Pulling Armageddon up far enough so he could finally get on terra firma, Pollux let out a rattling sigh panting to catch her breath. That had been terribly close, licking her chops to check her teeth she finally turned her attention to the young male. Sniffing him over until she was certain that he was safe.
After fussing for a moment, she finally seemed pleased that he was fine. "Well...that was fun, lets not ever do that again please." she chuckled shaking her head, "I mean, i might belong there, but I don't want to go to hell sooner than i have to." she nudged him, teasing about his words before.
"You alright pup?"

With a final jerk from Pollux's end, Armageddon's back paws got a good grip of the cliffside and he lunged forwards and over, landing on his side on solid ground. His muscles screamed in pain, and he panted, his tongue laying on the dusty earth. Tears streamed down his face as everything crashed down on him once more. For maybe two glorious minutes he had forgotten about everything--except the fact that he was in grave danger.
Tears continued to leak down his face, and he cried silently as Pollux seemed to fuss over him. She said something that did not register in his mind but would be stored away for him to remember later. "I mean, i might belong there, but I don't want to go to hell sooner than i have to." she said jokingly, nudging him. This brought a slight smile from his open panting mouth. "You alright pup?" Pollux asked. Armageddon looked away as if in submission. He shut his eyes tight, squeezing away the tears. Though his muscles protested, he eased himself up to a sitting position, head hanging. "I am sorry." he said in a low, rough voice that reminded him of his fathers, though those words would never leave the lips of the latter.
"I am a coward."
He brought his shining eyes up to her face, sincere sadness etched over his. "Are you okay, Pollux? I didn't mean to say those things or put you in danger. I am just... alone and scared."

Pollux looked at Army with almost sad eyes. "Well, if you're really sorry about it...why not do something? Its not me you should be apologizing to, you've only been hurting yourself." The scout cocked her head to the side at his sadness making a slight huffling sound.
"Are you okay, Pollux? I didn't mean to say those things or put you in danger. I am just... alone and scared."
"Pfffssst, me? I'm fine, I've lived through worst and I assure you, I've been called worse." she winked and laughed, stretching her limbs before her muscles stiffened up, but his sad little admittance of his feelings mad her freeze, giving Army a small maternal whine. "Nice thing about a pack, if you don't immediately assume everyone hates you...you aren't as terribly alone as you think..." which was a lie of course, Pollux had never really warmed back up to Arnlan after Castor's untimely death, "Hell that's crap, I'm sorry...Well, at least...if you have friends, and I know you have them here, they say good things about you."
"But it is always scary to figure you're the only one in your situation isn't it?"

"Well, if you're really sorry about it...why not do something?" "I don't know what to do--"
"Its not me you should be apologizing to, you've only been hurting yourself."
The air from an oncoming protest hissed out of his lungs slowly and he hung his head. She was right, after all.
"Pfffssst, me? I'm fine, I've lived through worst and I assure you, I've been called worse." laughed Pollux. He smiled and shrugged sheepishly.
"Nice thing about a pack, if you don't immediately assume everyone hates you...you aren't as terribly alone as you think..." He gave this some thought. The only other pack he had been in was his birthpack, and his mother tried to make him feel as normal as possible, though his biological father was a mass murderer, his stepfather left, and his brother hated him. He wasn't going to voice these experiences to Pollux though, they were in the past, and he was ready to forget those things.
"Hell that's crap, I'm sorry...Well, at least...if you have friends, and I know you have them here, they say good things about you." His angular face looked up at her in surprise. Friends? Saying good things? That lightened his somber mood considerably. Maybe he had just started off rough, and it was just darkest before the dawn. If he was to call this place home, he'd have to let go of his past and trust that Pollux and the others will not judge him on who he was destined to be.
"But it is always scary to figure you're the only one in your situation isn't it?" He shrugged dismissively, his mood sombering again.
"Yeah, it is. I mean, I've never met someone whose mate had to be paired with someone else and thus hadn't learned how they went through the whole ordeal. I really-- I don't know what to do besides just... going to find her. But seeing her again... it's going to kill me." He heaved a great sigh. "But I guess I need to grow a pair, stop whining and just do it... probably something you'd suggest." He looked at her with a squinty-eyed smiling expression, joking around with her. Even in the short meetings he had with Pollux, she really made an impact on him for the better. Tough love, that was what the world was all about.

"But I guess I need to grow a pair, stop whining and just do it... probably something you'd suggest."
"I would say that, and yea, you do." Pollux laughed, gesturing with her paw as she pointed in the direction of Nightblood's den. "And if I know anything about your Girlfriend Army, she's most likely moping, by herself trying to look tough...so...go find her." She gave him a strange look, not unlike a scolding motherly figure.
The scout watched him for a moment and looked around, wondering what they were waiting for. "Sooner is better than later kiddo, now move...snap snap." she snapped her teeth for better emphasis and pushed him.
"Go...I'm gonna drag ass back to my den and take a nap...I'm too old for this shit." she then stood, stretched and began to walk off, only pausing to turn and yell one more thing:
"Good Luck Kiddo, you're gonna need it."

"And if I know anything about your Girlfriend Army, she's most likely moping, by herself trying to look tough...so...go find her."
Armageddons stomach seemed to do a backflip, but it was merely a ghost of the last time he'd felt scared. He knew he had to do it. Sighing in resignation, he started walking in the direction Pollux gestured to, toward NightBlood's cave.
"Go...I'm gonna drag ass back to my den and take a nap...I'm too old for this shit."
Armageddon chuckled lightly, watching Pollux head in a different direction, seemingly toward her den. She turned for one last exchange, "Good Luck Kiddo, you're gonna need it." "Thanks," Armageddon mumbled, half to himself, unsure if Pollux heard him or not.
He made it a few meters, then checked if Pollux was far enough away. He could no longer hear her, see her, or smell her.
He turned around and headed northwest. Call him cowardly if you will... he just needed some more time alone.
