Sofika typed this, I'm responding, because for some reason I can't respond to the original thread.
[The time is near.
No longer will Arnlan stand as an unstable pack, were the members barely know one another. Something has to be done to bring them back together and to reform Arnlan to it's former glory. Oh if Sallin could see them now... what a perfect time to strike if they so wished to.
Sofika slammed a paw upon the mucky earth and looked up to the sky with an angry growl. The rain poured down, soaking the land and melting the snow. The territory was fairly untidy, with trees sulking in the dark daylight, leaves hanging limp on the branches, puddles forming underfoot.
By neglecting the problem instead of addressing it head on she had allowed Arnlan to fall to such a helpless state. Allowing herself to think that the members would band together without encouragement... how wrong she was. Thunder rolled across the clouds and the alpha lowered her head.
Plans had to be made and then had to be enforced. With the help of a newly appointed adviser, Sofika knew that Arnlan could be restored. They just had to get rid of the impurities first. A pack meeting had been suggested and was an idea she was not taking fondly of. However, as Alex had said- it was necessary. Essential. To see who the truly loyal were.
Sofika glanced around. The shadows weren't so keen today. They licked about the gnarled trunks of the trees, leaving a small circle around her slender self. Her long fur hung from her body, drenched in rain. The temperature was relatively lower than normal however she was not discouraged and remained standing. Alex would be here soon and then they would discuss the pack meeting.
Once they had a clear idea of who was true to Arnlan... then uniting the pack as one would begin. She had come prepared for this meeting with the adviser of ideas of pack unity. Together their two great minds would form the perfect solution. Thorough discussion and consideration for the packs best interest was necessary.
Without the presence of Karolek his other half had decided that things would go alot smoother. He never seemed serious enough for these matters. Sofika was the more focused of the two in these issues. He would be afterwards informed of the plan so that he knew what was going on. There was nothing worse than not knowing what was going on in your own pack- she was aware.
Standing in the small secluded area the alphess waited on the arrival of the adviser. She anticipated that everything would go well and that they would be able to agree on the best course of action to take. Soon... the time was... approaching... ]

Alex had done it again; she'd allowed her mind to wander and her thoughts to explode in vivid color. She'd been staring at the rather large trees that towered over Arnlan for hours now, could have stared for hours more, though the small voice in the back of her mind whispered softly, and brought her mentality back into full awareness.
Da, she was late.
Quickly she raised from her spot, the slender runt shifting and looking in the direction of the scent left behind. She was late, and thus Arlan itself was late, and falling further into a corruption they didn't see just yet. However, Alex saw it, she could see every sore, every ache of the land in a thoughtful way, a mental way that had nothing to do with the sulking trees. In fact, how she saw things, had nothing to do with Arnlan physically.
No, the scholar only thought about Arnlan mentally.
So many different bodies, so many scents, and she barely knew them. It was time to get to know them, to know them inside and out, in a way so intimate it could have been gauged inappropriate. Yet, it had to be done to keep back the traitors and to shove out the unworthy. Though she was no alpha, she felt, strongly, that she had a duty to attend to. She wouldn't let this pack fall any further into disgrace. It was time to kick it up a notch.
Slowly, the small black wolf entered the area Sofika occupied, and glancing around with her unusually cool and blank expression, she took pleasure in seeing that this meeting would consist of just Sofika and herself. Not that Karolek wasn't just as important to speak with, merely, his mind wandered and he was much like a playful pup, unable to focus for a long amount of time. Who knew how long she'd be within this clearing, in the slithering darkness with Sofika? Speaking of the fates of several useless pound of dead wolf weight?
Slowly, she continued still, until she invaded Sofika's personal space, and lifting her muzzle slightly, she would nudge her nose against Sofika's cheek in a sigh of submission and respect and after and if the action is completed she would slowly stalk back a few steps...and sit.
It was time to begin...
"This meeting, it must be mandatory," she spoke, her accent thick yet her common tongue was getting better, "Everyone, everyone, must come. Those who refuse must die," Though she paused, backtracked and coughed gently, "Must...leave."
She had to remember she was in a different place now, a more soothing pack, one less harsh and cruel.
"There will be a test of faith, perhaps a hunt of some sort. Make them catch a moose as a unit, a team, yet we, us three, will not participate. You, me, your bother, we will watch from the shelter of the shadows as they work, to make sure they WORK...you understand, da?"
Of course she understood.
"We must watch their mannerisms, how they hunt, how they speak, any twitches, any signs of disrespect for the order they have been given. Those who show promise will be rewarded, should be rewarded, those who do not..."
Well, that was up to Sofika to decide.
"Any best who dares disrespect must be made example of, we must keep the glory, regain the glory of Arnlan, and we are a mystery to those who do not know us. NOT to each other."
And then, she was silent.

