(Copypasta from dA, lulz)
I may start working on the comic part of Kloteck Omen again.
Yeah, I know, I said I was gonna quit...this isn't a "set in stone" thing either, so please read on if you have any interest in knowing what might happen with Kloteck.
To start off, this wasn't actually my idea. I'd figured KO was a bit of a lost cause as a comic and I'd just leave it be. However, Mike went on ahead to brainstorm until 4 in the morning to come up with different ways we could approach the Kloteck story and get it to work. I liked some of the ideas he wrote up, so we are going to try and see what we can do with them. I'll be writing some character profiles for him so he can help me flesh out stuff more and such, so I'm hoping I can get started on that soon.
However, there are a few catches. One, we will be starting over instead of continuing where the last page I ever submitted left off (I figured this would be a bit obvious, but I thought I'd make that clear anyway). Two, I probably won't be using Kahvie in it, as I want to keep her (and most likely Beaver) for the new comic Mike and I were planning. Chances are I'll be using Atticus, a character I created for the first RP I ever joined which died out in 2006. While I haven't done anything with the character since, she came to mind because she's always been a personal favorite of mine. I'll probably get some art of her up eventually. Three, the comic won't be colored the way it used to be. I'll most likely use one or two colors to give it some life, but other than that it won't be highly detailed color-wise (I'm still gonna try to make it look good, of course. It'll probably just be a lot more abstract that it used to be). Four, I'm leaving NC on the 19th to visit my family for the holidays, so I'm not sure how well Mike and I will be able to collaborate while we are on opposite sides of the country for a month and a half. This means the comic may very well not be started until 2009 (crap, this year went by fuckin' fast), and even then not until a few months into the year...it all depends on how productive we are with coming up with detailed story arcs, character profiles, and the like.
That all being said, again: none of the above stuff is set in stone. I still have mixed feelings about reviving KO, and I'm not sure how well my guy and I will be able to pull it off. Mike is a very creative writer, but it may turn out that we simply will not be able to save Kloteck. Therefore, I'm not promising anything. We're gonna try, though:3.
Hope everyone had a great Halloween!
