Dana stared at her friend, smiling softly. She drew even closer, nuzzling his neck lightly, the shepard paused there, against Fox's fur. "I do need you. I always have..." She paused, pulling back, Dana lowered her eyes. "I'm starting to wish I'd followed you the last time." She murmured, still admitting everything, knowing she had to get it out.
"Just..... stay with me... If not for my own good but.... Their's..." Dana spoke softly, lowering her gaze to J.D. who had already curled up tiredly beside her

Fox simply stood therea taking in her scent once more and her warmth against his. It had been so long since she approached him like this before. He nuzzled her in return before watching her closely and licking her muzzle. "I'll always come back to you and the kids" He reassured her as he nodded. Letting her know that he would do all in his power to bring the family together, but replacing John with himself.

Dana nodded slowly, smiling softly at Fox. She remained still and silent for a moment. Taking a deep breath she smiled weakly at him. It was sad that here he was, her best friend, sounding like more of a father then she'd ever heard John sound. "I'm glad..... I... have you back, Fox..." The shepard blinked slowly, smiling up to her friend. He could keep her from losing her mind for the moment, and that was good enough for now... though she knew there was more to all of this than that.
