Past Personality: Ziro has always been lighthearted and kind. He trusted easily and was eager to please. He was, however, very shy toward those he didn't know well.

Story
Ziro was an easy-going pup for the most part. He was born in Chardan, a pack who's name changed while recovering from a recent forest fire that claimed the lives of his grandfather and sister. Most still weren't used to calling it by its new name. Even though the pack was weakened, the remaining members were strong enough to hold themselves together and keep the pack from falling apart. Despite Ziro's intent to keep to himself, his personality would not permit it. He helped out as best he could, soon becoming the apprentice to his older brother, Taron, who was an Elite Hunter.
Although Ziro was eager to help his brother look good in front of the pack's hunting team, his big paws kept getting in the way. He would almost constantly fall or loose his footing while he ran. Once he even tripped while the team was staking out waiting for the right moment to start the chase. This sent the prey into a stampede. With no one target picked out the team was forced to follow at a distance and wait for the herd to calm down so they could start again.
Eventually, Ziro was released from that rank and was assigned to be the apprentice of Blain, his second-older brother. Blain was a well-known Scout and Ziro honored him for that. The pup had better luck at this new job because he was so likable. Every message they carried to different packs was taken without incident and Chardan's Alliances held strong.
During the journey home after delivering a message to a pack called Kindrim, the team of Scouts had to pass by a human town. They passed without much notice, but one of them quickly fell into a trap set by human hunters. However, the recent rain made the ropes damp and they were able to chew through them, but too slowly. Humans were on the way. They were fast enough to escape and loose them, but it was a close call. They returned to Chardan soon after that.
The next day, disaster struck. The humans had made it to the pack's territory and were rounding up wolves into cages. In a panic to find their loved ones and escape, many were being captured. Only a few had the sense to run and regroup later. Ziro was one of them. He soon found a hidden clearing where the remaining pack members were gathering. Not long after that, two of his brothers entered the sanctuary, followed by Lira and Tagi, his sister and grandmother. It wasn't long before the father, Kiro, entered.
The pack members had been quiet, breaking the silence only to greet loved ones with tears of joy on sight. It was nightfall when a Sentry brought them news that the leaders were dead. Only the Beta male remained, and he was sending Scouts to other packs in the search for help. When Ziro moved to follow Blain, the Sentry stopped him. He reported that it had been Ziro's paw prints that had lead the humans to the territory.
Outraged, Ziro's family turned on him. He had been the reason for the murder of his mother, brother, and grandmother. They chased him to the border, but it was Taron who turned most savage. He leaped across the border to continue the chase, but Blain and Kiro held him back. He vowed that he would kill Ziro if he ever saw him again. Heartbroken, Ziro left without a word.
During his time alone, Ziro came to the conclusion that he had no other choice than to find and join a new pack. However, he was not going to stay in the background and hide from others. He would do his best to help in any way he could, but he would also gain friends and alliances that would help him be a well-liked member of the pack like his previous Beta. He now seeks the pack of Arnlan.
