Soft ebony paws thumped against the sand in a rhythmic motion. Long, lean legs swiftly carried the small body of the she-wolf across the sand. A smile played on her jaw line as she dashed down the beach. She loved running, it felt almost like flying if she closed her blue eyes. Her black paws started to dig into the wet sand, making her slow to a halt. Her blue eyed gaze swept over the dark, roaring ocean. She was always fascinated by it. It seemed to never end. Panting she sat down on her ebony hackles, her blue eyes fixed on the ocean. A spark of wonder twinkled in her twin eyes, the same spark a puppy would have when they watched one of their parents hunt. The salty water lapped at her small front paws. She sighed, closing her blue eyes. A cooling breeze, blowing from the ocean, ruffled her white fur, making her shiver abit. She always like a warm forest then a cool beach for some reason. It was the same with her mother, and the same with her mother. She sighed again, lazily opening her eyes to watch the waves crash into the shore. It was so peaceful yet, acted so reckless.

And here was Merrin, trotting merrily along the beach with her long, rather patheticly feathered tail swinging along behind her. The small female mutt was in a rather good mood, as always...It was pretty rare to see her angry. Why was she here, anyway? Just being happy, enjoying the water...The color-splatted female enjoyed the water, and everything to do with it. And color-splatted she was -- Her white base coat was splotched with various grays, blacks, and even the random streaks of red in her tail. Of course, that was from her Irish Setter ancestors...Nothing else was.
Both ears pricked at the sight of another critter running along the beach. She looked sort of like a wolf...But that didn't matter to Merrin. Breeds meant nothing...appearances meant nothing. As corny and retarded as it sounded, the inside was what mattered...Although, being a bit more suspicious than she usually let on, Merrin hadn't met the 'insides' of many others. She was one of those dogs that would act all friendly, but be judging you and studying you in her head...Probably the only remotely threatening quality about her.
Trotting over to the white stranger as quietly as her big paws could carry her, the rather small dog came to a halt a few feet behind the other. The wind was buffeting her now, running through her fur and causing it to ripple slightly. No, Merrin didn't have long, dramatic fur. She was more of a sparsely-covered creature. Unimpressive, for the most.
"Hi there, stranger." Finally she was ready to make her prescence known, in the friendliest way possible, it seemed.

Kris dashed out of the forest. She loved the beach, Everything was so, big! The sand spread out infront of her, the sea water monotonously overlapping the sand, creating wavey patterens along the shore. Not that she noticed.
The 1/2 bred Australian Kelpie was headed straight for the sea. The wind rushed up against her face, plastered with a wide grin. The water felt cool against her sleek body, and soaked into the dark coloured bits of fur. Her markings reflected that of her father, a fully bred Australian Kelpie, where as her build leant more toward her mother, a grey wolf.
Her paws broke the calm of the sea, she let the salty water drip freely from her muzzle, licking it every now and again. She stood still momentarily, deciding whether or not to swim out further, or hed back toward the sand. That sand sure smelt good. She plodded through the mixture of sand and water she had created, trying to shake off the water from her coat. She looked around hoping no one was around.
Two lone figures stood a little way off, one noticably smaller than the other. Kris lauged. If they saw her, she would have made a fool out of herself again. She shrugged it off Hmmmm Rolling in the sand would have to wait.
She barked playfully, as she ran toward them. "Hellooooo!" Kris had yet again made a foolish entrance.
