Assuming everyone has read the journal on my DA. I'm still here, but I will be updating you guys on what I will be doing with the comic, the board, and all that stuff as soon as possible.
Sorry, guysD:! I just have a lot going on right now (in the middle of getting a job, trying to get a driver's license, other personal reasons).
-Update 11.1.07-
Here's what I have regarding my status so far:
My activity. I will still be here on the board to check up on things a few times a week. However, you may or may not read anything new from me on my visits, depending on what is going on over here on my end or how active I feel like being at the moment. I just hope that doesn't kill the place, though...I will also say, I do think this place would be best off if we just kept it the way it is: a place for a few friends to come and spam, chat, and roleplay. Laid-back, y'know? Not dead, but not crazy active either:B.
The comic. Yes, I am still working on Kloteck. A change, though...I will no longer be coloring the characters in the cell style. Why? For a few reasons (why do I always feel like I'm having to explain myself, lulz).
First of all, while I enjoy seeing it done in other comics/artwork, cell shading just doesn't feel natural when I'm using it in my artwork. I love doing rough sketches, drawing things as they come to me. When I go and do the lineart for Kloteck after finishing the rough sketch for a page, I almost always hate the way it looks: flat, losing all the emotion and movement that the rough had. It's like a copy, not the real thing. I hate the way that looks. At first I was doing it because I thought people wanted to see the cell, but it just doesn't work for me. I love being able to color using emotion and spur-of-the-moment decisions rather than sitting there and coloring flatly like I do when I use lineart. No fun in lineart for me, blah.
That's all I have for now:3.
