Rank Descriptions

Alphas: Usually strays who've been in Hallow all their lives. They know the ins and outs of the village and know every dog by name. Orders from this pair are not to be overlooked. Although Hallow runs loosely, they are not totally disorganized. Alphas are the ones to come to when one seeks the protection of the pack.

Betas: The second highest rank is not to be ignored. They are responsible for knowing what is going on in the pack at all times. They're also the ones to advise the alphas and nominate strays for the position of scout should they see fit.

Scouts: Strays who are of age are encouraged to work as scouts. They rotate groups for border patrol and village gate patrol, making sure to know of every stray and pet that enters Hallow. Strays are given the choice to become part of the pack. If so, the Scout may accept them as a member and will report back to the Alphas. If the stray is uncooperative, the Scout may choose to chase them off or allow them into the village without being part of the pack. Wolves, wolfdogs, and dogs who pose a threat should be turned away immediately.

Members: Pets, young members, and those who do not wish to be a scout, but are part of the pack. They are charged with helping fellow packmates at any time when possible.

Pups: Members of the pack who are under 1 year old.

Lurkers: Those who are not part of the pack, but who live in the village. These are non-member strays and pets as well as non-dog inhabitants.

Banished: Strays who have been turned away and wolves to look out for.
