She had only been too clever. The fox was carrying a bag of goodies and was running away from some humans. The trick worked so well, that she couldn't help but get bored with it. Which was just as well. Word of the fox and her crafty ways must have spread, her puppy-eyed stare almost didn't fool them. Crafty hadn't been here for very long, which meant that there weren't a lot of people. She snorted with a toss of her wig, so very proud of that item. But it made her a bit easy to spot out. Once a human had been tricked once, they weren't fooled twice. She blinked. The humans weren't too far behind her, they were still giving her a chase? Whatever was in this bag must be worth something. Crafty smirked as she gave a sudden energy burst and bolted away.
When she finally loss sight of them, she sat down and opened the bag, to see some jewelry. What?! She sighed... why was this so important? She was close to tossing it, but decided she could trade it in for food. She picked up the bag with her mouth and started heading down the muddy path, not really doing much. And it was quiet, it didn't seem as though anyone was traveling....

Drimme wander aimlessly along the pass. She had just gotten a few scraps from some humans on the street and she was quite full.
"Just another day as a lone wanderer, "she said confidently puffing out her chest but the facade didn't last long. Her ears drooped and she hung her head as she went. "Oh who am I kidding?" she grumbled. She flicked her white tail side to side as she padded along. She was lonely, and being a loner was really getting depressing. At first it had been exciting, but now it was just tiresome.
Suddenly ahead of her she heard paw steps. Drimme wasn't alone anymore. Her own curiosity got the better of her and she ran forward to see where the noise was coming from. It was only a fox, but a weird fax at that. On top of her head was a wig and in her mouth a bag. She hadn't spotted Drimme yet and was making her way whether she knew it or not toward Drimme.
"Hello!" Drimme called sounding friendly. She didn't care who this fox was, all she cared about was that this might be a good opportunity to make a friend.

(if it's all right, may I join too?)
Kait wandered slowly along the path looking both ways for a familiar land mark. She could find nothing. Yet again, the setter had gotten herself lost. This wasn't fair! She'd just wanted to take a look around this new place before hopping back on another ship at Rakine port, but she'd wandered too far of and was lost. She couldn't even hear the waves anymore.
"Hello?" she called out. She heard a stick snap loudly somewhere from within the forest around her and decided that shouting in this place might not be the best idea. She had no idea what kind of preditors would be here. Instead, she kept her pace, walking along through the trees and hoping to find someone or something helpfull.
"Hello!" The voice came from a small distance behind the setter. Was it addressing her? Or someone else? Kait turned around and then caught the scent of another. There were two of them, maybe friends, one greeting the other. They probably hadn't even heard her cry. Oh well. Maybe they could help anyway.
She bounded in the direction of the voice and found a dog and a fox. It didn't look like they knew each other very well, but Kait didn't care. "Um...excuse me," she said, approaching the two. "Do either of you know the way back to the port?"

(sure you can join. I don't see why not)
"Um...excuse me, Do either of you know the way back to the port?"
Drimme turned her head to face the dog who had posed the question. It was a setter a little shorter than her. Drimme gave a weird doggish yet welcoming doggish grin.
" Hi, sorry I'm not sure where the port is, but I'd be willing to help you find it," Drimme chimed in with an upbeat tone. "I'm sure we could find it if we worked as a team. I myself am not very familiar with these parts. I'm not sure who my 'companion here is, but I'm not sure if she'd help." She turned back to the strange fox who had been quite quiet since Drimme had seen her ahead of her. It seems like everyone's around here today, her own thoughts drifted off slightly, but she quickly reclaimed her thoughts and returned her attention to the other dog. "Oh and my name's Drimme. If you don'd me askin' what's yours?"

"If you don'd me askin' what's yours?"
The dog seemed extreamly friendly. This could prove to be a benefit to the setter.
"I'm Kait. Kait Nightinggale. Nice to meet you Drimme." She smiled politely and looked at the fox. She was a little taken back by the wig that the creature was wearing, but she didn't let that bother her.
"And I don't belive I know you're na..." She stoped. Something in the bag the fox carried caught her eye. A shine, just a small glitter through the opening. The setter almost began to salivate. If that was what she thought it was, it might just be her ticket out of here. The sailors generally didn't like a random dog apearing on board, but if she brought gifts she'd be guarenteed a ride.
"What's that in your bag?" she asked trying to keep her voice at a normal tone.

