Markings: Various small scars, caused by small teeth or claws, predominantly about the legs and face.
Eyes: Blue
Extras: Thornton is missing part of the skin on his muzzle, on the upper right. The skin and lips that ordinarily covered the first half of his row of upper teeth have been cut away, giving his face the permanent appearance of snarling, or sneering.
Nose pigmentation: Black
Build and Conformation: Sinewy, some muscle, little fat.
Over-All appearance: Ugly
Voice: Has difficulty pronouncing 's' sounds, more often than not they come out as a spitting 'sh' sound, given injuries to his mouth.

Quality of family relationships: Whilst both parents live together in a pack up North as Alphas, the remaining three pups, Thornton included, are all separate form each other, and their parents.

Any regrets? Thornton feels some responisibility for Ardal's death, and often wonders whether he could have saved his brother.
What special circumstance have shaped them into who they are? Being captured by humans and forced to duel other animals to the death.

Physical goals: To defeat the opposition. There are 'regulars' that fight often that Thornton has to analyse for weakness, and there are 'Unknowns', new fighters that may have performed elsewhere.
Psychological/emotional goals? Survive each day.
How does the character deal with anger? Not particularly well. Anger for Thornton is long-held, and not easily abated.
Sadness? Thornton has a certain indifference to sadness, notwithstanding thoughts of Ardal, and his parents.
Loss? Thornton has a remarkable indifference to deaths outside his own family. Friends in his world tend to be very transient, either moving on or getting killed. This occurs so often he is desensitised to his playmates dying.

Ruled by emotion or logic or a combination: Both. He can start trouble through emotions, but when it comes to competition he is a very calculating pup.
Self centered, selfish, or selfless: Selfish. Selflessness does not get anyone anything, in Thornton's view. It is a struggle to become superior to all others.
