With its stoney shore and grim grey tide, Scatterstone was a picture postcard of lonely locales. Cold dank dew hung on everything, threatening to freeze at a moment's notice. A sign of autumns turning. Both beautiful, and unwelcoming at the same time.
Truly for Viernes, a creature so used to the sun, and heart of her home land it was nothing more than a sharp reminder that she was as lost as she was alone. Not that she minded all that much, but she did shudder just the same, more against the cruel tide wind cutting through her thin feathery coat than any because of any misgivings.
This was an experiance. New, and welcomed, though not exactly comforting. She grinned wide through her grimice, a bold proud little thing she was. Flicking pebbles into the water and watching them break the chilled surface. The first time she had seen the sea from a proper beach, not some criaggy cliffside.
Something new to note. Something to be optimistic of. The spainard barked, and made her way down the beach, her paws making a line down the moistened sand, zigzaged, like she were playing a game with the ebbing and flowing waterline. She dared not touch it...

It had been curiously nippy that morning, not exactly anything to be noticed, but at the size of a medium domestic dog it was all that crossed the Jackal's mind.
He had wandered to the beach in hopes of the sand to warm his feet. Alas the almost vacant shore braved a constant lashing of frigid waves. The lithe, nimble paws swerved somewhat playfully between the rushing tides as it swallowed the sand, then receded into itself. It had been a normal mundane day. He woke up at his usual time, made his usual rounds at the docks and found himself wherever his paws chose to take him. It had been like this for quite some time and he grew more and more tired of its repetitiveness. He was grateful that he had survived this long on his own, but he craved adventure, he craved for something new.
He gave in to the stubborn waves and allowed the icy water to run freely over his paws. He gave a slight shiver at the feel, then allowed his senses to dull and lowered himself onto the damp sand. He placed his chin upon the ground and allowed the water to rush around his jaw. The feeling was somewhat painful, and somewhat refreshing. He lapped a few times at the salty substance and synchronized his licks to the flow of the tide.
He had barely noticed the female approach, which resulted in a hasty readjustment of position, though he executed it as if planned. He neatly (so as not to wet her) shook the light coat of water which had soaked into his thin fur, from his body and righted himself, facing the female. He wasn't sure if she had noticed him yet, the sun impairing his vision. He blinked a few times and bowed his head in greeting. He attempted in softening his accent to make himself easier to understand.
"Ello' ma'am. Fine day, is it not?"
He concluded his query with a soft smile.[/sub]

The sunlight hitting the water had given Viernes a bit of light blindness, but the sound of the male's voice hadn't taken her nearly as off guard as it should have. She smiled, a keen smile on her face as she kicked yet another pebble off into a wet oblivion.
"Hola." Though Forrester had tried as hard as he could have to lessen the effects of his accent, Viernes had not the capacity too, her smooth Spanish tone tinting the sound of her voice. "It is, a little on the cool side, but pretty." Her ears tilted, she could not currently see the male past a green/purple blur but she noted that he was hardly a threat, with a sniff she noted he had a slight wild scent to him. A wolf? Well maybe, but even she had grown feral past her former pet days...so she couldn't tell.
There was a bit of silence from the sighthound before she perked up again. "Whose territory are you from? I'm sick of clearing out, so I'm not moving. Just so you know. I'll leave in my own good time, no faster than that." she warned him, there was no threat in her tone, just a fiestiness that sounded as though if he had been a pack embassitor telling to her go, she wouldn't leave peacefully. But she still kept that tricksy smile on her muzzle.
"I'm Viernes.." She stood boldly, ears erect and tail moreso, "You are?" She walked closer to Forrester, getting a better look at him.

[ I'm sorry for the delay. ^^; ]
He cocked his head aside in mild amusement, as the female spoke. She wasn't of this place either it seemed. Ah well, no sense in masking your heritage. He nodded subsequently to her statements of the weather.
"Yes, a bit nippy for someone my size."[/sub]
He gave a slight chuckle at her noticeable authoritative manner, as if he had threatened her. 'Spunky' as they would call it here.
"I am a wanderer myself, lovely, no need to fret. I do not wish you to leave, in fact I'm quite enjoying the company. A nice change from my boring schedule."[/sub]
He nodded in gesture of his genuine nature and perked an over sized ear at the mention of her name.[/sub]
"M'lady Viernes, and If I haven't so butchered the sound of your name, you might forgive an old English fellow. M'names Forester, Forest by kin and chap. And where might I ask do you hail from, Miss Viernes? Your accent is quite peculiar to find in these parts."

((Its cool. Not a problem, I've been busy myself.))
It was easy to see the female's mannerisms changed as they may, as she dropped the facade of difficulty rather smoothly when Forrester proved that he too was just a wandering mutt of sorts. "I apologise about my behavior...I well, you know, what with all the difficulty in these parts, I've grown a bit snappy..." Viernes shook her head and laughed heartily, her feathery fur shaking about as she moved. After the shift of her fur, the startling pale blue of her eyes were more apparant.
"Tis a pity I took it out on you. But these things happen...you have been here long then English?" She smirked, knowing full well that the wolfish male had given her his name, it was just that she rather liked teasing folks.
Though when questions began to get directed at herself, Viernes could only humm and haw over the right things to say she was forward, yes, but she always hated being so much so that she alienated new company before she met them "I'm rather new to here...I'm from Spain...along the coast. There really isn't any need to call me Ms...Viernes will suffice. That makes me sound so old."
With a smirk she clucked her tongue "So what brings you here?"
