Arwen watched as the canine leaped itself at the female canine. She watched as the branch miss the male canine. She wasn't helping, she was going to watch another creature die before her eyes. She bolted off the tree and ran straight for the canine, her sharp claw and teeth were going to sink into that canine's legs. Her eyes only focused on the canine that she was going to attack. This time she wasn't going to hide while the people who were going to protect her died in front of her. She was going to defend herself. Arwen was taking her first steps into adulthood. And she had to, if she were survive much longer. She remembered when River came along to help her when she didn't even know how to wash her fur properly, River taught her how to hunt, but she was gone, Arwen didn't know where, but if she died, there would be no tears. But this female canine had someone. Arwen couldn't be the kitten she always was. She was almost there, her claws and teeth about to sink into his skin. (You decide if she gets to hurt him or not.)

Donn's eyes went wide open in surprise, and he gave a loud yelp of pain, and came short of Whisper, kicking up the sand as he tried to turn around whilst leaping for her throat at the same time. It didn't work, and he ended up on his side a Whisper's feet, snarling and scrambling madly to get that blasted kitten off. He twisted round, and seeing the kitten biting his leg start running about angrily in circles, trying to shake it off. Donnatrix was furious and a bit nervous. His phobias were returning him fear of his position. There was an animal attached to his leg, and he hated contact with other animals for a start. Then there was the sun and the sand. Donn's dark fur was now a home to a lot of sand, and he hated that as well. The wolf finally managed to get the kitten off his leg with a good kick, and he turned round once more, his head now facing the kitten who had been so aggressively biting him. "You're dinner now!" he growled and came at her, mouth open, with his long fangs bared.

When he ran in circles, she could not decide if he was scared or just plain angry, but she didn't have time to think, she was holding on for dear life, but also clawing and scratching. He kicked her in the face and she landed with an "ooff" about a yard away. Just for a moment she was in a daze. "You're dinner now!" he growled before he ran at her, his mouth wide open and ready to kill. Her eyes grew wide and she bolted into some random direction, her head a bit clearer, but she ended up running straight into the ocean. she slowed down slightly when the water that would not have been so bad for a larger creature, engulfed her and pulled her farther away from the water that she could run in. The water was to her shoulders, she was running frantically and the waves kept pulling her deeper into the water. She saw a rock in the water and leaped onto it, her legs shaking with fear. She looked behind herself to see the canine growing closer, Arwen looked to both sides before running back to shore. She had to find something that scared him, or disgusted him enough that he would leave her alone. But what?! What could possibly be strong enough to save her? She could run up a tree again, but then they would be going into circles. Arwen considered turning around and hitting him from the front, but those jaws could swallow the poor kitten with one bite. She ran toward the female canine, hoping that she would gather the courage to help her shake this dark creature that followed her like a shadow. Arwen knew that if they worked together they might have a chance, but she could run in circles much longer. If she found a place to hide, that dog would be in trouble again. Arwen had no idea what to do, all she could do was face him. She stopped at Whisper's side and turned around, her eyes flashing a look of anger, a flash of her father's spirit.

((Sorry about the wait!))
Whisper watched in surprise as the kitten dashed up behind the other dog, wondering what the small creature was doing? The answer came as the feline launched itself into the air and onto the back of her opponent. Whisper stood there, frozen with fear and taken aback by surprise as the kitten and the wolf grappled for control. The canine writhed and growled, snapping at the kitten who hung on for dear life. This was madness. Pure madness.
Whisper had never been in a situation like this one before, so how was she supposed to know what to do? She felt the need to help, to tear that dog away and get him down on the sand, to growl in his face and show him the wrong of his actions, but could she? It wasn’t whether or not she was willing, but if her small body would make any difference in the struggle. Though the other dog was not huge, he had strength, and he had the will to fight. What did she have? Fear and anxiety, the need to run? That wasn’t going to get her far.
Still, the sickened feeling in her stomach remained, and she dug her paws into the sand in frustration. What was a dog to do?
Suddenly, the conflict shifted closer to her. Whisper’s eyes bugled wide as she saw the kitten let go and dash towards her, stopping by her side. In those eyes, all she could see was a cry for help. In an instant, the small Border collie mix had the kitten behind her front paws, her body a fortress to protect. Her eyes burned with a warning, but still there was fear. Could she really do this? Could she harm another being this way? However, as her eyes locked onto the canine before her, she knew. This one needed some punishment, and it would do her good to at least attempt being the dealer. There was no one here to help her, but herself.
“Stay back,” she growled, “You’re not going to touch this kitten!”

Donn slowed, panting. He was getting tired, he had been in the sun the longest he had been in a long while, and he was still hungry. The dark wolf came to a halt about two metres away from the very edible looking pair, and shook himself of the sand angrily. He didn't like it, it made him feel dirty. As well that the sun was really hurting his pale, blue-grey eyes now. Donn's response to the words spoken by the dog were short, and simple.
"You are both meat" he snarled back, and advanced forward, this time he moved low to the ground, as if stalking the kitten and dog. He growled in his hissy, spitting style, and with about a metre or so to go sprang up from his lower position to aim to bite hard on Whisper's neck. If he was successful in disposing of the dog, the kitten would recieve the same treatment. He didn't know if he could eat both, but he hated them particularly for making this so difficult, so decided to kill them anyway. Donn's hope was impeded by his eyes, which he had to squint up now to avoid any more discomfort.

Arwen's eyes grew wide as the wolf lunged at the dog she was cowering underneath. Neither of them were used to fighting this way, she wasn't sure what to do. This was her chance to bolt away and leave her problems on the dog who was standing up for her. But somehow, she couldn't move. She knew it would be wrong to leave them like this. Arwen could only hope that they would survive this. It seemed to go in slow motion. Arwen was unable to move, hoping that the dog would have some trick up her sleeve. But it was too dangerous to sit there and hope the dog would pull a quick move. She turned around and kicked the sand in the air, hoping that it would make the wolf pause in order to wipe the sand out of his eyes.
