I'm in pain.
I hurt- everywhere.
I can't-- I don't... know why though.
I can't see, it's dark.
I'm afraid, but why?
Where am I?
Who am I?
What is this place?
Why am I so afraid?
The young Jack Russell Terrier slowly opened his deep blue eyes, they were dazed, and he seemed confused. He groaned as he tried to sit up- and his body cried out in protest. He collapsed back to the ground, cringing in more pain as his chin collided with a small stone.
He slowed opened his eyes, it seemed that was the only action that didn't cause the small dog more pain. He looked around, it was dark. He could hear sounds in the background, and he could smell salt. He saw a dark mass to his left, and stood up- he ignored the pain.
He stared up at the massiveness of the cliff before him, and he slowly limped his way to it. He sniffed at it, and after realizing that it wasn't a threat, he calmed down.
But it didn't last long, he looked around more and realized he was alone and he lowered to the ground, his tail between his legs and his ears laid back. The dog's breathing increased and a looked around franticly. He was alone, he didn't like it, he was afraid - and he didn't know why.
He called out in a small and terrified voice, "Hello?"
