I want to make it clear that I'm not -trying- to get the mod position. If it comes, it comes. Someone else is just as likely to get it and I'm not going to try to force my way to the top of anything. Besides, it's Kahv's desision, not mine, and not anyone elses unless she goes ahead with the voting.

Exactly, and I second that statement. I'm not trying to get a mod position either. If its offered, I'll take it, if not, oh well
The only thing I am concerned about as of now is the activeness and well-being of the boards.
We should research what other successfull comic and board writers have done to make their art (and boards) famous and having very active, friendly members.
I think we should research what KayFedewa has done, myself. Brainstorm on the tactics she took and what paths she chose to put her in this position today.
This is not just work on Kahvies part, but on our part as well.
Not saying this should take precedence over RL things, but its an avenue to think about
I personally wanted Cedarburg to still be running... with active members of course. I posted a topic trying to get my wolf Armageddon accepted over two months ago... and of course the board is dead. Armageddon with his disposition would not fit very well in Arnlan so I placed him there.
With just Arnlan (and Sallin) accepting wolves, a lot of people need another avenue without having to make their wolf seem mysterious or (in Sallins case) downright evil. -shrugs-
Not bashing, of course... just voicing my thoughts... however muddled up and confusing they may be

Arg, I feel guilty for being so inactive, and I hate to turn this into excuse-fest, but KO won't load on my computer even with that special link. o-o 'Cause I have dial-up at home now.

I think a couple new mods would be nice, and maybe replace Cedarburg with a more neutral pack? (I'm not sure exactly what the details on NB's pack are)

My pack is neutral in general... I guess. It's a nicer pack. Friendlier. Not overbearingly secretive like Cedar, but respectful of other's space all the same.

Most deffinatly. Although... our demographic should probably be limited to those who now how to or are interested in Role Playing. We don't want a bunch of people just coming here for the SPAM bin. We need to have good members who are willing to TRY and be active.

And I also like the other thing BF pointed out. This isn't just Kahvie's job and not just for her and the mods. This is something for EVERYONE to help out with as best they can. That's all that can be asked of anybody is what they are -able- to do. Not what they're assigned, but what they are willing and able to do.

Yeah, I'm probably guilty of that. I haven't RPed here in a good few weeks, which is a shame cos I like it when I actually get down to it.

As far as overall activity is concerned, it seems that a lot of the people who were very active when I joined here have sort of died away, which is a shame, but let's not point fingers here.

I think maybe one problem here is the lack of suitable active wolf packs for newcomers to place their characters in, especially those who have come from BBA. A few people have got confused cos they didn't want to put their wolf char in Sallin or Arnlan, and maybe have left as a result. Hopefully NB's pack should set this to rights.

It's true that some of our moderators end up visiting once in a blue moon (again through no fault of their own) so maybe it is a good time to appoint a couple of new ones.

That's actually not a bad idea... But let's not leave that to Kahv only. Again, this is for everyone to help. Maybe DA people here can note their watchers? The ones they now are active and like wolves/canines? And like Role Playing?

I don't think we should have another pack unless it is one that has a completely different personality, if you like, than the current packs. People have said that their characters don't suit Sallin or Arnlan.

But really, I think NB, you should just try for an alpha character in one of the comic packs and get that pack up and active. We can't have comic packs dying and non comic packs being active. That's my view on the pack situation.

It's a delecate balance. *sigh* I do agree with you, Smartie, don't get me wrong. However, in order to have more diversity, more packs would be needed. In all reality, tho, we wouldn't be adding to the number of packs. Simply replacing one with a (hopefully) more active and friendly pack. I would think that it does have a unique quality to it, as my pack accepts wolf-dogs and some larger dogs, whereas the other packs are more... racist? That's probably not the right word and may be a bit strong... but you get the idea. ^^;

I think a new pack has the possibility to work out, seeing as Night's so super-mega-active whereas it doesn't seem Lucketh was to the same extent. But then again, I can see that if the new pack becomes active as it allows friendlier wolves and dogs, the comic packs might die away. What a to-do.

0.o Hadn't thought about that. Maybe I can make a rule in the new pack that you have to have at least one other character in one of the comic packs before joining? Would that work?

Nightblood- I know you know Cedarburg isn't a comic pack so I wont bother saying that but to get to what I mean; you are adding to the number of packs because that pack was never active to begin with so it could be described as one of those many packs in Kloteck that aren't important enough to be well known. You know like there will be smaller packs running around in the supposed unclaimed territories.
I'm not against your idea however, I am all for divesity, that was a point I tried to make but was unsure how to express it... I'd basically just like to see Kloteck Omen related packs active and not member ones.

Firedance- Yes, you are right Firedance but seeing as NB is super mega active, perhaps she would be able to help bring another pack to super mega active (:

Ah. I see what you're saying now. Adding to the list of ACTIVE packs. And the main reason I don't try out for High Ranking comic characters is... some of their personalities scare me... *cowers before the almighty Kaine and NightShade* Dun't hurted mee! XD That, and I would think that having a High Ranker would press people to become more active if they have the ability to do so.

Eh...I've never really liked planners all that much. The problem I have with my time is that I go online, even when trying to finish school work, which slows down the process dramatically. Maybe I'll have to do what I planned on earlier: set aside a few hours where I just hole myself up in my room and do school stuff to finish it quickly, regardless of what's happening online. XD I'm not addicted...really... >>;
