((Okies, I'm going to give you guys yet another acceptance thread to keep up with! *MWAHAHAHA* . . . lol, just kidding, I'm just excited to roleplay in Arnlan again. Sina's Profile)) It was sprinkling, Sina's soft coat rustled in the wind. She was right at the border of the famous Arnlan, nervousness and excitement slowly crawled up her spine. She planned to join Arnlan, a big pack, she wasn't sure if she could do it, partly because her family was having problems joining a much smaller, mostly unknown, pack. How could she possibly hope to join this big pack? Shaking her head, she reminded herself why she was going to try to join this particuliar pack. She wanted to help fight Sallin. Her tail flicked to the side as she threw her head back and howled so the pack would acknowledge her presence, and hopefully wouldn't consider her as a threat. She turned her head to look behind herself, glancing at the small forming puddles. She had to join, she wasn't sure what she'd do if she didn't. The timber sat down, looking down the steep hill.

Massive paws sent rain drops flying through the air, their previous gathering area disterbed and disoriented. Each step NightBlood took sent a bolt of pain to her head from her back leg. The injury was flaring once again, but she fought through it. It was too much to be ignored, but she had a job to do, so she tried in vain to keep her mind off the pain.
The Arnlanian Sentry had been on patrol for a while now, walking just inside the tree line. Her vision was begining to dialate and fade in and out from the pain. Every so often, she would shake her head roughly to get her vision back. This was rediculous. She couldn't work if she couldn't see. Slowly, she was begining to realise the significance of the loss of her left eye sight.
Durring one of her bouts of blindness, a howl made her raise her head instead of shake it. It was a howl requesting acceptance. A female. Near the border. Not too far away. In fact, if she was able to see, she would probably be within eye sight. Night took off at a slow gallop, growling at the pain from her leg as she limped. She shook her head once more in annoyance and her vision returned in her right eye and she jumped out of the way before running into a sapling tree.
The female was young. No more or less than a year old. And a foot shorter than NightBlood. She was brown and blonde: too light for her taste in Arnlanian wolves. The shadows called for black and darker collors like that. Oh well, the Sentry would not judge in color alone. Perhaps there was more to her than met the eye.
"Who goes there?" Night growled at the female as she slowed to a stop before coming to the border where the trees dissapeared. "State your name and business here, outsider."

"Who goes there?" a voice growled behind her, Sina turned her head toward the border to see a dark wolf looking as though she was in pain. "State your name and business here, outsider."
Sina blinked, that was fast, and she was rather impressed. The wolf didn't take very long to look her over, but judging the lack of her left eye Sina guessed she was a little bit short tempered. Which was perfectly fine, just meant she had to be careful. "My name is Sina." she replied. "And I wish to join your pack." She had not the slightest quiver of fear in her voice. Sina tilted her head and awaited for her response, she wasn't sure how she had to prove to this wolf how she could be helpful to the pack, she was a rogue so she most certainly knew how to fight if needed.

{{Night's left eye isn't missing. It just has a visible cut on the pupil. That's why she's blind. XD }}
The yearling didn't seem frightened at all, which was amazing to NightBlood. This one was brave despite her frail appearance. THAT'S why Night never judged right off the bat. Everyone had a facade, an outer appearance that made them unreadable. The only difference was how thick one's mask was against another's. One could have their emotions hanging from their shoulder and someone else might have mastered the art of self control.
With the return of her sight, the pain of Night's back leg ebbed slowly away. The giant waited until it was half gone. That was the point in which she could gain control of her expression. The pain in her face seemed to vanish and her muscles relaxed. The pain was barely a pinprick when she answered.
"Alright, Sina. Why?"
As always, she was completly blunt. NightBlood could only tell how blunt she was when she actually thought about it- and that was only when she was playing with someone's mind. She wasn't in the mood right now.

((Ohhh I'm sorry.. lets just forget that part... ;D))
"Alright, Sina. Why?" the wolf asked a rather important question, Sina nodded, glad so far this wolf didn't show any hostile emotions.
"Well, for one I'd rather not live alone my entire life. . ." Sina started with her least important reason. "I've past by different packs, not one was I ever so impressed with, I think you're pack will be hard for Sallin to knock down, and your pack has the best chance to end the war in your favor. I'm not coming here out of fear, I just want to give that pack a piece of my mind. . . I don't know if you're going to fight them anytime soon, but with Sallin's lust for power I know that they will try to take your land too."
She took a breath, lowering her eyes. Sallin's need for power changed the very course of her life before she was even born. Changed her parents into idiots.
"My parents set their sights too low, I have to be honest, I came here also to prove to them that courtship isn't the only way into a pack. . . if they ever find me." She looked at the wolf square in the eye, her face full of determination.

So... this one wanted to help fight against Sallin? Good. They could always use more wolves with a grudge. But this one was small... didn't look as if she could handle herself all that well. If it came down to it, she could be a Scout or a Sentry. Maybe even a hunter. But there was a chance that she would never see battle.
"I came here also to prove to them that courtship isn't the only way into a pack. . . if they ever find me."
Now there was a sentance Blood could investigate. ShadeBlood had found her, so there was a chance this female's family could find Sina as well. But what was this about courtship? She had only heard the word once, knew what it meant, but didn't like to use the term herself. Wolves used courtship to get into packs? She'd never heard of such a thing happening, but that didn't meant it didn't happen.
"What other ways are there, then? What would you consider appropriate ways for gaining entrance into a pack?"