There was only so many ways that Sofika could think of that could seperate the traitors from the loyal. The idea of eliminating those who showed dishonour was implanted in her mind and it seemed the only course of action to take. Just as she began to review her thoughts, Alex entered the space. Sofika turned her head and allowed the act of touching her cheek to take place. Her spots seemed to illuminate on the touch of the advisor. She was hugely grateful for the offered assistance in this matter.
Perking her ears to listen, she too, took a seat infront of Alex. The alpha allowed her to speak and she lifted her maw slightly showing her complete attention to what was being said. Yes, a pack hunt... many aspects of each wolf can be detected from such an act. As Alex said, they way they communicate, speak to one another. Lately, the alphess mind had been allowed to wander into frustration from these issues. Thankfully everything seemed so much more simpler when told to her.
Sofika flicked an ear to the word die.
It was the word that had rolled through her thoughts countless times.
" It is agreed that we will hold a pack meeting. The fate of those who do not present themselves has plagued my mind these recent days. I have to take into account their rights. They are not to be subject to torture nor will we take away their right to life if they do not come forth. Only those who commit acts of murder or torture unto anyone else in this pack is subject to such rights being removed... "
Sofika lifted her head a little and looked over Alex to the darkness. So many faces lay shrouded in the black blanket. That blanket had to be removed from over Arnlan so that they may unite as one and come together to form a stronger, more successful pack of wolves.
" Instead... " she paused momentarily, sighed gently and then spoke again, " those who do not show up will be found and their place here will be reinforced into their mind. If they fail to comply then they will be demoted to omega, where the other members of the pack will surely take it upon themselves to teach them a lesson about... "
The alphess began to overthink everything that she had just said, evaluating and trying to come up with a more reasonable solution. Was she being too fair to the members? Where they walking all over her good intentions? If so, then those doing so would be the ones to be made an example of.
" You say that we should make an example of those who fail to come to us at the meeting. Those who are identified to be taking advantage of my good will, then it is they who shall be made an example of... The pack members need to see what happens to someone who tries to walk over the rulers of Arnlan... "
Rolling her shoulders she gave time for Alex and herself to think everything through. Silence fell on her side. Sofika was curious of Alex's take on what she had said. Sofika sincerely hoped that no one would bring them to the point of taking away that individuals right and torturing before murdering them.
Murder is such a powerful word and it was not a title Sofika thought would be one to hold proud.
But murder was everywhere. You murdered the weaker animals for your meals; to survive.
For Arnlan to survive...
... would it to, turn to murder?

Alex was confused and amused from Sofika's take on her words. Murder, torture, no. They wouldn't do that, the deaths would have to be swiftly completed so that the bodies could be drug out and thrust outside the boarders of Arlan. Left as they were, they'd rot and stink and sully the white colored soil. Though Sofika, instead, wished to demote and make the other memebers drive the traitor into submission. That too, could work.
Alex wouldn't say anything else on the subject of killing. The cruelty that lurked just beneath the surface, her cold unfeeling gaze as it was steady and attentive upon her alpha told the other woman that she could have, would have done it, without hesitation and efficiently. There was a dark and chilling intellegence within her, something scary, something mysterious, and certainly dangerious. Slowly, she'd lift a paw to flex the digits, bending them beneath her chin in a motion that imitated a human scratching. It was door poorly, but the fact that she could fake it that much was something.
"I understand. Then, we will not slaughter the useless," Yet, she thought inwardly, slowly turning her gaze to the great trees that surronded them, "Will we have the hunt then, soon very soon. We will allow a certain amount of time for our people to gather. After that, we will send them off. They will bring what they find back to us in the very spot they were called too, we will evaluate what was gathered. The bigger the game, the more we can assume they worked together. If one or two wolves bring us back rabbits we can assume they worked alone."
However that wouldn't really be a problem, because they'd be spying on the wolves as they worked reguardless.
"Are you conserned of anything else? If not, let us begin. Our hard working people have suffered long enough, we will not carry the worthless, the weak of heart, or the lazy no longer."

" In a few hours time we will meet by the northern border. The biggest game can be found further south of the pack lands. We will then, once the hunt if over, meet in the clearing behind the food store. It is here we will see what they have caught... "
Step by step she had this all worked out in her head. This is what they would do. She had to meet with Karolek before this hunt began. The next few hours would give her time to do this and explain the situation to him. That is, if he didn't already know the sitation. He shouldn't be too upset with her for holding this meeting without him. After all, the twins were never that far away from each other...
" We will leave then, Alex and return to the northern border. Give them time to eat their food and for us to talk and discuss what we have observed. I have some announcements to make... and I believe we will have more announcements once this activity is over. "
" I have no further concerns no. We should depart now and prepare ourselves for the hunt. I will call you in a few hours to the northern border. I must first speak with my brother. "
If Alex had nothing else to ask the alphess would sink into the shadows and vanish from the scene and make a haste way to find Karolek.