((Lol, I had given up on this topic... I came on and saw activeness.. *drools*)) "Hello!" a dog called to her cheerfully, Crafty froze, her eyes locked onto the dog, but the surprise left her face and she grinned with the back still in her teeth. Crafty dipped her head in response.
"Um...excuse me, Do either of you know the way back to the port?" another voice called, Crafty turned her head to face the other canine, not setting the bag down.
" Hi, sorry I'm not sure where the port is, but I'd be willing to help you find it," the first dog chimed in with an upbeat tone. "I'm sure we could find it if we worked as a team. I myself am not very familiar with these parts. I'm not sure who my 'companion here is, but I'm not sure if she'd help."
This dog seemed rather pleasant, and it appeared to be her turn to begin speaking... she lowered the bag to her feet.
"Oh and my name's Drimme. If you don'd me askin' what's yours?" the dog added in quickly, the fox guessed that she was talking to both of them. They were friendly enough, but they were fast in their conversation. Changing the subject quickly.
"I'm Kait. Kait Nightinggale. Nice to meet you Drimme.... And I don't belive I know you're na..." She stopped. Crafty instantly knew that she saw what was in the bag, she knew only too well what that glitter in your eyes mean. "What's that in your bag?"
She chuckled, putting her paw on the bag. "I'm Crafty.... known as the Wig-wearing-fox." she said, grinning. "And don't you think it's rude to ask a stranger what they're carrying? You could at least wait until you finished asking them their name. And I'm sure a port would be easy enough to find..."

Kait blushed and dropped her eyes in embarasment. "I appologize for my rudeness. I seem to have gotten carried away. These are rather desperate times for me, you must understand." She looked back up at the fox. "It's a pleasure to meet you Crafty." The setter sat back on her haunches and keep her mouth shut. It was wrong of her to get so wrapped up in her own problems that she was willing to use these two strangers. She couldn't do that. If it came down to it, she would just leave them behind, but she wouldn't take advantage of them. She wouldn't be like...him. That would never happened. Kait shuttered at the thought of her former owner and shook her head from side to side as if to try and toss the memory from her mind.
Regaining her composure, the setter looked back up at the others.

Drimme cocked her head to the side in confusion. She had none of nothing wrong to come of a little curiosity. Maybe it wasn't just curiosity? Whatever. Back to the reall world. No time to be lost in thoughts.
"So yer name's Crafty. Sounds like a suitable name for a fox." She laughed softly but stopped to check the look on the strange fox's face. She had meant what she said jokingly and hoped she wouldn't offend. She wagged her tail and gave another little grin. "So how does one such as you come into possesion of such a wig as that?" She gestured with her bkack paw to the mop, or what she looked like a mop, on the foxes head. "I don't believe I've seen one on a fox before." Or on any four-legged creature for that matter, but she left that though to herself. No use in being so skeptical.

"I apologize for my rudeness. I seem to have gotten carried away. These are rather desperate times for me, you must understand." Kait seemed a bit embarrassed, but Crafty wasn't really offended. She looked at Crafty and continued, "It's a pleasure to meet you Crafty."
Crafty smiled at her, she met a few canines who were quick to speak, but none of them seemed to act so humiliated when they realized what they said. This Kait might actually need some help.
"So yer name's Crafty. Sounds like a suitable name for a fox." Crafty grinned at Drimme, she hit the nail straight on. Even though Crafty wasn't really her name, just the nickname everyone called her by, her real name had no good memories to it, but her nicknamed carried a thousand. "So how does one such as you come into possession of such a wig as that?" Drimme lifted her paw to gesture to the wig. "I don't believe I've seen one on a fox before."
"Well," she said to Drimme. "I take it right off the human."
She smiled again, hoping Drimme wouldn't take the joke as if Crafty thought she was dimwitted. "So where are you two heading?" she asked, changing the subject.

"As I said before, I'm trying to find the port," Kait said in responce to the question. "I came down this path, hoping to explore the land a little bit before I left again, and I seem to have found myself lost. I can't stand to be on land for very long. It drive me crazy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you could at least point me in a general direction...?"

(I guess I'll reply to keep this thread active. ^_^ Then it'll be Drimme's turn.)
"As I said before, I'm trying to find the port," Crafty nodded trying to remember where she last saw a port. "I came down this path, hoping to explore the land a little bit before I left again, and I seem to have found myself lost. I can't stand to be on land for very long. It drive me crazy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you could at least point me in a general direction...?" A cool breeze came through, Crafty swished her fluffy tail to the side. "The port eh. . .?" she asked, knowing she past through, she recalled the distinct smell of fish. "I think I know where that is."