"What other ways are there, then? What would you consider appropriate ways for gaining entrance into a pack?"
Sina looked at her with slight surprise, she should have expected her to respond to her last comment. Sometimes she would get mad at herself for acting like a stupid teenager and expect things to come easy, but that's what she was. A teenager, things weren't always easy, and with her past, she shouldn't be forgetting.
"You come straight and honest, and if you're turned down, you don't give up all hope of ever finding another pack and try to bribe the alphas." Sina said, after a few moments of actually considering what she would look for if someone were to join her pack. She wanted to ask her what she thought, but she figured personal questions can wait until after this wolf made her decision.

"Good answer." Night said with a grin. After a second, she continued to interrigate her other statement.
"You hinted that Arnlan and Sallin might go to war, so obviously you know Sallin's reputation. What can you do to help us if we ever do go to war? What are your skills?"
NightBlood sat down and waited for an answer. She suddenly realized she hadn't given her name to the younger female. No matter. If she ended up being a Sallin spy, it would be for the best if she escaped... IF.
{{AHH! SO SHORT! *hides face in shame* XD }}

((It's ok! ;D I don't hate people for post length... I just get annoyed with one liners... so you're good.))
"Good answer." and the wolf grinned at her, Sina was beginning to feel comfortable, she wasn't thinking that she had made her decision in her favor yet, but Sina wasn't getting the 'unwelcome hint'.
"You hinted that Arnlan and Sallin might go to war, so obviously you know Sallin's reputation. What can you do to help us if we ever do go to war? What are your skills?" Sina nodded, this was what was to be suspected, she was wondering if she was going to ask that. Sallin was the base of her anger, she could control her temper, but she spent her life blaming Sallin for her life's problems, mostly because she probably wouldn't have gone through them if they hadn't trampled over her family so long ago.
"I can fight." she said, smiling to show her teeth. "I can hunt, so basically I know how to survive."
It stopped raining, and the wind gave a slightly harder blow.

The strong wind ruffled Night's already scruffy coat. She flicked an ear, satisfied with the answer, but still sceptical about the young wolf's ability to take care of herself in a fight. Then again, she had survived alone for some time. If she couldn't truely fend for herself, she would have died within the first month of her being alone.
The giant's mind obviously wasn't agreeing with itself. Instead, she silently compromised with her thoughts. She would watch the pup for a while. If she proved true to her words, she could stay. If not, she would either die of whatever trial she came to, or the black and brown wolf would chase her off herself.
NightBlood turned her head and snorted at the persistant breeze. The wind simply retaliated with another strong blast. She turned back to Sina and stood back up.
"We'll see," she said with only the slighted sceptisism in her voice, "Let's get out of this wind."
The older wolfess turned to the trees and started walking back across the border. Turning her head toward the tan female, she added as an after thought, "It would be wise to familiarize yourself with the land. It would be wiser still, to know that if you are lying and belong to Sallin or are spying for a different pack, you won't live long enough to share our secrets."

"We'll see," That was future tense, did that mean she was accepted? "Let's get out of this wind." Sina smiled and nodded, standing up to catch up with the wolf. She felt light on her feet as she walked quickly toward her. She turned her head to look back at Sina. "It would be wise to familiarize yourself with the land. It would be wiser still, to know that if you are lying and belong to Sallin or are spying for a different pack, you won't live long enough to share our secrets." Sina was surprised, but nodded quickly, she remembered that they were still practically strangers.
"Ok." was the only thing she could think of to say, but she wasn't just tossing what she said aside, she took the older wolf's advice, was a little worried that she might suspect her being a spy because she wasn't. "What's your name?" It seemed like a silly question after their conversation, but Sina realized that she never actually gave her name. The entire conversation had been about Sina. But that was ok for now, the she-wolf needed to know more about her before even considering letting her join. The wolf never actually said she was in, perhaps she was going to have her do some things, or maybe introduce her to the alphas? Questions about the wolf began to bubble in her head.

Night grinned once more at the young one's words. She was alert, she'd give her that. "NightBlood, but since we're pack mates, you can call me Night. I'd rather it be 'Blood', but I have a cousin who resides here as well, ShadeBlood."
The giant walked around a wide tree and halted for a moment, waiting for Sina to catch up with her. "Karolek and Sofika are twin Alphas. You'll be starting out as a Subordinate, but as one of my jobs is to find out which member is suited for which rank, perhaps you may soon leave that title behind you."
It was the basic bit of information every pack member needed. Since she guessed Sina had done her research about Arnlan, she didn't press on her the individual characteristics of the Alphas.

"NightBlood, but since we're pack mates, you can call me Night. I'd rather it be 'Blood', but I have a cousin who resides here as well, ShadeBlood." Sina smiled, Nightblood was a cool name, and she was called her packmate, so she was a wolf from Arnlan now.
"Karolek and Sofika are twin Alphas. You'll be starting out as a Subordinate, but as one of my jobs is to find out which member is suited for which rank, perhaps you may soon leave that title behind you." Karolek and Sofika. . . she had to remember that, she'd heard wild stories about the alphas, normally they had different names to it. She was going to be a subordinate, and Blood seemed to have faith that Sina was going to obtain a rank soon. "Hopefully. . ." she replied. "Are there lots of subordinates?" She was a little worried that she'd be one of the only wolves in Arnlan without a rank.

"There are over twenty members. Most are Subordinates." Night said with forced tollerance. She needed to get back to her border patrol and stop playing twenty-questions with the yearling. Being the only Sentry, there was no possible way she could over-do her job.
"If you don't have anymore questions, I need to get back on patrol."

"There are over twenty members. Most are Subordinates." Sina blinked, that was a lot. Well she shouldn't feel too lonely.
"If you don't have anymore questions, I need to get back on patrol." Sina nodded quickly, embarrassed that she took so much of Nightblood's time.
"Ok. . . bye Blood!" she called to her, walking quickly away from the border, she had a lot of exploring to do.
