Everything became a blur around Goa as he ran trough the forest. He was panting as he scanned the snow covered environment for any sign of the she-wolf he followed as he ran. The paw- and footprints he was tracking told him they were near. Then suddenly he saw something. He ran as fast as he could towards the grey form laying in the snow and he made a stop right next to it. The grey shape was surrounded by blood, staining the clean, white snow. Goa nudged her with his nose, and then he saw her green eyes opening and turning on him. She was alive... yet. Goa wanted to speak, but he could only moan. The forest became dark around him and then everything was gone.
The water felt cold. Still it was warm compared to the waters of his homeland. He knew; he fell in a leak once. Years ago. Now, after days, finally he felt solid ground beneath himself. It was sand. A shore maybe. His leg hurt badly, but he knew he still could stand up if he wanted to. If he wanted to, but he didn't feel the need for it. Bad memories. Worst ones. Someone was near, and approaching slowly. He could hear the pawsteps closing with his left ear, which was above the water. Suddenly someone grabbed him by his neck scarf and dragged him out of the water. Goa didn't know if his leg was bleeding or not, but the pain eased. "Thank you." He thought as the other released his neck, but couldn't say the words.
Then slowly he turned his head, opened up his eyes and looked up at his saver.

OOC|Yeah sure, we give the rescuer role a go. *grins*
Morimar shook his head fiercely to get the rich salty taste from his mouth. The poor beast was drenched. Not to mention, he was covered with sand and blood from a wound. How the wretch had received it was beyond Morimar, but he cared little for how and concerned himself with cleaning it. Daintily, his pink tongue flicked out over the gash and cleaned the sand and saltwater away. It was disgusting to taste a dog's flesh combined with the brine of the sea, but Morimar would not shirk his duty. After all, he had discovered the driftwood-acting dog and would now tend to him. That is, until he awoke and was well enough to tend to himself.
Looking at the expression cast on the canine's face was pitiable. All Morimar could think was whatever a dehydrated dog thought about was not kind. Then again, it couldn't be from lack of water but from loneliness or something else that the poor beast's face was contorted. Then again, it had begun to ease. Could he feel his pain even while drowsing?
Paws scarping the sandy earth, Morimar made a shallow burrow in which Goa might lie until he awoke. At least in the shallow it would be a tad cooler while Morimar meandered off to the tides and found something edible. Before that though...a palm frond. Morimar padded across the white beach to the forest edge and grabbed a low-hanging frond from the tree. The more shade the better. He thought while dragging the tough branch between his teeth before covering over the dog.
He was covered in sand and it was difficult to register what breed or from what place he had drifted. That was alright, Morimar could discover such things at a later date. For now, to fishing!
OOC|Hey, I tried to find your charrie in the character index and couldn't find him. Did you submit 'im? Sorry if you have, but I didn't see anything.

OOC| Sorry, his submitted under the name Guan (Goa is his nickname). And yeah, the saving part wasn't fair of me, I know, but it was on my mind
Dark. When Goa opened his eyes, it was evening already. Though he didn't know if it was day light or night already when he was dragged out of water, but he was sure time had passed since than, because his fur has dried and he felt a bit better. He was waking from a dark, dreamless sleep and didn't even remember the memories he dreamed about earlier. Whomever was the one helping him, it did a good job; by the crawlings in the sand, it had pulled a branch above him, to keep him in shadow, and cleaned he's wound. Goa sniffed around. And it was canine by its scent.
Goa slowly sat up, trying to move his hind leg and looked around. The moon was hiding behind clouds, so he couldn't see too far in the darkness, but the land sure wasn't familiar. The trees were nothing like those he knew, and the air was kind and warm measured to what he was used to. He heard the humans on the ship telling to each other, they were going to land that were somewhat like his home. They must have been far from their destination yet. Sounds. Steps! Someone was coming. Hopefully just his patron, but he'll better be careful. Goa turned towards the way the other was coming from and starred in the shadows.

((Can I come?))
Those footsteps where not that of his saver, but of another being,a male Gray wolf. His main pelt that of a slate like color, his underside white. The sea breezes wrestled with the pitch black fur on his neck and tail, and tasseled the rope around his tail. His paws getting wet from the incoming tides every step he took. The wolf had gotten here by following the sent of two canines,he had no pack and was a loner for the time being.
Standing at 3.6ft.,his head watched the canine that had turned around to face him, snow like orbs intense with curiosity.Slate colored ears flipped forward as Akidu waited for a sound from him, wondering the canine be friend or foe.

