Karolek had decided that he was bored; this was a problem to which there could only be one solution.
Messing with his packmates.
Perhaps it wasn't he friendliest of ideas, but he meant no real harm by it -- maybe he'd just give them a scare, or confuse them a bit. Have a conversation with them about the weather...or something interesting like that. He had never really considered the weather to be a subject of interest, but it was certainly better than sitting around here doing nothing at all.
At the present time, Karolek was wandering through the forest, almost floating across the ground, so silent was he -- but to him, the feat was unimpressive. He'd been doing it all his life, after all; the wolf needed some sort of talent. He hadn't seen Sofika around for quite some time, but he wasn't particularly worried about his sister's whereabouts. If she was in trouble, he'd know, and since he felt nothing exceptional right now, he assumed it was safe to conclude that she was fine.
Shirking her responsibilities maybe (as if he hadn't been) but fine. A smirk spread across the Alpha's muzzle -- an expression that may or may not have been carried through to his hidden eyes. It was amazing how much the eye could change the meaning of gesture; unfortunately for his packmates, Karolek's mood would always have to be something of a guessing game.
Karolek finally came to a halt at the edge of a slow-flowing stream, staring down at the dark water with that same smile in place. He couldn't see any fish or anything worthwhile in the water, but perhaps it was something he could make a game out of. The wolf scooted forward, standing with his forepaws submerged and his nose just above the water level, staring. He did not drink, he didn't blow bubbles -- no, Karolek only stood there, still as stone, watching. Waiting.
