{You've Abused Me In a Way That I've Never Known} It had been so long since he had wandered to this road now, he was no longer a pup... and had learned from past mistakes to never ever trust everyone you meet... humans included... yes... he remembered the burning sting of their fire that foced his nerves to sing a symphony of agony, his legs to twitch and force his body forward, his body to convulse from the purr blood curdling pain that destroyed his thought and sent hiom barrling away as though in a madness. It had been so long since then... his fur had grown back now. Quietly the large but young wolf made his way out of the treeline to stare silently at the muddy old road that seemed to stretch out for eons of time beyond this plain of dreary existance. Black ears lined with gold slowly flicked back against a dark skull while golden eyes narrowed a little "Hmm... the human scent is almost non existant... all the better" with a scoff he hauled himself forward, his molten gold markings catching the dim lighting of the overcast hidden sun and striking any who saw him still for a moment. He was large but strangely skinny for one of his species, resembling more of perhaps a Jackel then the wolf that was his birthright. Scoffing a little Anubis turned his eyes sharply upward as several crows squawked and took flight from their perches and roosts, cawing and calling in a ravenous manner. "Parhaps... to a carcass."He mumbled softly, exhaling softly through his chops and then finally chose to ignore the birds and opted to continue on his way, grunting a little in disgust as mud and grime collecting in the fur of his paws and in between his toes, making his steps to sound squishy each time he moved. Ignoring this he continued to press on to where he did not know... but perhaps if he continued on this dreary road.... perhaps he would find something. {When The Madness Stops Then You Will Be Alone}

"You there!"
Perhaps he had strayed too far from his comfortable boundaries, but none of that seemed to matter when it came to a possible ally. How he'd gotten from that port to here, he didn't know, but really; did it matter? As long as he got food one way or another, everything was fine by him.
It was natural instict, especially for a dog of his experiance, to fear a wolf, but this too didn't matter to Joel now as he trotted forward, closer to the other. Technically, they were both dogs; what did it matter either way?
The Jack Russel Terrier paused a ways away, deciding that to come closer might very well spell death in some grotesque way, so he stood apart, just to make sure. "Looking for scraps?" From this distance, it looked it. Though every creature seemed hungry to his old eyes these days.

The same gold trimmed ears flicked sharply as the voice that obviously belonged to a dog called out to him, turning golden eyes in the creature's direction Anubis was silent for a while longer, contemplating what to exactly respond with. Finally he flicked his tail a little, eyes turning to the sun as the gold patches in his fur shimmered a little in it's light.
"Not really... Just wandering around is all."
He had no errand, No Agenda, No plan at all really... why he was on the road he wasn't even sure himself... but since when did every action deserve a purpose? Not often did he do anything that served a purpose of some sort... he just did so because he felt like it and nothing more.

Joel tilted his scruffy head some, his two rings dangling from his ear jingling some. He frowned in contemplation as he studied the other, before trotting closer. "I see. You look a tad lost, an' I don't mean in the physical sense." He voiced his thoughts honestly, taking a seat against the hard ground. "You got a place to go, son?" He asked, rolling his aching shoulders some. Age was starting to wear on him. He was becoming more and more tired recently, but he payed no heed. Death would take him when it wanted him, but no sooner.
