The sun began to creep up from the horizon, Tank was just waking up from a full night's rest. He got up and stretched. Tank spent a moment taking in the beauty of the sun creeping up the pass ever so slowly. The pass was muddy and wet due to the showers of yesterday. Tank rose to his feet, shook the mud off and began to search for a meal. Last night Tank was to fatigued from the journey here to hunt, so now his stomach was churning.
The big male Rottweiler began his morning hunt.
"Hmmm... What should I have for breakfast? A hare? A cat?"
Tank thought to himself as he put his cold wet nose to the muddy ground.

The brown hue of the damp earth stained the white paws of the female husky as she ran down the muddy pathway. She had been running for most of the night, and had continued into the early hours of the morning. The raindrops, the only remainder of last night's storm, still clung to the to guard hairs on the female's back. The muddy pathway was now scattered with puddles of the same, earthy-brown hue. The husky kept running, seeming not to care when she accidentally trod in one such puddle, splattering droplets of muddy water on her fluffy white chest and belly. Sakari had definitely looked better, however, her appearance was not a real concern to her at this point.
Slowing her galloping gait down to a leisurely trot, she noticed a small growl of protest from her stomach. The female sighed, knowing that she would probably not find much sustenance in these parts. Undoubtedly most of the wild game would have retreated to higher grounds to escape the rains of the night before. "Oh well," she thought to herself, "Guess it'll have to wait till later."
Sakari slowed her pace once again, this time down to a walk, when she noticed a faint scent on the wind. The scent was that of another dog, however, whether this dog was friend or foe was as of yet, unknown. Sakari wondered if she should run ahead to meet this stranger, perhaps she could make a new friend in this dreary place? However, her caution held her at a slow walk, if this stranger was dangerous, she would be running right toward them. Her apprehension caused her to proceed at her leisurely trot once again, slow enough to react quickly if the stranger turned aggressive, but quick enough to get her moving.

Tank started to sniff the ground searching for the odor of a small animal to eat for breakfast. Suddenly a strong scent hit his nose. It wasn't the smell of a hare or of a cat, but a fellow canine. He continued searching for breakfast ignoring the scent of the passer-by. He knew that dogs frequented the pass to make the journey between pack lands and the common areas. Just then he saw a white and black blur run past him and it startled him. Tank jumped with surprise. It was a female. Tank began to trot to catch up to her as she ran through the mud.
"Hey! Why are you in such a rush?"
Tank yelled to the husky that was quickly gaining distance away from him. Tank started to run to try to catch up to her. His ears flopping in the wind and his tongue flailing out the side of his maw.

Sakari had quickly trotted past the other dog, which she identified as a male rottweiler. She wondered if the dog had even noticed her when she turned and saw him trotting after her, his large ears flopping and his tongue hanging out the side of his jowls.
"Hey! Why are you in such a rush?"
The female stopped and turned to get a good look at the stranger. At first glance he appeared innocent, almost quite goofy in fact. However, Sakari did not let her guard down, she furrowed her brow. Rottweilers were strong dogs with dangerous capabilities, it would not be wise for a smaller dog such as herself to simply throw caution to the wind. Instead, Sakari held a firm posture, her ears erect and her icy gaze glued to the large male before her, intent on standing her ground if things turned nasty.
"I'm simply taking a brisk run, sir."
The female was content with her answer, despite the fact that it was completely untrue. The truth however, was that Sakari had gotten herself rather lost in the pass and was trying her best to find her way, and Sakari was not about to admit that she was just plain lost.

"I'm simply taking a brisk run, sir."
Tank saw right through her statement. He knew this pass like the back of his paw. It was very easy for one to get lost and confused with most of the terrain looking the same. One would think they were running in a circle.
He was panting with his tongue hanging out of his maw. The slender female in front of him was amazingly pretty. She had a certain aurora around her.
"Are you sure you aren't lost? It's very easy to do so around here"
Tank said this not knowing how she would respond. Would she take up the defense or admit her shortcoming?

"Are you sure you aren't lost? It's very easy to do so around here"
Sakari's tail curled up and her hackles raised a bit at this statement, but she calmed herself and let out a small chuckle.
"Heh, lost? Who said anything about me being lost?
Surely Sakari was not about to let this oaf outsmart her and try to make her feel like the foolish one. She slowly circled the panting male, analyzing him from every angle, to see if he was really any threat to her.

Tank had forgotten about his breakfast. He was more interested in the female standing before him. He knew she was lost but didn't want to hurt her pride. Tank used the pass for traveling from Geera to the cemetary. He had been a frequenter of the cematary before he became a member of the Geera pack.
"My name is Tank, I belong to the Geera pack. I frequent the pass here and know my way around quite well."
Tank had forgotten to introduce himself and he hoped he didn't offend the young female. The pass had been his second home. It brought back a lot of memories about his past.