OOC|I have no objections to your entry.
Morimar had spent the day wandering the shore for prey and had found tidbits for himself to consume and little else. Now, he returned proudly with a large salty fish gripped gently in his jaws. He had killed the beast by shaking its slippery hide, but did not want to puncture the tender flesh now lest it be filled with sand and be repulsive to whom he cared for.
On nearing the area where he had left the husky mix, he spied the frond had been disturbed and the one beneath must have stirred against. Perhaps this time, he had actually roused enough and Morimar could ascertain how badly hurt he was. If the brute needed water it'd be a long way off with injured legs.
Morimar stiffened. A dark silhouette cast against the velvet of the evening sky made him defensive. Was this some scavenger trying to take advantage of the wounded? His hackles rose slightly and a slight curl to his muzzle showed anything like kindness towards the newcomer. Morimar was already overstepping his bounds by taking care of another, but having to confront two at once would be troublesome. Drawing closer with tail raised high in an alert and wary banner, Morimar dropped the fish with a thud on the earth before staring down Akidu. His hazel eyes were flinty and cold as they analyzed the wolf.
He was greater than Morimar and of unique colouring, but was alone. Morimar could scent no other canine upon his pelt despite the salty scent which obscured most odors save the freshest.
"May I help you?" He asked, trying to keep the growl out of his voice, but his entire figure poised and tense. It was instinct to be protective even if what you were protecting was not your own.

ooc| The thread is free, unless the king's taxed it As Goa's eyes got used to the dark, he saw a large shape emerge from the shadows. Thankfully it was a familiar looking being. A gray wolf, like most of himself, though he had an unusual fur color. Goa stood up and turned towards the wolf. From this distance he couldn't tell if it was the one helping him. The sea water seemed to close up his nostrils. "Greeting would be the best anyway" he thought and opened his mouth to greet him. The wolf drew Goa's attention so much he didn't even realize the other canine approaching him. Only when he dropped the fish beside him, which made him turn around scared. The other one was around Goa in size, but his look was unique. By his scent – which from this short distance Goa did feel – he was the one, who pulled him out of the water. Than the scent of the fish drifted trough his nose and made him realize how hungry he was, but first he needed answers for the questions bothering him the most. "Thank you for the help." He nodded towards the dog standing next to him. "Wha... Who are you?" he corrected his question. He thought it would have been rude to ask 'what are you?' After all he was a canine like him. Still he just hoped the dog didn't get what he wanted to ask originally. "And where am I? What is this place?" He asked again, while he still he kept an eye on the wolf. He wondered what it wanted.

Akidu hadn't came here looking for trouble, but one of the canines thought he had. With that slight curl of the muzzle,he returned his own.He didn't want a fight of any sort, just a place to stay a while till he could find somewhere to truly call home. The tide still lapped at his feet as he continued to walked up to the two others. For one he hated the sea and longed to be in the woods, but for all he knew he could be here a while.
The injured one on the other hand had merely been staring at him.He wanted to go and help him,but the hazel-eyed canine was protecting him.Akidu knew how to help injuries, serving in several wars confirmed that.He watched them for a few more moments, almost deciding to leave and let them be,but instead...
"May I help you?"
The canine had tried to keep the growl out of his voice, but it was still evident to Akidu's ears.Akidu replied.....
"Hello,my name is Akidu.I do not wish to harm anybody,I merely want a place to stay for the meantime.Do you mind if I stay with you guys for a while?"

It pleased Morimar that Goa was on his feet, but there was no pleasure in any of the following antics. He was one the defensive and even if Goa was greater in mass than himself as was Akidu, one was injured and Morimar had heard too many honey-coated speeches to be lured easily. Akidu wanted to help, huh? Prolly so he can fill his belly with the fish I just procured. Morimar thought with a mental sniff of disgust.
The question flashed through Morimar's mind again, an offer of assistance. Morimar needed no help yet the question seemed posed towards him. The nameless one he had dragged ashore was who needed assistance, but Akidu's plea seemed sincere.
His voice still holding a gruff level in it he responded to Akidu. He could answer Goa's questions later. "I am as much a stranger here as you and there is no place to stay." He said flatly. He didn't want to be so forward to say 'No you can't stay here', but was still not inclined to have the great brute's company. Nevertheless, he was trying to appeal and Morimar needed to work on being more permitting. Solitude was a hard road, but being in other's company was just as great a trial. "All the same, you are welcome to remain with us if you so desire." Morimar said, swallowing hard and the gentle baritone of his voice becoming more full as he tried to relax himself.
Pacing a few steps away from the others to watch both carefully he made a sort of bow by lowering his forelegs slightly and curling one beneath him before rising. "To start the introductions, I am Morimar." He said rather stiffly, but still trying.

The dog appeared to be irritated by the wolf and he didn't seem to trust him. But as a few seconds had passed he calmed down and introduced himself to the two of them. He's name was Morimar, or at least he said so. Goa was one of those beings giving their trust easily, but since these were new lands for him, he was more cautious then usually when meeting new ones.
"My name is," started Goa thinking if he may trust the two. He had no problem with the dog. After all, he helped him, but he didn't know anything about the wolf yet. "My name is Joshua." He finished telling his new name, which he never considered as his own, "But you can call me Josh." He can still tell his real name to them if he wanted.
Still he didn't receive any answer to his questions and the other two seemed to be more interested in each other. So Goa looked up at the sky, where for now the clouds were out of the moon's way and it was shining over the whole beach. He raised his left forepaw letting the moonlight shine upon the sign-crystal on his wrist gathering its light and reflecting it like it was gloving. He hoped to get some attention with the little trick, which appeared to be working.

"To start the introductions, I am Morimar."
After Akidu gave a small bow back to Morimar,he walked up till he was only five foot away and sat down on the sand,he had gotten tired of just standing there.
"My name is,"...... "My name is Joshua."....... "But you can call me Josh."
After he finished,Josh put his crystal in the air to where it looked a lot like it was glowing, catching Akidu's attention instantly.Akidu still was watching Morimar out of the corner of his eye,the wolf gaze full of what....distrust,maybe.As he looked at Josh he said,
" Nice crystall....my names Akidu."He then remembered the questions Josh asked earlier,"As of where we are I don't know," then, looking at Morimar he asked,"Do you know where we're at?"

Morimar habitually inclined his head towards both males as they introduced themselves. It seemed polite did it not? Yes, he must try to be polite and cordial. The only problem was that he knew not how.
The dancing light of Josh's trinket caught his attention as it danced like a star dangling near his paw. Quite a unique object indeed, but Morimar quickly contained his fascination. He wasn't going to look stupid in front of Akidu or Joshua when he had just met. Besides, he needed companions terribly if he was going into the social business and out of solitude. Now, to answering the questions.
"You're on Scatterstone Beach...part of it anyway. At least, that's what I've heard said elsewhere." Morimar stammered. He wasn't very confident once his defensiveness faded, but he was trying to help. Trying. "Uh...besides that I can't really tell you much except that you're on a beach if you aren't familiar with one of those. it's just sand along a strip of land near stinking water contaminated with salt and filled with fish and who-knows-what." Augh, how stupid Morimar felt! This was going nowhere. They were just a few strangers trying to make conversation which wasn't moving anywhere.
"Even if you didn't know where you were, what brings both of you here? You obviously aren't seeking solitude since you haven't slunk off yet." He said with a light and hesitant laugh. Memo to self, become more self-assured sometime when alone. No wait! Try not to be alone either and find pack. Yes, all good suggestions. Good, good... Morimar let himself trail off mentally while waiting for the others to answer. After all, in the silence he didn't miss much save more dancing light in that crystal of Josh's. Perhaps sometime Morimar would ask how he got it if they remained companions.

"So Scatterstone." nodded Goa, (or Josh, to stick to how he introduced himself,) and he put his paw down again. "I've never heard of it before."
No, he thought, the name meant nothing to him.
"Don't worry. Though I see these shores for the first time, I know what a beach is." smiled Josh at Morimar when he finished his words, "As for your question; this wasn't my original destination. The ship I was traveling on was hading towards a cold, northern place, just like my homeland was. The ship must have had some problems, which made it sunk. I got stuck in a carrying crate. I nearly drowned. I can only thank my luck that I survived. Again, I didn't want to come to this land."
Josh had nothing else to say. It was bad enough to remember what happened. He looked down at the fish and sat down to eat it, but before, he turned towards Akidu and bowed his head. "I'm glad to meet you too."

Although Josh was casual in his delivery of past events, Morimar could not prevent a frown from overtaking his maw at the idea of almost drowning, not to mention, being on a boat in the first place.
"If I may be so bold, why were you traveling on a boat? Were you captured? What was wrong with your homeland? Are you attached to any humans?" Morimar asked, not sure when to stop asking questions and actually let Joshua answer. After all, there were many things to ask one with such a peculiar arrival.
Glancing down at Josh's paw as he moved the crystal away from the light, he noticed both the fish he had brought lying in the sand and Josh's wound. Folding back his ears he made a soft plea-like invitation: "If you don't mind, do you know how you harmed your leg? Even if not, I entreat you both to have some fish. Food is scarce if you aren't used to catch the slippery devils." He said trying to be polite. Morimar realized he was starting to monopolize the conversation and held back his tongue from asking Akidu invasive questions or from wondering if he knew anything in the art of healing. Those could wait, he supposed.

ooc| Hope you don't mind me posting then
“Attached to humans?” Josh got his head up for this question, “No. Not anymore. I’m here because of them. If you’re really interested, I had a normal life as a sled dog in my home village. I don’t know how the humans called it, and I doubt that any of the dogs here had ever heard about it, but the dogs in our village called it the ‘White Country’. Nothing was wrong with it, until the southern people had arrived. They bought me along with a couple of other dogs and took us to their own villages. There I was loaded on the ship and carried here.” finished Josh, going on with the fish. He was hungry, but he attended to keep the bigger part for Morimar and Akidu.
Josh raised his head back up, when Morimar spoke again. “My leg?” he asked thinking back, “It was...” a small box, he remembered. He was sinking, and the water came in on the breathing holes, while the air was escaping trough the corners of the crate. Only his head was out of the water when something smashed against the crate and shattered it to pieces. Must have one of those pieces stub his leg. He felt it again and slightly shivered. “Ahm... I don’t remember.”
“Thanks for the share.” he said, as he pushed the rest of the fish towards Morimar, “I can’t remember when was the last time I could eat a decent piece of fish.”
